Before my trip, I compared several guesthouses in Anji and finally chose Suiyuan Life·Vihara. Every single one was a hit, making it a top choice for a short getaway in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai area. The architectural design is meticulous and thoughtful, blending ancient charm with modern aesthetics in a neo-Huizhou style. The iconic horse-head walls and gourd-shaped beams are perfectly preserved, while the rammed earth walls from the old house add a touch of history to the courtyard. The winding stream and flowing water create a graceful and elegant landscape, making every step a scenic view. The public areas are designed with a warm, inviting atmosphere. Multiple tea tables in the lobby offer opportunities for leisurely tea gatherings and conversations. Experiences like copying scriptures and making sachets allow for quiet contemplation and relaxation. The trendy spiral staircase is perfect for photos without any filters. The corner Chinese-style courtyard design offers excellent light and shadow effects, creating a unique scene on rainy days. The sound of raindrops catching on banana leaves soothes away travel fatigue. The back garden features several outdoor tea tables, offering a tranquil setting for tea and scenic views amidst the mountains and forests. The accompanying tennis court is a pleasant surprise, providing a space to exercise and stretch after a long rest. The guest room experience was full of surprises, with the Shiguang room type boasting top-notch amenities. A private outdoor soaking tub and independent sauna offer a one-stop solution for relaxation and rejuvenation; vinyl records and a projector provide immersive relaxation; a bathtub, smart toilet, and Xiaodu smart system enhance the convenience of daily check-in. The hardware configuration far surpasses other guesthouses in the same price range. The butler service was impeccable. Before check-in, they proactively contacted us online to discuss all our needs, pre-adjusting the soaking tub water temperature and placing mugwort mosquito coils to repel insects. A bedtime dessert was delivered promptly each night. The service was attentive yet not overly intrusive, resulting in an excellent experience. Breakfast was anything but perfunctory. Authentic and comforting Chinese dishes included wontons, multigrain porridge, and steamed sweet potatoes and yams; while the Western-style breakfast was exquisite and plentiful, featuring egg tarts, bacon, sausages, salad, yogurt, and freshly squeezed juice. The ingredients were fresh and plentiful, ensuring we started each day full of energy. The guesthouse enjoys a tranquil and private location. With excellent service, facilities, views, and dining options, it offers great value for money. I've already recommended it to friends and will definitely stay here again when I visit Anji!

This stay was fantastic, and the hotel's biggest highlight is definitely the environment. Our room directly faced stunning mountain views and lush greenery, offering an incredibly expansive vista. Sitting on the balcony, gazing at the water and distant mountains, really brings a sense of peace and tranquility. Especially on good weather days, the reflections on the water are beautiful and make for perfect photos every time. The overall design of the hotel also has a great sense of quality; the architecture blends seamlessly with the surrounding natural environment. It’s not one of those overly commercial or noisy resort hotels. It offers a strong sense of privacy and a true vacation feel. Waking up to mountain views in the morning and taking a stroll around in the evening makes for a wonderfully relaxing experience, almost without needing any other itinerary. The room itself was clean, tidy, and very comfortable to stay in. The staff were very helpful and responsive when needed, yet never intrusive, which was a huge plus. If you're looking for a place to unwind for a couple of days, escape the city, and enjoy some quiet relaxation, I think this place is perfect. The photos are already beautiful, but experiencing the mountain and water views in person is even more comfortable and relaxing than what the pictures convey. I would definitely come back again if I get the chance.

The hotel is located in a small village at the heart of the bamboo forest, which offers stunning views on the surrounding mountains and tea fields. The rooms are nicely decorated and pretty well equipped. The personal is very kind and try to be helpful. That being said, our stay was not as good as we had expected because the bedroom and the restaurant were freezing cold. When we first arrived in our room the heating was off so we had to turn it on, which was fine, however 5h later it was still only 17°c in the room and it was already getting dark… We complained and the staff kindly offered to upgrade us to a room which was supposed to be warmer and it was, but only by one or two degrees depending on the hour of the day. The restaurant was only 10°c so we had to eat with jackets and hats on. The floor heating had not been turned on yet unfortunately. So if you consider staying at this hostel during Autumn/Winter make sure to ask if the floor heating is on before booking.

Travelers beware! The photos advertising Ke Gamer do not resemble to actual room and the food is horrible. I opted to upgrade to the private hot spring villa for close to 4000rmb a night expecting a high class experience but was instead highly disappointed! We arrived on a Saturday and reserved a table at the restaurant, famished from traveling and expecting a wonderful meal. They did not mention that this was a set menu (only for the package that was included with the room) so there was no option to select my dishes nor to explain our gluten free diet. First bread came (couldn’t eat it, gluten) then a mushroom chicken soup that was difficult to swallow. Over salted and the chicken was rubbery. Then came there version of a kimchi that was ok. Shrimp next that was battered (gluten) and smothered in mayonnaise, and then an over salted spicy beef dish and inedible veggies dish.At this point we decided to leave and opted instead to pay for food delivery. When we shared this information with the assistant helping us he messaged me saying you are a foreigner would you prefer chicken wings or a steak. I’ve been living in China 10 years and never spoken to so rudely. My gf then wanted to have a soak in the hot spring and have a fire because the rain had stopped but she was told no they could not do this for us that night. That’s when I added the wechat and she deleted him so she would no longer have to talk to someone so rude. We did find it strange that even though I was now in communication with him he still attempted to friend my gf several times, very disrespectful!! After I explained how unsatisfactory the service was to that point he made more of an effort and we did get to enjoy a relaxing evening outside. The next day we stayed away from the restaurant not wanting to have that experience again so ordered delivery service again, decent food for delivery. We did attempt the on site restaurant one more time before checking out for breakfast and this was awful as well. Cold eggs, bacon and sausage. They did have a nice assortment of breads which we could not eat (gluten) so we had a yogurt container and coffee before leaving. One part of the stay was an assistant driving us into town to a nice tea shop. He took us tot he location and offered to help us select a shop. He was very friendly and helpful inside the shop to explain the differences in teas and get us a good deal. We ended up purchasing 2 boxes of tea to take home. Overall I did not enjoy the stay at this overpriced and falsely advertised hotel. This is certainly one case when we did not get what we paid for. Wishing you better luck than we had.

Nestled among rolling green hills and vast expanses of green fields, a resort hotel stands like a lost gem. Stepping into this world, one feels like entering a secluded paradise, detached from the world. The hotel's exterior cleverly blends in with nature, creating a captivating contrast with the surrounding mountainous landscape. Opening the window, the refreshing aroma of tea, mingled with the fragrance of earth and grass, wafts through the air. In the distance, the rolling green hills intertwine with the azure sky, creating a breathtaking scene. The hotel also boasts a spacious outdoor swimming pool, shimmering in the sunlight, creating a striking contrast with the nearby mountains and forests. At night, gaze up to a sky filled with stars. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, time seems to slow down, filling one with a sense of comfort and tranquility. Several families travel together, and dozens of people rent the entire hotel for a group building event—a truly fantastic experience.

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely exceptional. From the very beginning, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. There was a small mistake during our stay, but the way the hotel handled it truly impressed us. They sincerely apologized and kindly offered us complimentary drinks and fresh fruits, which was a very thoughtful gesture. We would especially like to thank 徐云 and 王永芳 for their kindness and constant support throughout our stay. Their professionalism and warm attitude made our experience even more enjoyable. We are also deeply grateful to the manager, 罗会军, whose exceptional care truly stood out. What touched us the most was their genuine hospitality. When we were leaving, we couldn’t find a taxi, and the manager personally drove us down the mountain. This level of service is rare and unforgettable. Throughout our stay, the staff were always helpful, kind, and attentive to every detail. It felt like we were not just guests, but truly valued visitors. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for outstanding service, warm hospitality, and a memorable experience. We will definitely come back again!

Let's start with the downsides: I haven't seen anyone mention this in reviews, but it's not quiet and can be noisy. There's a pump house right outside the entrance, which is a source of noise at night. The hotel is located on a small road, and even though there aren't many cars, they tend to drive quite fast, so you need to be careful. Next to the main entrance, there's another guesthouse under construction, which will likely add to the noise. Also, Xiaosenlin isn't a standalone property; there's another guesthouse called 'Shanxia Xiaozhu' still under construction within the same compound. I think the guesthouse should have mentioned this; I specifically came during the off-season hoping for a peaceful place to stay with my dog. Most reviews mention it's convenient for rafting in the summer. The room itself has some issues: the floor is uneven, the furnishings are a bit old and not well-maintained, and it's a bit damp. The showerhead provides a fine spray, but the water pressure is weak. There are quite a few mosquitoes, especially if you open the door – they'll all fly in. You need to keep the lights off inside to avoid them. The refrigerator door opens in an awkward direction and is placed in the corner of the sink area, causing the door to hit the mirror cabinet next to it. The staff who checked us in didn't even plug it in; the owner had to come and plug it in herself. The power outlets are also very hard to find and plug into. Now for the positives: The overall layout has a very 'small forest' feel, with well-arranged spaces. The glass cafe on the second floor is very elegant and nature-themed, probably the one featured on Ctrip's homepage. The terrace on the second floor offers a nice view. There's a large, very gentle and cute Labrador. Surprisingly, there's a refrigerator, which many guesthouses lack. The switch for the fan/AC was a bit hard to find, and when the remote control ran out of batteries, the owner quickly replaced them. She also recommended a fantastic noodle place in the nearby town and a quiet walking trail along the river, which is almost car-free and about 4km long, winding through streams, bamboo forests, and tea plantations. Overall, the value for money is quite good, especially when traveling with a dog. The fact that they didn't charge an extra cleaning fee for the dog was a really nice touch.

We had a wonderful, relaxing Dragon Boat Festival getaway. The weather was perfect – it rained when we weren't out, allowing us to fully enjoy Anji's beautiful scenery and laid-back pace. The Shanfeishan Hotel is tucked away in the Cloud Grassland scenic area, offering stunning mountain views right from your door and excellent service. From the hotel, it's a short, scenic walk to the beautiful Gaoshi Village and the picturesque Xianlong Lake. At Xianlong Lake, we even met a kind man who let us pick as many bayberries as we wanted (they were perfectly sweet and sour!). After enjoying the sights, we indulged in some authentic Anji dried noodles – it was truly a fulfilling experience. Anji is a fantastic place, and I can't wait to visit again.

This trip with my little one to the Cloud Grassland 1168 Starry Sky Astronomical Hotel far exceeded our expectations. Our butler, Xiao Yang, was incredibly thoughtful and provided a lot of helpful travel assistance throughout our stay. The hotel is located inside the scenic area, saving us the hassle of commuting back and forth, and opens right onto a vast grassland. The mountains are often shrouded in mist, the Hobbit houses are super photogenic, and you can even see little lambs – my child had a blast. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bath was perfect for unwinding after a day of activities. We spent our days enjoying the park and our nights stargazing. It's truly a great place to escape the city and relax.

The hotel lady is very nice, polite and welcoming. As they saw that I was pregnant, they offered to help carry our bags to our room. The view from the room is lovely. Bathtub on the balcony is relaxing and can enjoy the nice view at the same time. I read some reviews about bugs. This homestay is in the middle of nature, so naturally you can expect bugs to be around. We were lucky with only one flying bug in our bedroom. Some minor things, like the door handle of the bathroom door wasn’t securely fastened and the bathtub leaked a bit. But it was nothing major. The pool could maybe use a bit of a shady area, as it gets quite hot on sunny days and there is nowhere to relax in the pool in the shade. This is just a tip. We enjoyed the pool either way. There is a wonderful view from the pool and the water was nice and cool.
