Guest User🏨 **About the Hotel:**
This low-density resort, converted from an old schoolhouse, boasts 23 rooms with a charming blend of Suzhou and Japanese architectural styles. The facilities and service are top-notch, making it the perfect place to unwind.
🛏 **Room & Service:**
We booked a courtyard room, which was spacious and quiet at 80 sqm.
✅ **180° Floor-to-Ceiling Windows:** Perfect for lounging in bed and gazing at the misty bamboo forest. The mini-bar offers complimentary Evian and Perrier.
✅ **Service:** Expect a free fruit platter daily and a complimentary 'goodnight soup' in the evenings. Staff are incredibly responsive – ginger tea is brought to you immediately after a swim, and a shuttle is ready whenever you need to head out.
✅ **Amenities:** The hotel offers a home theater, bar, heated pool, gym, billiards, a book bar, and a fantastic restaurant (it’s delicious and totally changed my perception of Jiangnan cuisine!). You can also borrow bicycles. It’s an all-inclusive experience, so you barely need to leave the property, though the spa is still under construction.
There are also rice paddies and cherry blossoms; it must be stunning in autumn and spring. I’d love to come back!
🍽 **Dining:**
You absolutely must try the 'Mountain and Wilderness' cuisine at Liyuan Restaurant. Many dishes require a day’s advance booking. The braised goose was incredibly tender, and the 'Yan Du Xian' soup was incredibly flavorful. Breakfast can even be delivered to your room – enjoying breakfast in bed while looking at the bamboo forest is incredibly relaxing.

Guest UserI had a wonderful and very satisfying trip to this B&B in Anji. My family stayed in a detached mountain-view family room, which had a simple, eco-friendly wooden cabin style. It's a two-story unit with a bed on each floor. NookNook B&B is nestled on a mountain 700 meters above sea level, surrounded by bamboo forests, offering high negative oxygen ions – a natural oxygen bar. The lush greenery is incredibly refreshing and allows you to relax peacefully all day.
Driving from the foot of the mountain (where the Jiangnan Tianchi Scenic Area sign is) takes about 30 minutes along a winding mountain road to reach NookNook. Along the way, you'll pass the popular Fujiwara Tofu Cafe. A short distance past the cafe, you'll see the Jiangnan Tianchi Scenic Area parking lot. Turn left at the parking lot (there's a NookNook sign) and continue for another 10 minutes on a narrow, winding country road. (This section can be quite dark at night, so be careful if driving after dark.) You'll then arrive at the hotel. There's ample parking, about 10 spaces, with two charging stations that can accommodate four cars simultaneously.
The hotel service is excellent. A butler will add you on WeChat in advance, and upon arrival, a staff member will help carry your luggage to your room. The hotel offers a variety of facilities, including hot springs (additional charge), an outdoor swimming pool (shallow, good for photo ops and kids playing), KTV, and a chess/card room (reservations via the butler, free of charge). The front desk also has an XBOX available in the evenings. They even arrange bonfires at night, with self-service roasted sweet potatoes and marshmallows. The hotel is located at the very end of the Daliang Ancient Path's summit. You can walk down the ancient path directly from the hotel for a small hike of about 4000 meters round trip. This scenic path, surrounded by bamboo, also features a stream, making for beautiful scenery.
While the hotel's breakfast is a fixed set menu, you can also request noodles, rice noodles, mini wontons, small steamed buns with meat, and poached eggs. There's also a self-service selection of bread, milk, and juice. If you wish to have lunch or dinner at the hotel, you need to book your dishes one day in advance, and there's an additional charge. The bamboo forest chicken and bamboo shoots are very fresh and delicious, and the dishes are refined and tasty. The hotel also provides complimentary afternoon tea, and the bar offers a la carte coffee, cocktails, and more.
Every corner of the hotel offers beautiful views, making it perfect for a full day of relaxation. If I get the chance, I would definitely consider revisiting in the winter.

The hotel is located in a small village at the heart of the bamboo forest, which offers stunning views on the surrounding mountains and tea fields. The rooms are nicely decorated and pretty well equipped. The personal is very kind and try to be helpful.
That being said, our stay was not as good as we had expected because the bedroom and the restaurant were freezing cold. When we first arrived in our room the heating was off so we had to turn it on, which was fine, however 5h later it was still only 17°c in the room and it was already getting dark… We complained and the staff kindly offered to upgrade us to a room which was supposed to be warmer and it was, but only by one or two degrees depending on the hour of the day. The restaurant was only 10°c so we had to eat with jackets and hats on. The floor heating had not been turned on yet unfortunately. So if you consider staying at this hostel during Autumn/Winter make sure to ask if the floor heating is on before booking.

I am a hotel control. Unless there is a better B&B than a hotel, I will update my hotel B&B ranking list after staying at Ke Player. I chose two B&Bs for this trip to Anji. After booking, I found that they were both in the same village. Ke Player, we stayed in a tree house, which was really built against the mountain. It was a bit difficult to climb up, but the feeling of being embraced by nature was great. The aesthetics of the B&B are first-class, the details are great, and the most important service is responsive, far exceeding that of a five-star hotel. It was very late when we ordered takeout, and the housekeeper also delivered it to the tree house for us, and brought us beer and Coke. The bathing pool is also one room and one time period. We chose the night, listened to the insects, smelled the grass, and washed away the smell of a month's work. I hope Ke Player will not forget his original intention and continue to maintain a high level.

The hotel's hardware isn't great, but they try to compensate with their software (service and staff). First, the location is lovely with beautiful views, but the internal facilities are quite old. Second, I noticed a lot of young service staff, which made me feel they were leveraging cheap summer intern labor to boost service quality. Third, the housekeeping for new rooms was inefficient, leading to slow check-ins. They should hire more cleaning staff instead of having so many guests jammed in the lobby, pressuring the front desk. The noise from children and disgruntled parents really detracted from the relaxing atmosphere a resort hotel should have. Fourth, breakfast hours were too short. For a resort hotel, breakfast only served until 10:30 AM is ridiculous. Everyone had to wake up early like they were going to work just to get a seat. Fifth, guests can clearly see how hard the staff work. If you don't have the capacity, don't take on the task. With so few service staff trying to handle so many guests, perhaps management should consider increasing staff numbers instead of having employees repeatedly apologize that rooms aren't ready. Lastly, our butler Summer Shen was lovely and worked very hard. The staff and service personnel are clearly striving to improve the hotel's ratings and service, but I'm not sure what management is doing.

aaatubuaaaThis hotel was designed with great intentions. the architecture is splendid, as are the surroundings. It's a great starting point to discover the region of Anji. However, as beautiful as the hills and the simplistic villas are, the hotel was let down by a relatively poor service. The staff were always friendly and willing to help. However, it was chronically understaffed, and it seems they don't understand what kind of gem they are running. As an example, we went to the bar multiple times. It was beautifully designed, provided a limited, but good enough choice of teas and alcoholic beverages. But it did not have a bar tender. Instead, we had to walk to the reception, ask for someone to come by, then go back and place our oder. We were served, but I felt like a burden to the staff. There was no music and no attempt to use the location and scenery to create a unique atmosphere. Instead, we were left alone, unattended in a quiet, empty room, that happened to look like a bar.
One more thing: If you wish to have dinner, you need to order a day in advance.

Guest UserThis Club Med is truly a hassle-free option for family trips.
🥐 Regarding dining and space
The breakfast was incredibly rich, with both Chinese and Western options, and the quality was consistently high. The kids loved it, and the adults were satisfied too. The room was very spacious, with an extra-wide bed, plenty of room for a family of four. The children had ample space to play in the room, and it never felt crowded.
🎉 Regarding parent-child activities
It truly lives up to its reputation as the ultimate family resort! There were so many activities. Our children weren't old enough for the kids' club (it's for ages 4 and up), but I'm sure it would have been even more fun for them to play with other kids, and it would have given the adults a break. The evening activities were especially fantastic. Every night there were different themed shows and parties, with the G.O.s singing and dancing. My two kids were mesmerized, dancing along with them, and the atmosphere was wonderful! The children didn't want to leave until very late.
💖 Special thanks to GRO Eric
Special thanks to our GRO Eric! He took care of us meticulously from check-in to check-out. When he learned we had booked two rooms, he specifically arranged generous fruit platters for both. Knowing we had two children, he also provided extra milk. These thoughtful details truly touched us!
In summary, this was a trip where everyone in the family, young and old, was satisfied. Highly recommended for all families with children!

This Anji Little Forest B&B is perfect for travelers with furry friends! They don't charge a deposit or a pet cleaning fee. The owner has a Labrador named Koala 🐨, who's a really gentle big brother and played happily with our dog. The courtyard is surrounded by bamboo, and the air is incredibly fresh. If the sun were to shine through the leaves, the whole atmosphere would be so relaxing. Unfortunately, it rained when we were there, so we got to listen to the rain falling on the bamboo. Our room had a terrace and an outdoor bathtub 🛁, which I would have definitely used if the weather hadn't been so cold.
The owner is very easygoing and pet-friendly; our dog had an absolute blast. When traveling with a dog, I always prioritize B&Bs run by fellow dog owners – if you know, you know. The surrounding attractions are all pretty close and easily accessible by car. The best part is the bamboo chicken stew here in Anji – it's incredibly fragrant and delicious in every bite! You can search Gaode Maps for local restaurants that locals frequent. I'll definitely come back next time! We also went to a paragliding base cafe on the hillside, but things were a bit pricey, and the view wasn't great due to the rain. Hopefully, I'll have a chance to come back in the summer to enjoy some water activities.

A Hidden Gem in the Mountains – Exceptional Service!
This hotel is an absolute treasure, nestled beautifully in the mountains. The rooms are clean, cozy, and well-kept, but what truly made our stay unforgettable was the incredible staff.
Though they don’t speak much English, they went above and beyond to communicate with us via WeChat, ensuring we felt welcome and understood. They surprised us with a room upgrade and took care of every little detail—adjusting the pool temperature when they noticed it was too cold, providing Western food options, and even recommending the best local activities and restaurants.
Their kindness and dedication made our trip so special. We’re truly grateful for their hospitality and will absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with outstanding service!

Guest UserThis summer weekend, we took our kids on a family trip, and I have to say, the service at Starlight Hotel was exceptional throughout! Our butler, Yolo, was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. She contacted me in advance with all the key check-in information and patiently answered every single one of my questions.
Upon arrival at the reception center on check-in day, after completing the check-in process, a hotel shuttle took us to the cable car entrance. (Friendly tip: You can buy adult cable car tickets in advance. Children over 1.2 meters also need a ticket.) The hotel is located on the mountain, and after reaching the top via cable car, another hotel shuttle will take you directly to the hotel. We didn't have to worry about a thing!
For activities, the 'Cloud Top Grassland' with its blue skies and white clouds was simply stunning in the summer. We were even lucky enough to see a rainbow 🌈 and some sheep passing by! We went grass-sledding, which the kids absolutely loved. There's also a 'Children's Paradise' suitable for younger kids, and various other recreational facilities to choose from. Even if you don't want to do anything active, just lying down and watching the clouds and scenery is a pure delight, looking at the rolling green hills in the distance – it was truly a 'Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains' painting come to life! We watched the sunset and sunrise, and in the evening, there was a drone show that was absolutely spectacular. It was a joyful and fulfilling day!
As for dining, there's a buffet, a Chinese restaurant, and other food outlets like Papa John's and Honeymoon Desserts. There's also a Luckin Coffee in Xianxia Town.
