It's incredibly quiet and peaceful here – you only hear the birds and the rustling of the wind over the Nile. The hotel is surprisingly clean. Despite its ethnic style, the housekeeping is impeccable – not a speck of dust or sand, even though we're in the desert. The rooms are huge, spacious, with high ceilings. Special thanks for the balcony – mornings started with coffee overlooking the river, and in the evenings we admired the sunsets. The hotel itself is incredibly colorful: bright Nubian colors, ornaments, and distinctive design – it's a feast for the eyes and creates a great mood. The common area is decorated with immense love – it's pleasant to sit there for hours, chatting or reading a book. But the main treasure of this hotel is the staff. Very, very friendly people, always ready to help. I especially want to mention the owner – he's a true host who cares for every guest as if they were family. It's interesting to talk to him; he'll tell you everything about the culture and give sound advice. And, of course, the food – that's a separate art form. Everything is incredibly delicious and very filling. The breakfasts were so hearty that we had enough energy until evening. Be sure to try their fresh juices and Nubian tea – it's divine, and the coffee is excellent too. The only nuance to consider is the internet. It's not the most powerful, but you certainly can't call it weak. We worked remotely, video calls went without serious issues, and email and messengers worked perfectly. So, it was perfectly adequate for remote work. I would return here with great pleasure. I wholeheartedly recommend it!

First, the hotel picked me up at the ferry dock by their own boat, which really helped me relax after a tiring journey. When I arrived, everything felt very new furniture and very big room—especially the bathroom—and the whole place was very clean. One thing I really appreciated was how quiet it was, so I could sleep very well. The owner is also very kind and helped arrange the trips I wanted to go on. I originally booked for just 2–3 nights, but ended up staying for a full 7 days.

The only minor issue was that the address was a bit hard to find, and navigating there by car was tricky. However, the room was very clean and, though small, had everything I needed. The owner, who looked Nubian, was incredibly helpful and friendly. Waking up to a Nile sunrise right from my bed was a fantastic experience!

Everything was perfect, from our arrival to our departure. The hotel is magnificent, the decor is exquisite, and the infinity pool is huge with a view of the Nile. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. Our room was very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. We were even able to visit Agatha Christie's famous suite and the presidential suite, a special thank you to the young woman who gave us the tour, unfortunately, I didn't catch her name. We had an excellent stay and wished we could have stayed longer – maybe next time! Thank you for your warm welcome, kindness, and all your thoughtful touches. 😍

Food: Provides local food, fair price, good taste👍 Service: Good service, some staff can speak English, communication is barrier-free; round trip boat ride is free, round trip boat ride during the stay is 200 pounds, round trip to Philae Temple is 400 pounds (it seems that the temple pier charges some fees); we asked the hotel to book a car to Abu Simbel Temple, 4100 Egyptian pounds, a little expensive but it seems to be a service provided by a formal company, the driver is very good👍 Environment: The hotel is opposite the Philae Temple, and it takes about ten minutes to take a boat from the pier to the island where the hotel is located. The scenery of the Nile is beautiful: there will be some geckos in the room, hahaha, but there is no problem with going to the toilet and taking a shower, and the sanitary conditions are better than expected. Overall, it is worth recommending. There is no wifi, but it is an interesting natural experience.

This time, we were seated on the first floor, and the view of Aswan was absolutely stunning right outside the door—in some ways even better than the Old Falls. The front desk staff were very helpful; they booked us a complimentary Nile River cruise, and even helped us buy medicine in the middle of the night when we got sick. We booked a round-trip tour to Abu Simbel through the hotel; the vehicle was in good condition and reliable.

This hotel has a unique decor style, full of childhood memories. We encountered a sandstorm the night we checked in, which was quite an experience! The hotel manager was very welcoming and provided excellent service, fulfilling all our needs. We stayed for four consecutive nights and really loved it. From here, you can take a boat to the other side of the Nile and enjoy the most beautiful views. The river breeze was very pleasant, and it wasn't hot during the day. The only downside was the Wi-Fi; it only worked in the lobby, and there was no signal in the room, which was inconvenient.

This hotel is really old and definitely not worth the price. We stayed in Luxor for the same price and it was much, much better. The room was tiny; it was hard to move around after putting down two suitcases. It was supposed to be a 1.5m bed, but they put a 1.8m mattress on it, so if you sleep too close to the edge, it sags... The toilet leaked all night, and the air conditioning barely cooled the room.

This is a very contradictory B&B hotel that I don't know if it is worth recommending. Its shortcomings and advantages are very prominent. It is suitable for Internet celebrities to make photos (the following photos are all original photos without retouching), but it is not suitable for anyone who has certain requirements for ”accommodation” itself. If you can find any cheap + clean + similar scenery alternative hotel, it is recommended to change it, but if it is just for taking pictures and scenery, it may be ranked at the top in Nubian Village. First of all, you have to be able to tolerate: 1. The hotel price is not cost-effective in the peak season, and the B&B offers the price of a five-star hotel. 2. Poor room facilities, rough-style furniture and narrow rooms, worrying bed sheets, bathroom shower water overflowing and drainage is useless, no slippers, toothbrushes, hair dryers (phone front desk can provide). 3. The breakfast is self-service and extremely simple and unpalatable, unlike some people who commented on the set and inexplicably praised it. 4. Tolerate or pay more to continue to tolerate the complaints of the chartered driver to drive into Nubian Village, and then contact the hotel by yourself in the middle of the night to change to a three-wheeled motorcycle in the deserted and dark mountains for 15 minutes to doubt life and reach the mountaintop hotel. 5. Other prices are very unreasonable. We originally wanted to book dinner for the New Year's Eve party, but it cost 100 US dollars per person... What did we get here? 1. The balcony of the room can see the unbeatable sunrise on the west bank of the Nile. We witnessed the first light of 2025 here at 6 am. 2. The various poses in the cultural buildings of the Nubian Village are very photogenic. 3. The desert next to the hotel is very photogenic. 4. A very special cultural experience of a group of tourists jumping up and down the mountain in a row of three-wheeled vehicles. 5. The hotel service staff is relatively friendly. Finally, it is explained that Egypt is not a country where tipping is allowed. Carrying luggage is a basic service of any hotel in their country. No one asked for tips during the entire stay.

Benben is a beautiful place and the service is top notch. Why the 3 stars? Our room jacuzzi was way too hot to enter. On the first day they send someone over who added cold water so we could enjoy it. Then on the second day as we are coming back from our day trip and want to relax, we find out our jacuzzi is again way too hot. It’s not fun to wait for them to fix this issue when we want to go in right now and not in an hour or so. Also as a 5 stars hotel, the hot water kept running out in our shower after 15 minutes which is quite crazy. It shouldn’t be like this. Or else we loved everything. The food is really good, and as I said the staff/service is amazing.
