Using a deposit to restrain ordinary travelers, rather than those with ulterior motives, was inconvenient. However, the deposit refund was quick and efficient. Overall, if you plan to visit Baoting, I recommend staying in Sanya. It's not worth the hassle of staying in Baoting; aside from Shenyu Island, there aren't many other suitable options.
