Hotel West Court Amami II
"The location is very good. Located in the downtown area, there is no complaint for night meals and drinks. Although it is a downtown area, the rooms were not noisy and comfortable. Amenity is also complete and there is no complaint. It is especially nice to have a large communal bath! It refreshes the sweaty body and relieves fatigue. It was convenient to check in out on the machine."
Hotel Sun Days Amami ★★★
"It was newly built and very clean. I was happy that it had a sauna."
Hotel West Court Amami ★★
"I felt that the ingredients and meals peculiar to the island were also served for breakfast and were delicious. The meal time was short and there were times when it was crowded, so I think it would be good to improve."
Amami Resort Basyayamamura ★★★
"I was determined to eat chicken rice on my trip to Amami. There are many famous restaurants, but I chose Bashayama Village, where Ryohei Suzuki had eaten. I could have more rice, and the authentic taste was the best!"
Guest house AMATERRACE
"The room was clean."
Hotel New Amami ★★★
"This hotel is located in downtown Naze, close to Yanagawa Street, and is convenient for dining and shopping. I rented a car and stayed there for two nights, but it was a little difficult to find the way to the parking lot. There were no particular problems with the facilities, but the room was on a low floor, so the downside to being close to the downtown area was that I could hear the hustle and bustle outside until late at night. I wish the soundproofing was a little better. The food was a buffet and not particularly luxurious, but they also had the local dish of chicken rice, so I was able to enjoy it without having to go to a specialty restaurant."
Hotel Big Marine Amami ★★★
"Good location, close to bus stops, and the nearest beach (Asani Beach) is accessible by bike, which you can borrow from the hotel for free."
Amami Resort Hotel Thida Moon ★★★★
"I was so happy to be able to eat local cuisine. The room was clean, and best of all, it had an ocean view. It was also great to be able to go out to sea."
En- Hostel & Café Bar ★★
"I stayed here on my first trip to Shanghai. The room was clean and the location, right next to the subway, was great. However, there are no supermarkets or street lights at night, so you need to be careful about the time of day when walking around near the hotel. I had heard there was an ATM, but there wasn't. I was able to leave my luggage there before check-in, which allowed me to go sightseeing early in the day. Overall, I recommend it."

Amami Port Tower Hotel
"It's a very old hotel. There is no shower room in the room. You need to use the large bath to take a bath. However, there is a sauna attached, which is very comfortable. The parking lot is not free, but there are dedicated staff to move your car, and the fees are reasonable."
Dei Amami by Tranova
Rest and Lodge Syou
"There was an airport transfer and it was very convenient! Thank you for responding to sudden reservations!"
AZ Hotel Amami Island
"I book this villa for its outdoor jacuzzi, but turns out that the jacuzzi does not work!! I contacted the hotel email and received no reply for my 2-night stay. The shower hose on the jacuzzi tub got only the shower head without the tube, and so the "jacuzzi" renders to a big bath tub, which of course makes a difference to having a real jacuzzi. The location is also quite remote. The hotel is situated inbetween pieces of land where the locals pay tribute to their ancestors (you get what I am referring to). Personally I am fine with that, but nonetheless want to point out for prospective guests to take note. I have rented a car to get to the hotel on its GPS. I am not sure if its remoteness makes the car unable to arrive at the hotel on its GPS resulting in me going back to the car rental seeking for help. If it is not for a local staff there to take me to the hotel, I probably won't be able to arrive at the hotel relying on GPS (note that the car's GPS is fine getting to other places on Amami Island, just unable to locate the hotel). Apart from the above, the hotel is as described per her other facilities (except of course the jacuzzi). It is clean too. Still, I would not book it again."
Cabochon Camp
"If you don’t speak Japanese or have a car, do not stay here. The taxi driver had no idea where it was and no signs when I got there. It is very ramshackle and messy, with little indication of where to go for the cottage. 5 mins to the beautiful Tomari beach and there is a restaurant. The locals took me to a festival which was fabulous, but other than that I didn’t see a soul for two days."
