"Our stay at this so-called 5-star hotel was ruined by the disgusting allowance of cigar smoking during breakfast. The dining area was filled with thick smoke, making it impossible to enjoy our meal or even breathe comfortably. To make matters worse, when I complained, the waiter dismissed me and said, “If I work here and have to deal with this daily, so can you.” This level of disregard for guests is shocking and unacceptable. If you value your health, stay far away from this place. This was anything but a luxury experience. We won’t be returning."

"If you want to use the budget Ibis, I do not recommend it at all, as the value of money does not suit the service provided. I do not recommend this hotel at all. There is no air conditioning, and if there is an air conditioner, it is shared, and you cannot control its cold. The room temperature was 40 degrees Celsius.😠 Overall 1 of 5 But the other IBIS hotel in the same building is better but not recommended also. The hotel location very good, brackets good. Overall 2 of 5 . "

"Excellent central location with beautiful views of the lake and river. Close to decent traditional pubs and restaurants. Would definately recommend the Tap Bar (Hanger 32) - a self service bar - for both beer and food. We had to ask to change rooms as the original room had a strange smell and scaffolding outside where renovations were being done and builders were walking. New room was much better. There were no amenities in the room such as tea or coffee and no option to get one from reception apart from some hot water. Breakfast was tasty and filling."

"A wonderful place to rest. We stayed for 5 days and we are very satisfied. A wonderful rich breakfast with the best quality of food from Switzerland, perfect hygiene, perfect service. I am most satisfied with the service, there was one cake that I liked very much the first day and then it was gone for 4 days, there were many other beautiful cakes but the cake I wanted was not there and I went to ask the chef what it was called, he told me only the name and the next day when I came and when I saw the cake for breakfast I was overjoyed. Our daughter is two months old, when we arrived in the room there was bed for our baby. Beautiful place to relax, spa center and pool perfect. A luxurious hotel with classy guests and a beautiful setting that gives peace and tranquility. ​"

"The room was very clean, but overall had the basic necessities needed to get by. There were no charging ports by the bed, which meant we had to charge our phones by the sink (an active water outlet) which was a health and safety hazard. The bed was rock solid, which made the stay quite uncomfortable. The receptionists were really polite and made sure we had everything we needed. We saw a show at the LAC Lugano that evening which was really lovely and the hotel was conveniently located for this, but was quite tricky to find when coming from Central Lugano. The bathroom was separated into a shower and a toilet, where the sink was in the bedroom which was odd. The toilet didn’t have a lock on the door which lacked privacy and was more like a wardrobe style door, where you could hear everything going on behind it. The shower was a see-through glass door which again, lacked privacy. There were 3 coathangers to hang clothes and not a lot of storage space. The room overlooked the pool which was really lovely, and had a blackout blind to block out light in the morning. We could control the lights from a button beside our bed, which was helpful when going to sleep. However, the shower light wouldn’t turn off at night which was irritating, as when we tried to take the key card that activated the lights out, it cancelled out the power and we couldn’t charge our phones. Overall, this stay was alright for one night but we couldn’t stay here for a week. The negatives outweighed the positives massively."

"The hotel is very well located, with a beautiful view, and it's exceptionally clean. The staff are friendly, very attentive, and speak French, which wasn't always the case in the surrounding restaurants. The establishment also offers 10% discount vouchers for some of its restaurants, which is a nice touch. We also had the good fortune to receive vouchers for Migros as well as free public transport tickets, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Regarding breakfast, it's generally good but lacks a bit of variety, particularly when it comes to pastries. Overall, the value for money is satisfactory."
