Ferry (Recommended)

• Travel time is ~50 minutes, and transit passengers skip Hong Kong immigration.

• Book tickets via the “深圳机场码头” WeChat channel 60 minutes before departure.

Cross-Border Coach

Direct buses from SZX to Hong Kong urban areas run via Shenzhen Bay or Huanggang Port. Travel time: 1.5-2 hours.

High-Speed Rail

The quickest option for city-centre to city-centre travel. Take Metro Line 11 to Futian or Luohu Railway Station, then board a high-speed train to Hong Kong West Kowloon Station.

Shenzhen Airport Terminal 3 Layout & Navigation

SZX’s Terminal 3 is a spacious hub with clear English signage and a logical layout. Here’s a breakdown of each level:

Level 4 (Departure Check-In)

This is where you’ll find check-in counters (for all airlines), self-service kiosks, and airline lounges. Self-service kiosks allow you to print boarding passes and luggage tags. 

Save 10-15 minutes by using these before heading to bag-drop counters.

Level 3 (Departure Gates & Airside)

After security, you’ll enter the airside area, which features departure gates (numbered B1-B82), duty-free shops, dining outlets, and charging stations. 

The international gates are located in the western section, while domestic gates are in the east. 

There’s a quiet zone near Gate B30 for those who need to work or rest before their flight.

Level 2 (Arrivals & Baggage Claim)

Upon landing, follow signs to Level 2 for baggage reclaim. Carousels are clearly marked with flight numbers, and free trolleys are available. Immigration and customs are located here. 

Queue times peak between 9-11 AM and 8-10 PM, so allow extra time during these hours.

Level 1 (Transport Hub)

All ground transport options, metro, buses, taxis, and ride-hailing, are accessible from Level 1. The metro station is located in the basement (take the escalators from Level 1), while taxi and ride-hailing pickups are near Gate 13.
