Really enjoyed our stay. Receptionists were helpful and polite. The rooms were a good size and cleanliness was excellent. Great to have a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Would definitely recommend the terrace restaurant, the food was excellent. zi tried the Tuna poke bowl which was very tasty.

I arrived early in the morning and they had already a lot of room ready, have private parking that is very grateful in that area, as it is usually quite full of cars by the beach. The hotel was very comfortable and clean, had a gym, a terrace on the deck and on the floor 0 sauna, hammam and pool, I thought a little curiosity that was near the reception, but there was just noticed the entrance of other guests. The room was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable. The location in front of the beach is perfect for sunset.

The eating was almost every day really standard and the same, nothing bg special, i thought i will see any typical portugal eat for breakfast. in room no water kettle , for trip is good to make any hot drink and put it in thermos, but was not possible. Good. Of point Clean, small. Friedge at room.

Hotel Solar BOM Jesus was a delightful stay. I appreciated the quiet and serene atmosphere. The room was spotless and comfortable, perfect for a restful night's sleep. Recent 7 night holiday in Madeira. We stayed at the Pestana Churchill Bay Hotel in Camara da Lobos which overlooks the harbour. It is a pousada hotel which I believe once was the old fish market. The hotel is small & boutique in style, simply but beautifully presented. All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional at all times. We stayed on a B & B basis, the breakfast was buffet-style, of excellent quality with plenty of choice available including fresh fruit every morning. Several good restaurants very close by, a real mecca for fish lovers. There is no parking at the hotel but they can arrange parking at a nearby covered car park for £7.50 per day. They have a pass for the barriers & you just pay the hotel at the end of your stay. We received an upgrade to a second floor room with a balcony overlooking the harbour which was lovely. However, it was immediately below the roof terrace restaurant & it was on occasions quite noisy as chairs were moved about. Only a problem if you tend to be in bed early as the restaurant serves until 10.30pm! So either ask for a room on the ground floor which also have views over the harbour or a second floor room at the far end of the building under the swimming pool area. We shall definitely return!

Awesome little town and best hotel in the area I can find! Very comfortable and helpful staff! Shame I didn’t have time to try their Turkish bath room! Breakfast was a spread! And easily walkable downhill and back up (about 2 miles) to the beach restaurants of São Vicente

The hotel has a much more potential than the hotel management has used. It would easily have conditions to serve the clients better and raise the level of the hotel. I do not think it is a 4* but 3*. It was just to improve the cleaning of the room (in our toilet we found 2 cheap!!!), swimming pool furniture/equipment and common areas and room finishes, such as doors and furniture. It would be a 5* but it is really a 3*. Professional staff, and they resolved all our problems, but deserved better conditions.
