RustyGVery grand hotel, dated in the age of build. Very clean bathroom and beds. Amazing, grand entrance way. Very close to sightseeing areas and local sighseening bus stops. Excellent view of the city. Lots of personal amenity provided (toothbrush etc). Access to gym/fitness centre is additional (substantial) costs.
Lovely staff with excellent English.

I really love this hotel! The breakfast spread is fantastic and includes local Hiroshima specialties. They also have a complimentary drink machine available from 2 PM to 11 PM. The room condition was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I highly recommend it! There's a large store nearby called Fuji Grand with a supermarket that's open until 11 PM, which is perfect for grabbing drinks and fruit after a day of sightseeing. If I had to pick a downside, it would be that it's a bit of a walk to the tram stop, and you need to take a bus to Hiroshima Station. However, if you're flexible with your time, you can actually walk to the downtown shopping street in just 10-15 minutes. I truly enjoyed my three-day stay here.

Initially i wanted to book a hotel somewhere in the downtown. But the breakfast and the dinner here caught my eyes. Also the view of the inland islands.
I stayed 2 nights here, I came from Fukuoka where my plane landed. The taxi fare from hiroshima station to the hotel is about 3000-3500 yen.
There is free hotel shuttle bus but i did not take it. Also, there is public bus stopping right outside the hotel (which i found out later).
Though the hotel is old, it is well kept and clean.
The staff were very eager to assist the guests and there is always a smile on the face.
I was given the 17th floor facing east. But the morning sun was too bright. Though it didnt matter much to me.
Another reason i booked this hotel is they have speed boat counter for Miyajima island. I booked one way there as I have the JR pass for return and I have plans after.
One way ticket from hotel to Miyajima is 2400 yen and return is 4500 yen.
There is a convenience store in the hotel.
But I believe they closes at 2200.
Also, there is hot spring in the hotel.
There is a usage charge for it, but i do not recall the price as i did not use.
I went up to the bar on the 1st night. The view was great. Most importantly the price are reasonable too.
For both days, i ate at the chinese restaurant for breakfast.
1st day was Japanese breakfast set.
2nd day was Japanese buffet style breakfast.
They were delicious.
The western and Japanese buffet breakfast at the top floor were very crowded. But they had more selections.
For my return trip to Beppu, I used the concierge (bell desk) to send my big luggage to Fukuoka. The price was okay.
I took the hotel shuttle bus go Hiroshima station. It was a pleasant ride.
Do take note it is first come first serve and there’s a queue.
I will stay here again, should I come back to Hiroshima.
Thank you.

LinussIt was a nice stay. We took a Junior Suite with the private onsen included.
The room is not huge, but has everything needed and is cozy enough. There are many amenities (in the pure Japanese hotel tradition) as well as a ”Yukata bar” in which you can choose your fav yukata.
The biggest perk of the room is obviously the private onsen, which is a truly hidden gem. Very relaxing with a nice seaview.
Staff was very helpful with the clogged sink (came just a few minutes after we called).
The dinner was an impressive buffet, with a wide choice of seafood both to cook (the oysters, abalone and other shells to be grilled were wow) and raw (ikura all you can eat). Besides that, there was a steak live cooking station, shabu shabu as well as sukiyaki.
Definitely a recommended stay!

athena •u•The hotel is near a train station which makes travelling convenient! The staff is also very friendly and can communicate in English. The room is spacious, although it doesn’t have much of a view but it’s not big of an issue for us. The reception is on the third floor and there’s a separate elevator to go up to the guest rooms. It was a comfortable stay

舒扬ShuyangThis was my second stay at The Next Hotel. They have two locations in Hiroshima, and I've stayed at both. I definitely prefer this one over the one closer to the city center. The service here is excellent, and the staff are really friendly. They even provide a BALMUDA pour-over kettle, which shows they really put thought into their amenities. Unfortunately, I missed breakfast because I overslept. Overall, it's a really great hotel.

Guest UserThe room size was decent, not small by Japanese standards. The decor felt quite new. They even had Braille identification at the elevator, which was a nice touch. The hotel is right in the city center, making transportation very convenient. It's really close to the Peace Memorial Park and Atomic Bomb Museum, just a few minutes' walk. The area felt safe and quiet. My only minor gripe was that there was a front desk staff member on the first day, but I didn't see them on the subsequent two days. It seems like many hotels in Japan are moving towards self check-in now, which I'm still getting used to as I don't visit often.

The room was generally clean although there were a couple stains on the couch. The room was quiet which was a plus after a long day of sightseeing. We didn't use the onsen - but thought it was a good amenity to have on site. The room items (toiletries) were kept at the front desk, which helped limit the amount taken by certain guests overtaking products. We thought the location was decent, but still far from the station and the peace memorial park. We would stay here again as the value was decent for what we paid.

Sylvia Kiew20 storey hotel. Diagonally from the train station. You have to cross a major road in front of the train station. Good shopping at Mimomoa, which is the shopping mall located on the other end of the train station. As most shops close at 8pm, this supermarket closes much later.Good for last min buys

Although it was close to Hiroshima Station and the downtown area, the room was quiet and calm. It looked a little old, but it was clean and there were no problems. It was also nice to be able to relax and enjoy the river view from the window. I would definitely stay here again.
