4-Star Hotels in Qinghai, China

The hotel staff were very friendly and the room was spotlessly clean. I originally booked a family room, but the front desk staff upgraded me to a family suite. The room was quite spacious and very quiet at night, ensuring a good night's sleep. The hotel breakfast was also excellent, with a wide variety of options including tangyuan (sweet glutinous rice balls), noodles, and various vegetables. After checking out, the front desk even gave me a small gift. This hotel left a great impression on me, and I look forward to staying here again.

The hotel is located near the Chaka Salt Lake. The hotel does offer room with oxygen supply for guests who are concern over high altitude sickness. We were there during low season and breakfast choices were very limited. I would like to comment on the wonderful service of the staff who went up and above to assist the us. The staff offered to take care of our laundry as timer on the dryer was not working and it's unclear when the laundry load can be dried. Would recommend this hotel to folks who plan to stay overnight in Chaka.

Facilities: The room currently doesn't have diffused oxygen. The underfloor heating is very strong, which can easily trigger altitude sickness. Cleanliness: It's pretty good, but the water is a bit yellow and needs to run for a while. Environment: It's very close to the Erlangjian Scenic Area. The lake view room offers direct views of Qinghai Lake, which is beautiful. Service: The front desk lady upgraded our room type for free, which was great!

The Hilton Garden Inn Xining Chengdong offered an outstanding experience! Its location is superb, right next to the Wuyue Plaza commercial area, making transportation incredibly convenient and not far from Xining Station. This hotel, newly opened in 2026, boasts a modern and elegant design, with a bright and airy lobby that feels connected to nature. The rooms are spacious and spotless, equipped with smart controls, comfortable bedding, and intelligent bathroom facilities. Some rooms even offer city views. The buffet breakfast is extensive, featuring a delicious mix of Chinese and Western dishes. The staff are warm, polite, and responsive, and the hotel provides thoughtful amenities like a 24-hour gym and free parking. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, it's a high-value and ideal choice. Highly recommended!

Location: Super convenient, right next to Xining Station. Xining Station can be a bit tricky to navigate, so walking was actually easier. Service: The lady who checked us in that day was lovely! She proactively offered us breakfast, and when we said we might not have time to eat it, she even offered to pack it for us. Breakfast was also very good and varied, and our request for ice was quickly fulfilled (most other hotels on the Qinghai-Gansu loop didn't have ice). They also offer a shuttle service to the station in the morning, which was excellent! The driver was super nice too! Environment: The cleanliness was very good. Although the hotel is a bit older, the facilities are well-maintained and feel new.

The hotel had a gym, cafe, and a morning breakfast buffet. The room was large and gave a nice view of the city. The staff helped with any questions or requests. They helped me setup their address in the Chinese delivery app *******. They also turned up the heating in the room when I requested that too. The buffet is norming 58 RMB per day, for the food offered this is quite high. The bread was stale and a lot of the food was cold or had an old taste too it. Luckily I was there in the winter when it was free and had no cost. Perhaps in the summer with the cost of 58 RMB the food is fresher. However, I would say that the food available had a lot of variety, with both Chinese and Western options. This is an established hotel that has become much more comfortable after its renovation. They've equipped the rooms with essentials like smart toilets and humidifiers. For business travelers, it's super convenient, just about a ten-minute walk from Xining Station. There are plenty of food options right downstairs, and the hotel even provides washing machines and dryers, which is great for travelers. For its price point, the rooms are pretty much unbeatable. Being a seasoned star-rated hotel, their service and amenities are also top-notch.

Absolutely fantastic! Hands down the best Hampton I've ever stayed at. From the bespectacled manager at the front desk who helped with our luggage on arrival, to the friendly chef preparing noodles at the ADD restaurant, and even the auntie in the laundry room, everyone left a truly memorable impression on us. We were so impressed, we ended up extending our stay for three nights. Every single staff member genuinely cares for the hotel, looks after and satisfies every guest, and goes above and beyond to resolve any issues they might have. The environment: The room was very clean and spacious, with a minimalist design. It felt quiet and comfortable. Hygiene: Very clean. Facilities: Plenty of amenities, including an oxygen concentrator and a humidifier. Service: The front desk staff, cleaners, and security guards were all very polite, and they even offered small fruits as a gift. Other experiences: The young lady at the front desk was very kind and thoughtful. We received a small gift upon check-in and another upon check-out, which was a pleasant surprise. The only drawback was that the oxygen concentrator seemed a bit old and noisy. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay.
