May 3rd Sunny to sandstorm to rainstorm (Dunhuang weather: crazy mode)
At 5pm, I landed in Dunhuang with full of enthusiasm, and was hit by a sandstorm as soon as I left the airport (Dunhuang OS: welcome to hell). After putting my luggage at the hotel, I immediately entered the battle state - squatting for rehearsal! After arriving at the place~” I (on the surface): ”Okay, okay~). I stubbornly stood there and became the new landmark of Mingsha Mountain, but the result was... Sandstorm 2.0
Atour has always been a worry-free choice for travel ~ From entering the door to serving tea, check-in at the front desk, Miss Le Yan's enthusiastic guidance, and also sent souvenirs and fruits ~ Need supplementary supplies, and ~ on call is attentive everywhere. The room has no smell, clean and clean, and even the water stains on the sink are very clean. The mattress is moderately hard and soft, and the deep sleep experience is absolutely perfect. The toiletries are easy to use, the hot water is out in seconds, and the bathroom experience is superb. Zhuju Book Bar can borrow books for free, and it is super convenient to return books in different places. The service is sincere and not rigid, as intimate as a friend, come next time [naughty]

They checked me in at 7 AM, and the staff are incredibly kind.
The hotel is also very clean. I was so touched by the warm milk and a cup of honey water at night... Thank you everyone.

We booked a space-themed room, which was spacious with great natural light from the large windows. The space-themed dolls, tents, and children's items were a hit with the whole family, including an adorable Bduck children's toiletries set. The service was excellent; they were very considerate with breakfast, laundry, and parking. For example, if the children couldn't get up, they could bring breakfast to the room, and they would also help bring the laundry back to the room to hang it up. The hotel's location is also great; it's within walking distance of Jade Emperor Pavilion and Gulou Street Night Market. Highly recommend staying here!

The butler will contact guests a day in advance. The hotel is located inside the Tonghu Scenic Area, and the room rate includes admission tickets. This is the only hotel in the scenic area, so there are no outsiders. The hotel's front desk is at the main entrance of the Tonghu Grassland Scenic Area, with free parking. There's a 4x4 shuttle service within the area. The Starlight Restaurant is right next to the tent area, making dining convenient. It usually includes a buffet breakfast and a buffet hot pot dinner with good quality ingredients and a wide selection. There's a shuttle service to the bonfire party, which features a high-quality equestrian show, not just simple amateur entertainment. The rooms are tents. Our room type only had a password lock on the tent zipper, but since there are no outsiders in the park, it felt safe. Soundproofing isn't great because it's a warm tent. Each room type has a private bathroom and toilet, also in an attached tent form. Amenities are complete, including Crocs-style slippers and body lotion. The stand-up air conditioner heats and cools quickly, and there's also an oil-filled radiator for heating. It's hot during the day and cold at night, so you need to use both heating and cooling throughout the day. It's dry, so you can hang a wet towel. There are sand toys and sand sleds everywhere outside the room, and sand dunes right outside your tent, so you can play freely. Everything you could need is provided. If you stay for multiple nights, you'll need to drive quite a distance to visit other places during the day. Actually, one night and the next morning are sufficient. There are plenty of daytime activities, making it suitable for families with children. However, adults can use the daytime for excursions.

Traveling solo to Yinchuan for a business trip, I was pleasantly surprised by how great the value for money was at this hotel.
For around 200 yuan, I got a room that was about 30 square meters, complete with a separate desk, an en-suite bathroom, and even a smart toilet.
The hotel's location is also good, though there isn't much in terms of nightlife nearby. After 11 PM, most shops around here close down, so you'd have to take a taxi to find entertainment elsewhere.
Overall, the value for money is excellent, and I had a fantastic experience.

I chose the Meihai Yizhi Hotel purely for its location, and it turned out to be the best decision I made during my trip to Yinchuan. It's right next to Gulou Pedestrian Street, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and dining. It’s a three-minute walk directly to the main street, which is packed with local specialty foods, popular trendy shops, fashionable clothing, and cultural/creative products. If you want to try local snacks, you can find them right downstairs. In the evening, the Gulou night view is absolutely captivating, perfect for a stroll and taking photos. Being in the heart of the city center, the transportation is excellent; everything is close by, which lowers travel costs and saves a lot of sightseeing time.
The hotel's exterior is simple and attractive, and the interior boasts a light luxury design that feels very upscale. The lobby is bright and clean, with a refreshing fragrance – you can feel the high-quality accommodation experience as soon as you walk in. The front desk staff were warm, proactive, and friendly, checking me in efficiently. They even gave accurate recommendations for local eateries frequented by locals, helping me avoid tourist traps, which was very thoughtful. The room itself has an excellent overall feel, with a modern, minimalist design, sophisticated color scheme, and an appropriate size. The natural light and views are superb. The smart room control system is fantastic, allowing me to control the air conditioning, curtains, and lighting with my voice – a must-have for anyone who loves convenience. It's easy to use and very high-tech, enhancing the stay experience. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable; no dust, no hair, no strange odors. The bedding was white, soft, and comfortable against the skin. The room was regularly ventilated, keeping the air fresh. The sleeping experience was superb, with excellent sound insulation. Even though the pedestrian street downstairs was lively and bustling, the room remained quiet and peaceful. The mattress was soft and comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation, was spotlessly clean, had strong water pressure, and instant hot water. The toiletries were high-quality and pleasant to use. Housekeeping was punctual every day, with attention to detail, thorough trash removal, and full replenishment of supplies – attentive service without being intrusive. The breakfast was rich and varied, incorporating local specialty foods. The dishes were freshly prepared daily, authentic in flavor, and made with healthy ingredients. The dining area was clean and tidy. The hotel's facilities are comprehensive, with free parking, a self-service laundry, and luggage storage all provided free of charge, making the value for money exceptional. The location is irreplaceable, the service is thoughtful, the hardware is excellent, the hygiene is rigorous, and the value for money is outstanding – every aspect is perfected. You definitely won't regret staying here when you come to Yinchuan; I would rebook without hesitation.

GGuest UserAlthough the hotel is not particularly new, it has complete facilities and the surrounding environment is relatively good and quiet. The heating and air conditioning are sufficient, giving southerners a full sense of security. There are also many types of breakfast, and in order to avoid waste, they are very considerate and cut into small pieces. When breakfast is about to end, they will knock on the door of each room to ask if you have eaten breakfast. The service was very good and enthusiastic. The air conditioner was already on when I checked in. The lady at the front desk also helped to deliver the luggage to the room and explained the precautions very considerately.

GGuest UserLovely hotel near Wanda Jinfeng mall, surrounded by many pharmacies. The fruit shop downstairs called 小任果 is one of the best fruit chains in Yinchuan with a huge offering of fruits and yoghurt and nuts. We bought these to bring along for our day trips out of Yinchuan. Its nice to stay at Jingfeng district as its quieter than drum tower area.
The lobby has snacks, fruit and drinks all day for guests. Coffee was super !
We used the complimentary washer dryer which is a fabulous amenity.
We appreciated the free pickup at the airport which we arranged 1 day prior by telephone booking from Shanghai. The reception and the breakfast counter staff were all very friendly and helpful.
The toiletries were all upmarket
If there is any con - its the plump cleaning lady at the 3rd floor. She appeared unhappy when we asked her to top up the bath wash when it was low and she forgot to top up. She just handed us a bottle to install ourselves. She also didnt wipe the control panel for the room unlike her colleague who does it when she is on duty so we can see our finger prints still on the glass after housekeeping.
Small issue though. Cos everything else about the hotel was great

GGuest UserIt's worthy of being called Xipo. The service and the room are so good.
Taking advantage of the off-peak season, I came alone to experience the Yellow River Homestay. Each homestay has a different decoration style. I chose Xipo on the recommendation of my friend and was very satisfied. The facilities and services corresponding to this price are really worth it. The price of two nights in the off-season is equivalent to the price of a normal night. The hair dryer is Dyson, and the toiletries are all from the laboratory. There are also beer + drinks in the mini bar, freshly ground coffee, and freshly made bread (forgot to take a picture). The sea salt rolls are super delicious, and the scones are also good, not sweet at all, which suits my taste.
The whole homestay is very quiet, close to the Yellow River, and there are trails. If there are many people at night, you can drink, eat barbecue and watch the stars by the Yellow River.
The service of private butler Xiaoying is really excellent. She will contact the guests about three days before you check in and help arrange some matters, such as car pick-up, introduction of food, drink and entertainment nearby, food, drink and entertainment in Zhongwei, and travel photography needs. She will also recommend it. After check-in, she will also take meticulous care of the guests. She deserves 100 points. Such a niche place is highly recommended for family and couple travel. If you go to Zhongwei, you must stay at Huanghe Suji to experience the local traditional customs.
FfenegenAs a Huazhu Club member, I've been staying at Royalton hotels for business trips to Changchun and Wuhan for the past two months. When I arrived in Yinchuan, I booked this four-star hotel as usual, and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is centrally located in Yinchuan, right next to the city's most famous pedestrian street, making it convenient for shopping, dining, and hailing a taxi is easy, with no traffic jams. The rooms are very new, with incredibly cool air conditioning, a spacious shower, and a brand-new automatic toilet. Those accustomed to flush toilets at home will find this hotel incredibly comfortable. Ms. Su at the front desk was very proactive and helpful, even helping to upgrade my room. Xiaohai, the front desk assistant, was also very friendly and helpful. Overall, the Royalton hotel was a fantastic experience, and anyone visiting Yinchuan for business or pleasure should definitely give it a try.
GGuest UserThis stay exceeded our expectations! From the moment you step into the hotel lobby, the warm reception from the staff makes you feel very cordial, and the smiling service throughout the whole process makes you feel like Mia. The room design is simple and stylish, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and the sound insulation is first-class. It is especially satisfying to sleep until you wake up naturally! The bathroom has a good dry and wet separation, and the toiletries have a high-end scent. The hotel is in a very convenient location, with restaurants and convenience stores all around. The breakfast has a rich variety, and the freshly cooked local specialty noodles are impressive. The restaurant waiters will also ask about your needs attentively. Special thanks to the front desk for their thoughtful service. They proactively recommended tourist routes and even helped deliver the luggage to the room. The price-performance ratio is very high. I highly recommend it to friends who come for tourism or business trips. I will definitely come again next time!

JJiangmiyeyeI was looking for a hotel that would be comfortable for introverts – a place where I could relax, enjoy the scenery, people-watch, observe the wind, birds, and insects, with minimal interaction but genuine service, and quick responses when needed. serendipitously, I found it this time.
A few days before check-in, the housekeeper set up a WeChat group to inquire about our arrival method and dining reservations. After check-in, we received reminders and activity notifications. Before bed, we got a night reminder and the on-duty staff's phone number. Throughout, there was no unnecessary chatter or disturbance, and face-to-face interactions were warm and sincere.
Upon entering the manor, the May grapevines were still slowly growing, and all I saw was a vast expanse of loess. However, stepping into the lobby, the contrast was striking – an indoor tropical garden! Staghorn ferns, banana trees, vines, orchids, and other plants thrived beautifully; some banana trees even bore fruit. The restaurant on the second floor offered a panoramic view of the Helan Mountains, with the side profile of the Reclining Buddha clearly visible. If the weather was good, we could enjoy the sunset from the restaurant, watching the sun slowly disappear behind the mountains, painting the sky with brilliant hues.
While the accommodation already met my expectations, the restaurant's delicious food was truly a pleasant surprise. Perhaps it's my stereotype, but I've always felt that guesthouse restaurants tend to be a bit pricey and the food generally mediocre. Who would have thought that the dinner was so good that my family and I decided to book lunch for the next day before we even finished eating? For dinner, we ordered stewed lamb from Yanchi, scrambled eggs with sand onion, and 'tangmian youxiang' (half portion). For lunch the next day: 'chuanzui' carp, fragrant goji berry shoots, and lamb buns or dumplings? Oh, I forgot… The taste was on par with, or even surpassed, well-known old restaurants in the city. (Two dishes and one staple were more than enough for two people – I was stuffed! Order moderately, don't be as gluttonous as me!)
Finally, a big thank you to our housekeeper Niu Niu, store manager Li Yang, and the other staff members. Niu Niu was always enthusiastic and polite in all our interactions, always greeting us with a smile. Store manager Li Yang provided detailed explanations during the evening wine tasting, ensuring everyone felt included (even us in the corner, hahaha!). And to the other young people whose names I can't recall but whose brief encounters left an impression: the girl who led us on the cellar tour; the clear-eyed young man who diligently used a lint roller to pick up stray hairs in each room; and the curly-haired guy who effortlessly lifted our luggage when we got out of the car. Also, the sisters in the restaurant – every single person made me feel genuinely welcome, polite, and never intrusive. I'm already looking forward to my next visit with friends for a longer stay!
GGuest UserThe surrounding area is convenient for dining, there are two large supermarkets, it is close to the highway intersection, the facilities are a bit old, although it is a four-star hotel, it is obviously not worthy of the name, and the breakfast is also unsatisfactory
GGuest UserThe gentle breeze of early summer was so pleasant, I felt incredibly relaxed sitting indoors. The entire lobby is designed to be very open and airy, giving you a sense of peace the moment you walk in. What I was most satisfied with was the water pressure; showering felt like a relaxing massage. The bed linens were perfectly smooth and spotlessly clean. The staff were also very responsive to requests and handled issues very efficiently.
