The hotel is a little confusing to get into as far as parking wise. Amenities are fair. The room was clean. One drawback I can mention, is the hotel is located right on the train tracks. You can hear the train running all throughout the night. The train runs the horn so be prepared if you plan on staying here, to hear the train. A second drawback was the thermostat in the room. Yes the thermostat. Why? The one in our room literally illuminated the entire room. It was as bright as a blue fire. I am sure like many of us adults like to sleep in the dark. No this literally was shining so bright you could read a book by the light. I would recommend to dim them for the customers prior to entering the room. Oh we also had some noisemakers in our room next door. Had to call downstairs to let them know that it was time for rest. This hotel is located in a party town. So assuming you like to party, it would be good for you.

This hotel, good location, the service is also very good, the staff are smiling, the breakfast is considered good at a certain level, the only downside is that the room at the mattress and the bathroom has a small cockroach. Up to the bed as you can see, the hotel has a renewed, but some of them do not finish the room, there is an old part and there are cockroaches living in it.

Hotel was nice and clean. Staff was super friendly!! A++ Onlt drawback was that we paid extra for Oceanview and our room was in the side so we saw a SLIVER of the ocean from our balcony. Not ocean front at all. The pool was ice cold- but I suppose that’s to be expected this time of year. Overall would stay again but not play for oceanview.

I stayed here for 3 nights- Monday to Thursday. Feb 10-13th I was taking my nephew on a trip to Orlando, a little getaway to spoil him, on a small budget. I needed cheap, and I did my research. I’ll be honest, I read some of the reviews for Garnet Inn, and they weren’t all great. I can’t tell you about those peoples stay. But I can tell you about mine My stay here was fantastic. We had a great time, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I will stay here again, 100% A few things to note- it’s a cheap hotel. Is it fancy? No. Is it older? Yes. Was it clean? Absolutely The lobby is not impressive. It could be updated, the furniture looks a bit outdated, but was it clean? Yea it was! Was the price affordable? Yes it was! The room has everything I needed. 2 beds. Lots of pillows. A huge tv mounted on the wall. A fridge. A microwave. A bar of soap. A package of shampoo. Fresh clean towels and sheets. The room was clean. Floors were clean. Bathroom was clean. The mirror was spotless. I have zero complaints on cleanliness. I chose a pool view room. Which we loved. Let me tell you about the pool. It was very clean, and there is a kiddie pool and an adult pool. Both were great. The kiddie pool is 1 foot deep. Great for kids who can’t swim, or who just what to splash around. The adult pool is big, clean, has stairs, a railing and even a lift. The staff- everyone was super friendly to me. Check in was easy. Check out was easy. Life was simple here The breakfast- your getting the basics. Cereal, waffles, toast. Coffee and juice and milk. There was lots. It did not run out. It’s included in your stay, at that cheap of a price guess what? It’s sufficient Room cleaning- housekeeping came everyday. Made the bed. Cleaned the garbage and changed my towels. I didn’t have to ask. They just did it. The location- close to everything. 10 min drive to anywhere you want to go. There is a really good restaurant in the same parking lot, as well as a 7/11. There is a McDonald’s a 3 min walk down the street. To sum it up, could it be fancier? Sure. But if it was you wouldn’t be getting this cheap of a price. All my needs were met, it was comfortable, clean, and the staff are friendly. I will be staying here again, no doubt !

The hotel is good for the amount we are paying. We definitely would come again. Convenient to the beach

There’s just something about this place that makes it great! The staff is friendly and committed to making your stay as enjoyable as possible! The facility is will well kept, clean rooms, Nice lobby that is well decorated to there outdoor pool area. From fresh linens to there hot complimentary breakfast this place is a traveler’s paradise! I highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again, this level of comfort and customer service isn’t found very often and it’s one spot I will definitely look forward to returning to.! A special thanks to all the staff who work so hard to make this hotel what it is !!

I had read the reviews for this hotel on several websites before booking and decided to go with them because they were all good. This was my 60th birthday trip and when we got there this place looked just like their website. Beautiful Old style like you’ll never get to experience ever again. We got a room upgrade to room on the Water. Room #1. There’s nothing fancy about them, but I think that’s what adds to the charm of the hotel but everything in the room is nice, comfortable, clean and works. Patio leads right outside to the water where you can sit on your deck or walk along the pier and look at the boats, we had a boat docked in front of our room. I loved watching the people getting ready to go out. I joked and told them I was happy letting them borrow my boat for the day. We enjoyed our daily Pelican visitors who sat on the post every evening and we enjoyed the Rooster every morning when we sat outside enjoying our ice tea. The pool is very nice, I dipped my foot in and it was a little chilly. The beach area wasn’t much of a beach in my opinion. But it still adds to the charm. Lisa and Tammy were very nice and friendly and we had no problems checking in or any issues whatsoever with our stay. There is a food truck on site we ate at 1st night, because we drove all day and it was real foggy by the time we were going to leave to go eat in Marathon. I had the Crab pizza and Brian had the Ham pizza. $15.00 each and big for one person if your hungry. I didn’t eat all of mine. lol. But very good. The hotel just changed ownership and are doing upgrades and some renovations, so at times while we were there it was a little noisy but nothing we couldn’t deal with. We will definitely stay here again when we go back to the Keys. Because you’re not going to get this Old Style feel staying right on the water for much longer any where else especially for these prices. The booking was a bit tortuous, but the result was quite satisfactory. Since the day was Valentine's Day, the booking has been unsuccessful, but the customer service is very responsible, has been helping to communicate and coordinate, and finally successfully booked, and gave a room rate discount, thank you very much 🙏

2/12/26 In my experience, the customer service fell short of expectations and could benefit from noticeable improvement. A welcoming demeanor and simple courtesy—such as a genuine smile—can significantly enhance a guest’s experience. While I did not have particularly high expectations given the name “The Red Carpet Inn,” I still anticipated a reasonable standard of hospitality and upkeep. Unfortunately, the property did not fully meet those expectations. The overall odor within the facility was unpleasant and could certainly be addressed. Although the cleanliness was acceptable for an inn of this category, it lacked the freshness and attention to detail that would make guests feel comfortable. Aesthetically, the rooms appear outdated and in need of renovation. The addition of a few brightly colored furniture pieces seems to be an attempt to give the impression of recent remodeling; however, these accent pieces do little to disguise the overall condition of the space. The updates feel superficial rather than substantive—more cosmetic than structural. My wife and I only needed a place to rest for a few hours before catching a flight later that evening, and for that limited purpose it sufficed. However, I would not consider staying here for more than one night, and even that would be with hesitation. Additionally, the “closet” was not a true closet at all. It consisted merely of an exposed wall-mounted rod with no enclosure or doors, which further contributed to the unfinished and poorly designed feel of the room. Overall, while the property may serve as a very short-term stopover, there is significant room for improvement in customer service, atmosphere, and genuine modernization. Bright Spot would only be the Shuttle to the Airport that is included at checkout. This would be there saving grace.

Finding the hotel was super easy, excellent location for tourists. Upon check-in, I had some issues that complicated my arrival, especially after how tired I was. Apparently, it's the hotel's policy for residents to pay a $200 refundable deposit upon check-out. The problem wasn't knowing about the deposit, but that it had to be paid in cash only. This annoyed me a lot because I just wanted to get to my room and shower, but instead, I had to go out looking for an ATM. The room was clean and smelled pleasant, even though the sheets had cigarette burn marks everywhere 😂 The shower curtain was in pieces, too small, and all the water kept spilling out 🤦‍♀️ Aside from that, everything else was fine.
