Soheil MalekiI would have loved to have given this place 5/5 stars for everything but as soon as we arrived, the noise from outside was very loud, upon bringing it to the attention of the staff, they said they ”fixed the door” as it was a very large patio door but the sound was still as if we were camping outside. I managed to live with this but the rooms television was also boy possible to connect any outside devices and the Netflix just wouldn't launch which we were told it is what it is with the TV. The thing that annoyed me the most was the fact that you have to pay to use the swimming pool that they so elegantly advertise in their photos. As an extremely regular traveller, this was an absolute first for me and really didn't make any sense to me. Otherwise the place was clean, and looked very nice. Parking was 20 euros per night which was actually more expensive than hiring the car but I guess they charge for location.

JennyJennyJenny. The room is very nice and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's easy to walk to the city center. My husband and I are very satisfied with the Renaissance Porto Lapa Hotel.

Yi1111yiThe room was quite nice, and the mattress was very comfortable. The front desk staff were exceptionally welcoming, and the breakfast spread was impressive. The location is also great, with all the attractions within walking distance. Plus, parking right in front of the hotel is free on weekends. My only complaint is that the housekeeping staff entered my room without knocking while I was sleeping, which startled me. Imagine if I had just gotten out of the shower – that would have been incredibly awkward!

Urban VoyagerWe had a wonderful stay at Eurostars Aliados in Porto. While advertised as a 5-star hotel, it feels more like a high-end 4-star, mainly because it lacks some of the extra touches of luxury and service you’d expect from a top-tier 5-star experience. That said, it still offers great value for money and an excellent stay.
One of the hotel’s strongest points is its location—right in the heart of Porto, making it easy to explore the city on foot. Despite being so central, the room was quiet and well-insulated, allowing for a great night’s sleep.
Check-in was smooth and efficient, with friendly and professional staff who made us feel welcome right away. Throughout our stay, the staff remained courteous and helpful, ensuring a pleasant experience.
Our room was spacious, stylish, and very comfortable, featuring a king-sized bed, elegant decor, and a huge shower that added a touch of indulgence. Everything was spotlessly clean, which is always a priority when choosing a hotel.
The hotel has a spa with a gym, sauna, and hammam, free for guests. While we didn’t have time to use them, they looked modern, well-maintained, and inviting, adding to the hotel’s appeal.
Overall, Eurostars Aliados delivers a stylish and comfortable stay at a reasonable price. While it may not quite reach the level of a true 5-star experience, it’s an excellent option for those looking for a high-quality hotel in the center of Porto. We would definitely stay here again!

Anonymous UserThe hotel is located right by City Hall, with a metro station directly outside. It's just over 300 meters from Porto Sao Bento train station, and all the attractions in the Old Town are within walking distance. There are various restaurants nearby, making it incredibly convenient. All the hotel staff, from the front desk to the breakfast restaurant and housekeepers, were warm and proactive. The room was a bit small, though.

Great facilities. We went with half board. And it doesn't pay off. After knowing the prices, we would have paid less for dinner if we paid on the day.
We went on the weekend and the hotel was full. It's a large hotel and we didn't like the experience from that point of view.
The objective is to relax and have a different experience, but we ended up having to wait to enter the Turkish bath, sauna and swimming pools, which became unfeasible, as they looked like municipal swimming pools.
full of people. About the staff, the girls at the restaurant and at breakfast (who are the same) are very helpful and friendly. The same can no longer be said for the reception staff. Little willingness to help with such simple things, such as lending a mere phone charger, easily resolved by the dining room staff.
In short, it is a hotel with conditions, but I find it very confusing when it is full, something that I believe is common at the weekend.

Guest UserA hidden gem of Porto
We stayed here for four nights and felt very happy. This is five star boutique hotel with all the facilities and above all top class services to guests - we have been many five star hotels around world. The Italian owner has talents from interior designing to offering great customer experience with help from his charming and hard working daughter Flavia who was on site supervising /attending to guests everyday and was willing to go extra mile to help. All staff members are professional, attractive with nice smiles. Innes the restaurant manager (?) was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed fabulous breakfast and a wonderful dinner with innovative dishes created/cooked perfectly. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will recommend GA Palace and Spa (lovely spa experience showing high level of attention to detail).

The hotel front desk service was excellent; they even showed us to our room. The room itself was very spacious with two bathrooms, though the shower wasn't fully enclosed, so water tended to spill out. The room had an amazing view, overlooking Porto's most famous bridge. The hotel's rooftop bar also served great cocktails and had good food options.

Very clean and well maintained room.
Staff very friendly and polite.
Breakfast options very good, hot options were always hot too!
Wet areas need improvement - no loungers at indoor pool. Large beanbags for rooftop pool which are great for pure relaxation but not ideal for reading or sitting their with a book. The other chairs were also incredibly uncomfortable.
