5-Star Hotels in Chiba Prefecture, Japan

This was my second stay here, after a 7-year gap. This time, to avoid the hassle of switching hotels, I decided to stay for a full 9 days. First, the positives: 1. **Great Location & Easy Access**: It's right outside Shin-Urayasu Station on the JE line, directly accessible via a connecting skybridge. 2. **Convenient Amenities Nearby**: There's a large shopping mall close by with plenty of dining options, and a Lawson convenience store downstairs. 3. **Free Disney Shuttle**: They offer a complimentary shuttle service to Disneyland. 4. **Excellent Airport Bus Service**: The airport bus stop is conveniently located at the hotel entrance. We took the earliest bus at 5:10 AM to Haneda Airport and arrived in about 40 minutes. 5. **Kid-Friendly Feature**: There's a projector on the second-floor reception area that keeps younger children entertained, which my child really enjoyed. Now, for the downsides: 1. **Shift Towards Budget**: Compared to my stay in 2019, it feels like the hotel has adopted a more economical approach. Is this a post-pandemic consequence? Disposable amenities are self-service on the second floor, and their quality is quite mediocre. 2. **Surprising Housekeeping Policy**: Upon check-in, I was explicitly told that housekeeping would only be provided on two of my nine days (once every three days), with only towel changes on the other days. I thought I misheard and had to confirm it. Honestly, this is the first time I've encountered such a policy in all my domestic and international hotel stays. I can understand changing bed linens every few days, as I don't change them daily at home, but being told that actual cleaning services wouldn't be provided at all on certain days was a first. This wasn't the case in 2019, and there was no mention of this policy in the hotel information on Ctrip, which surprised me. After complaining to Ctrip, the issue was resolved, and daily cleaning was provided thereafter. If they're not going to clean, then they should reduce the room rate for those days. But the daily rate remained the same, so why wasn't my room being cleaned? 3. **Lack of Guest Hospitality**: My 9-day stay was to celebrate my child's 4th birthday. I emailed the hotel beforehand, hoping for a small cake, which most hotels in my home country readily provide. However, the hotel's reply only provided a link to an all-Japanese website for me to purchase and reserve one myself. A 9-day stay for a birthday, and that's all they offer? It really felt like the hotel has no guest courtesy policy. 4. **Subpar Room Cleanliness**: The room cleaning was generally poor. There was dust on the kettle and table. On the day I checked in, I even found a pink hair tie left by the previous guest in the light trough behind the headboard. Perhaps because I stayed here in '19, I had certain expectations. But times have changed, and it seems the hotel's operational policies have too. Guests should decide for themselves if it meets their needs.

We stayed here specifically for a few nights in Tokyo as Disney was part of our agenda. Overall I enjoyed this hotel - the location was great, very close (and covered) to the subway - less than 5 minutes. There are a couple of malls just next to the subway with lots of food options, supermarkets, Uniqlo etc. Great! Shuttle bus to Disneyland/sea was also one of the reasons we chose to stay here for the convenience to the parks and the service was great personally for us as we planned ahead - got to the bus stop (at DisneySEA) with some buffer to ensure we got a seat. However, there were no checks if you were a hotel guest for the service and guests from the adjacent hotel used the service which became very crowded, by the time it got to the DisneyLAND. For context this shuttle was only meant for Urayasu Brighton Hotel guests. The adjacent hotel had their own shuttle. Service here was great too - staff were very friendly unlike another hotel I stayed at in Ginza on the same trip. Rooms were refreshing for Tokyo as the room we were in was very spacious. It was clean also but did not offer complimentary water. Room also had a foot massager which I enjoyed. There was a Refa shower head and hair dryer. However just some “interesting” elements to this hotel. There are irons you can use - just call the front desk to use, but the catch is you only have 1 hour to use it. Must call the front desk to tell them to pick up. Didn’t want to chance going over an hour as I didn’t want to pay for this. Also, there was no door signs for this hotel - I.e do not disturb, please make room etc. House keeping entered and cleaned up the room which is opposed to their information they provided as it stated if you want house keeping to clean your room you needed to call the front desk by a certain time which we did not do. The house keeping was not detailed they put the extra pillows I used for MY bed on my sister’s bed. Also the bed runners which we took off and set to the side they put back on the bed and they put the extra pillows on it - which is simply gross as those runners are not clean. Bathrooms were spacious and clean also. But the marks on the sofa were very noticeable and kinda gross. Basic amenities were provided but could have been better. Overall would recommend.

My stay was fantastic! I spent 2 nights there, and the room facilities were great, as were the views both inside and outside the hotel. For breakfast, there were two options – Japanese or buffet – and both were delicious. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful too. I accidentally locked myself out of my room, forgetting my key card, and someone came to help within a minute. Plus, it's super close to Disneyland. It's only a 3-5 minute walk to the train station, and then just one stop to DisneySea and two stops to Disneyland Park. I'll definitely be staying here again next time!

Pros: 1. **Convenient Airport Commute**: Easily accessible from the airport by bus. Just buy a ticket on the 2nd floor of the airport and catch the bus on the 1st floor, which drops you directly at the hotel entrance. There's a Lawson convenience store a short walk to the left from the hotel exit, making shopping very convenient. 2. **Quiet Location & Spacious Rooms**: The hotel is situated in a quiet area, and the rooms are generously sized with comfortable bedding. There's a free shuttle bus service directly to Disneyland and Shin-Urayasu Station (where you'll find an Aeon supermarket with plenty of dining and shopping options – great for trips to central Tokyo). Getting around is easy, but do check the shuttle schedule. 3. **Excellent Service & Breakfast**: The hotel staff are friendly and efficient; check-in was quick, and their English proficiency made communication seamless. Breakfast offers a good variety of options at a reasonable price, though it can get busy, so it's best to go early. 4. **Well-Equipped Rooms**: The room facilities are good, with everything you need. The shower pressure is excellent, perfect for washing away the day's fatigue. Cons: 1. **Limited Nearby Shopping**: The closest shop is a Lawson, which is only good for daily essentials. The nearest major supermarket is quite a distance, at least a 30-minute walk (depending on your pace). 2. **Housekeeping Needs Improvement**: Room cleanliness could be better, especially in corners and on the top edges of furniture, where dust accumulation suggests it hasn't been wiped down in a while. Summary: Overall, it's a good place. The price is affordable, offering great value for money, and the room facilities are relatively new. Although the location is a bit out of the way, the free shuttle bus service makes it very convenient for getting to nearby attractions. Just remember to keep an eye on the shuttle schedule. I would definitely stay here again for future Disneyland trips. Highly recommended.

The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and we even received some complimentary snacks. Since it was my birthday trip, I emailed them beforehand and they left a heartwarming greeting card in the room! There's a Lawson convenience store and a Disney shop on the first floor, which was incredibly convenient. After a long day out, having a convenience store to refuel was essential, and it saved us from booking hotel breakfast – perfect for those who prioritize spending their budget on the hotel itself (save where you can, splurge where you want!). Getting to Bayside Station was also easy, and there's a shuttle bus available. The ocean view from the room was unbeatable. I'll definitely stay here again next time!

The room was really big, and the two double beds were spacious enough for a family of four. There's a small convenience store and a souvenir shop in the lobby, which is handy for last-minute purchases. The airport shuttle bus stop is right outside, but you need to scan a QR code to buy tickets in advance. The service desk is very helpful if you have any questions. Overall, a great hotel.

The hotel is huge, and the rooms have cute cartoon decor that kids will love. Opening the balcony door gives you a beautiful sea view, like spring blossoms. The service is incredibly thoughtful; all the Chinese staff we met were so friendly! They even provide complimentary facial cleanser and lotion. It's super close to the Disney train station, just across the street. There are also free arcade games in the lobby, we had a blast playing Super Mario!

My stay was absolutely delightful! The room was spacious, bright, and designed with a modern minimalist style that created a relaxing atmosphere. The bathroom amenities exceeded expectations-premium toiletries and even a Dyson hairdryer, a thoughtful touch that elevated the experience. The bedding was plush and comfortable, and cleanliness was impeccable-every corner was spotless. The location was ideal, especially convenient for early flights or late arrivals. Staff were warm and efficient during check-in. Overall, this hotel delivers excellent value, comfort, and convenience. Highly recommended!

Excellent location. Room view facing Tokyo Bay & Mt. Fuji was stunning. Extremely clean—-only oversight was trundle bed beneath main bed. Cover needed cleaning. But looked like it hadn’t been used in forever. Amazing shower & Japanese-style shower room. Great reading lights at bedside—-something relatively rare. Very comfortable stay. Hotel restaurant not vegan friendly, however. But overall location & price were great & I’d definitely stay again. Easy 20-minute walk to Tokyo Disneyland entrance OR frequent bus rides in the vintage looking RV to Maihama Station.

Booked the new connecting rooms. Huge hotel. Nearby Narita so it's good as a place for final night to reduce the stress of traveling from town to airport. We had 4 rooms. Some were dusty. And hairdryer even had dust covering it. Rooms came with humidifier and filter, but could not really filter out the dust. My niece had dust allergy which the hotel did help to come do a round of vacuuming to help us out. Since it's a huge hotel, walking the corridors to our rooms felt a bit eerie as it wasn't fully occupied.
