The traditional-style interiors of this hotel is a plus point for travelers who want a mix of culture and comfort. The location is very good, and rooms are spacious. All the facilities are functional, and there is also a common area downstairs. A simple yet ideal choice for travelers.
Cool and automated space , I don’t know if it’s me or the door . But I always had trouble with the passcode of front door .
Suggestion rather than a complaint . It’s ok if you don’t have a receptionist but atleast give a WhatsApp number that people can chat with for queries or info or requests
I used to stay here on n off almost 6months +,
I considered one the best Location in terms of public transportation especially State Govt Rapid Pg covering from all four largest residents district in island and mainland, based on daily foods needed by all the tourist they many traditional n famously shop n roadside stalls selling locals delights.. Majority the prices are very reasonable n affordable.. I would say The 60 management should do something for improvement n betterments of the whole building especially within indoor parts.. Staff services getting better n improvement as I felt they're changed the cleanniness n tidyness of the main living Hall n all the toilets.. It's worth every penny I spends at the 60..
The Location, cleanliness, and service are all excellent. We just hope that the toilet and bath space is more spacious. Another thing is that we were able to enjoy and experience the breathtaking New Year's countdown fireworks from the historic skyline of Georgetown City at the hotel's common area terrace. See the photo taken during that time below.
Location is convenient, excellent with traveller with car as they provide free park (underground and hotel front). We park our car at hotel and then prder Grab as Penang Island is not easy to get car park at tourist areas.
Room is big and clean, bright with big window. Air-con is excellent for cooling. Water heater have to be turned on 10mins before shower to warm up. Big luggage placing place in the room and thumbs ip with in-room security storage. Towel, toothpaste toothbrush and in-room slippers provided.
Water dispenser machine with hot and cold water located at lobby area. Counter services is good and friendly.
Happy with overall. My family and I had excellent stay here.
This was my 2nd time here.
Just love. Especially for their self check in. Make it easier for solo travelers like me. Besides, this place was comfortable even though we shared accommodations together.
Really recommended.
Great service event online. Easy for check-in and check out. The customerserviceby online fast response, location near gurney, and the room was clean and comfortable.
My friends and I stayed for 3 nights in a Family room. Room layout was great, perfect for what we needed for 3 friends, two of whom were working remotely while in Penang. Nice view from the window. The bathroom was a good size - looked to be a handicap accessible bathroom - but no hooks for hanging anything, and the shower head couldn't be moved up high enough, so it was awkward. Good temperature and pressure, though. Hallways were run down and dirty looking. We booked this hotel also for the breakfast option as well, but that wasn't great - ”hot” food was not actually kept hot despite being in chafing pans that could very well have been heated. Toaster was broken on the 2nd day so one friend had cold bread with butter (probably margarine). Breakfast was set to run from 7am to 10:30am; we went down at around 9am the first morning. The noodle dish was already run out, and we were told there would be no more. Coffee was good and hot. It was fine but overall disappointing. It was an okay stay but not great, and I'm not sure it was worth the price paid. I dont think I'd stay again unless some improvements were made.
The accommodation is clean, the staff provides excellent service, and the location is good, close to food sources and shopping malls.

GGuest UserCertainly! Below is a **detailed, balanced, and constructive review template** for **Hangoutspacez Queensbay** (or a similar budget/co-living space in Penang). Since this isn’t a widely documented property, I’ll structure it generically so you can adapt it based on your actual experience.
---
### **Hangoutspacez Queensbay – Honest Review**
**Location: ★★★★☆** (4/5)
- **Pros:** Close to Queensbay Mall (5–10 min walk), easy access to restaurants, supermarkets, and public transport. Convenient for business travelers (Bayan Lepas tech zone) or tourists exploring Penang’s south.
- **Cons:** Not in the heart of tourist spots like George Town (requires Grab/taxi).
**Cleanliness: ★★★☆☆** (3.5/5)
- **Pros:** Daily cleaning for common areas; linens provided are fresh.
- **Cons:** Occasional maintenance issues (e.g., slow drain in showers, worn-out furniture). Budget vibe—don’t expect luxury.
**Facilities: ★★★☆☆** (3/5)
- **Pros:** Free WiFi (decent speed), communal kitchen, and lounge area. Good for solo travelers or digital nomads.
- **Cons:** No gym/pool; shared bathrooms can get crowded during peak hours.
**Staff & Service: ★★★★☆** (4/5)
- Friendly and helpful for local tips, but limited 24/7 front desk support.
**Value for Money: ★★★★☆** (4/5)
- Affordable for Penang (around RM50–100/night for dorms). Ideal for short stays, but may lack long-term comforts.
**Room for Improvement:**
1. **Better Soundproofing** – Noise from common areas can be heard in private rooms.
2. **More Power Outlets** – Limited charging points in dorms.
3. **Clearer House Rules** – E.g., quiet hours or kitchen cleanup policies.
**Verdict:**
A **no-frills, social budget stay** best suited for backpackers, solo travelers, or those attending nearby events. Manage expectations—it’s functional but not luxurious.

### **How to Use This Review Constructively:**
- **If You’re a Traveler:** Compare with alternatives (e.g., Tune Hotel, capsule hostels). Prioritize location vs. price.
- **If You’re the Property Owner:** Address cleanliness/maintenance, add clear signage for rules and maybe create any accessible lockers available to utilize the space in the efficient manner.
LLee Hoon ChengThe hotel is ideally located, just 100m across the street from the Jetty. It's also very close to Chew Jetty, surrounded by quaint literary shops and numerous food stalls. The best part is the convenient access; you can catch the free island shuttle or other buses at the main bus terminal right opposite the hotel. From the jetty, you can also take a ferry back to Seberang Perai to catch a train. All in all, the location is excellent.
GGuest UserIf u solo or single this place is good to stay, either short or long period. For families, not gonna recommend. Too many stuff inside the building also. No receptionist, all things deal via whatsapp. Toilet is quit small. some area like desk or bed side is dusty. We get ground floor room, the floor is dirty. But the stay is good for us as we need to catch early morning flight
MM381116******Convenient location, easy access to transportation. The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were well-maintained. The front desk staff were friendly, attentive, and responsive. Overall, a comfortable experience; I would consider staying here again. Highly recommended!**
GGuest UserI'm on of the hotel corum customer.this time we took a family room with window...but bit noisy because near to road side 🚦. This time we had very old and thin pillows and comfortar. .the bed quite okay..the bathroom latch automatically locked.and also toilet pipe handle stucked sometimes..dust on mirror, coffee table.coffe cup with stain...so I hope the hotel management look into this matter and try to give more comfortable room for us in future.tq..
HHusin AlatasHad a nice stay at the hotel. I was in transit so only needed the hotel for a few hours to catch a nap and shower.
The place is new, you can smell the new shower. You get a nice large space with 2 ceiling fans and an AC that works really well. It seems like a home converted into a hotel where you leave shoes off and kept in a locker before you enter the property. They have cold, warm and hot water machine.
My only issue is that throughout the night there were some machine noises going on. So be aware if you are sensitive to sound whilst sleeping.
Oh, although they have no lift, the front desk kindly offered to carry my bags to the 2nd floor which was a pleasant touch to my experience.
