5-Star Hotels in Adjara, Georgia

We stayed at Sheraton Batumi Hotel expecting the standard of a global 5-star luxury chain. Unfortunately, while the location is beautiful, the overall experience fell far below expectations. The property’s location, right in front of the beach, is stunning. The views are lovely and the building itself looks impressive. Sadly, the service and operational quality did not match the pricing or brand promise. Here were the key concerns: 1. Language & Service Gaps For a luxury, premium-priced international hotel, it was surprising that several staff members struggled to understand basic English. This made even simple requests unnecessarily complicated. 2. Inedible Food on Day 1 On the day we checked in, we ordered a ciabatta pesto sandwich. The ciabatta was so hard it was impossible to chew. It literally sounded like knocking on wood. We had to remove and eat only the filling. This is basic food quality control that should not fail in a 5-star property. 3. Repeated WiFi Failures Within an hour of check-in, the WiFi stopped working. I had official calls to attend, yet even after 2–3 hours, the issue wasn’t resolved. The next day, the WiFi again went down for 2–3 hours. In a hospitality business today, reliable internet is non-negotiable. There also seemed to be no backup plan or proactive communication. 4. Shower Head Burst - No QC? The following morning, the shower head burst while in use, flooding the bathroom. My belongings got wet and it completely disrupted the morning. When a room is marked “ready,” basic quality checks should ensure fixtures are functional. 5. Breakfast Quality Below Standard The breakfast buffet was largely cold. Vegetarian options were extremely limited. Even the falafel was undercooked. The omelette was overly oily. At the very least, for a globally known chain, one Indian option or more diverse vegetarian choices would have been appreciated. 6. Room Service Delays Ordering water to the room took nearly an hour and required four calls. That level of delay for something so basic is difficult to justify. Overall, while the location is excellent, the service standards, food quality, maintenance checks, and responsiveness did not align with what one expects from a Sheraton property. For the price paid, this was not a luxury experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works on operational consistency, staff training, and basic quality control.

Отличное расположение, до любых достопримечательностей можно дойти за 5-15 мин, до моря -2-3 мин. Но это центр курортного района, поэтому любые магазины и кафе с высокими и оч высокими ценами. В номере нет заявленных 30 кв м , максимум 20. Комната оч маленькая. Есть хорошие шампунь, бальзам, гель для душа, лосьон, зубная щётка и паста, мыло. Уборка каждый день, смена полотенец тоже, постельное бельё не меняли ни разу. Самое печальное -это завтрак. Как бы шведский стол. Уровень 2 звезды максимум. Кофе заварен в термосе!!!!!)))) чай только черный и горячая вода только из термоса!!! Из еды варёные яйца, сосиски, омлет (или яичница), макароны, огурец, помидор, болгарский перец, лист салата, нарезка ветчины ( штук 10 ломтиков, и если они закончились, нужно ждать, когда принесут ещё, если захотят), сыр низкого качества. И всё! Если вы непривередливы, вам хватит, но это точно не уровень даже 4 звёзд!!! Отдельное спасибо ресепшн за бесплатное продление номера на 2 часа в связи с задержкой рейса! По итогу -всё хорошо, кроме завтрака, который они так рекламируют!!!

We had issues during check-in. We had booked a suite for a family of four – two adults and two children aged 7 and 12. Upon entering the room, we realized there were no beds for the children. The front desk promised to resolve the issue once, then twice, then three times, and by the fourth time, we had to get assertive. Eventually, sleeping arrangements were made for everyone, but it took us 7 hours of constant reminding. Overall, it's a great hotel with good breakfasts, a gym, and an indoor pool. The cleaning is good, and the staff is polite.

The hotel is located in the old town. The location is excellent!! The rooms are relatively large and clean, the breakfast is normal, but monotonous, nothing has changed for 3 days, and cappuccino coffee is available for an additional fee... The SPA and pool are terrible (I took the hotel only because of the SPA) VERY DISAPPOINTED!! The pool is small and the water is cold, stuffy and unpleasant!!! When we checked in, there were no towels, and when we asked they said only an hour later🤔 There were three of us and they brought everything for two!!! (towels, water, shampoo, slippers, etc.) In general, the impression was not pleasant, for that kind of money you could have rented something more decent... I will never recommend it to my friends!!!

Upon arriving in Georgia, the front desk staff were very friendly and upgraded me to a suite upon check-in. The hotel restaurant served delicious traditional Georgian dishes and local wines at reasonable prices, and the dining experience was comfortable.

It was very nice. It's clean and comfortable.

My wife and I stayed here from May 3rd to 8th, 2026. It's a good hotel with an excellent location. We had a room with a sea view, which was absolutely the best. The breakfasts were delicious. However, you have to specifically request toothbrushes, and sometimes they forget to bring them. Also, the exhaust fan downstairs makes a constant, loud humming noise.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast offered a good variety. Special thanks to Ms. Zehra at the front desk.

My husband booked this accommodation for my friend and me. On July 27, 2026, I checked into my standard room with a sea view. ATTENTION! Room 30-20. The absolute worst! First, there was a terrible smell from the sewage system! There was water on the bathroom floor! The toilet door wouldn't close because the door frame was swollen from the water! The toilet tank was leaking and wouldn't refill. The furniture in the room was cheap and outdated! The phone didn't work, so I couldn't contact reception to call an ambulance for my friend, who was feeling unwell! The TV didn't work. The room was dark because the balcony was cornered with dark glass, and there was only one small window to get some air; you couldn't breathe on the balcony. After 2 days, I decided to complain about all the shortcomings of this room, after which it was immediately changed to 31-08. This room finally matched the pictures on the website and my expectations. The room was bright, with working plumbing, furniture, and appliances. The balcony was open and spacious. The air conditioning worked, as did the TV. Why couldn't they have assigned me to a room that matched what I paid for initially? The service was disgusting! In the first few days, I asked for a drying rack for the room for 2 days! They promised but brought nothing! Also, a technician came to the first room to fix the phone but never actually fixed it. There can be queues for the elevator, and you might wait 10 minutes. The soundproofing in the rooms is also very poor. If you don't want to ruin your vacation, don't go to Batumi at all! And Courtyard is not the best place to stay in this city.

A great hotel located in the middle of Old Town Batumi. It’s very close to great bars and restaurants as well as the water front. The addition of Milton Brown products in the room was amazing, but breakfast could have been a bit better.
