This is a retro-style hotel that suits my taste. Very Kansai. The window view is beautiful, the room is nice. You can see deer from the balcony. Behind the hotel is a green hill, very chill to take pictures. The downside is that it is quite far from the train station, far from the bus station. But the view is nice and chill. The room has no mirror so you can't put on makeup or curl your hair.

Anonymous UserGood location, facilities and amenities. The room was a bit cramped for 2 people with 2 medium luggage, but if you travel light it was a nice hotel for short stays 👍

It’s an old hotel. The only bonus I felt was being able to enjoy a private bath session with onsen water. The morning shift customer service was nice.
You need to be extra careful with the washing machines. I accidentally inserted coins twice at the same time, but the machine only counted it as one wash. I asked the evening staff for help with a refund because I pressed the refund button, but the coins didn’t come out. Unfortunately, they couldn’t refund it, and I felt a bit sad… 😒
As a solo traveler, this hotel is a good choice if you’re on a budget and enjoy the old-style Japanese ryokan atmosphere.

This is an old ryokan with a history. Everything was smooth and beautiful, though we did not speak Japanese, nor the personnel speak our language, we were able to communicate and enjoy open air bath, traditional dinner and breakfast. The stuff is professional, warm and friendly. The area itself is famous for pilgrimage and views. Apart from soaking in a bath, one can walk around the village and visit numerous shrines and one magnificent huge temple, which is absolute must-see. Another delight is the beautiful view from the ryokan window. The same breathtaking feeling may have at the dining hall watching remote hills and the valley down the hill.
Very authentic experience of traditional Japanese relax holiday.
highly recommended!

I have been to Nara several times and I try a different hotel every time.
Having stayed here, I think I will stay here again when I come to Nara in the future.
As others said, there were deer outside the door in the morning, and the guy at the front desk spoke very good English.
As for parking service, you can rent it from the grocery store opposite

CrackpotbrainThe room was much larger than normal japanese hotel rooms. There were no bathrooms, so the only way to take a bath was at the onsen. The lady serving us gave some good suggestions for sakura spots, and service was overall pretty good.

Nice youth hostel, it is recommended to increase the front desk time and increase the bicycle service. Because there are only 4 car rental services in front of Tianli Station, it will not be available.

Overall, I was quite satisfied, meeting my expectations. The price was relatively reasonable, and the value for money was good.
The facilities were complete, with a bathroom and shared washing machine within the B&B. Although there was only one bathroom, I didn't have to worry about long waits. There was also a kitchen available, and the overall cleanliness was excellent. The nearest bus stop is 300 meters away, so transportation and the surrounding area are acceptable. The owner is Chinese and speaks Mandarin without any issues.
Room 201 was quite small, practically covered entirely with mattresses, and only accommodated a 28-inch suitcase, though the owner had explained in advance.
Note that there are few people nearby, and most of them are elderly, so please keep your voice down both on the way and in the room.

Located in a quiet quaint neighborhood. It was storming so I didn't get an opponent to enjoy the river and it's surrounding which the accommodation was just next to. But the spacious room came as a joy but unfortunately the beddings were not comfortable. Could feel the bed springs and the pillow overly soft. Wished that they provided tatami beddings instead.
Check in details were not provided via booking on trip.com but thankfully could easily contact the owner via WhatsApp. Overall still a great experience.
