2-Star Hotels in Anhui, China

It's a little far from Namdaemun, about ten minutes' drive, but the owner of the B&B is very nice, pick up and drop off. I arrived a day in advance and wanted to store my luggage up the mountain. I called and he immediately drove to move my luggage. It was very quick, so it's no problem if you don't drive yourself. The room is relatively new and clean, and there is a large terrace. Next to it is a small river with very clear water. The environment feels better than some hotels at the foot of the mountain. The breakfast is relatively simple, and you can add more if it's not enough. I just came back from climbing the mountain and I was not feeling well and wanted to eat something light. Overall, I still recommend it

Choosing this guesthouse for this trip was definitely the right decision! The owner's service was excellent. For both nights we stayed, there was daily pick-up and drop-off service, and they were always available whenever we needed them. The owner even accompanied us on our pilgrimage up the mountain, saving us a lot of time. The rooms were nice and clean, and they included free breakfast. There's also their own restaurant where we could order food, which was clean and hygienic. The auntie's cooking was delicious, so we didn't have to go out to find restaurants. The elders were very satisfied with this guesthouse; it didn't disappoint them. They all said they'd recommend it to their friends and that they would definitely choose this guesthouse if they ever come to Jiuhua Mountain. Highly recommended! The room facilities are complete, relatively new and easy to use; the room is clean and tidy, and the bedding is clean and hygienic with no odor; the hotel environment inside and outside is good, there is a dedicated parking lot in the backyard, there are many restaurants nearby, and it is close to attractions, Renmin Road, and Daobashi Street; the service is warm and thoughtful, and the introductions are thorough.

My stay in Tingquan Xiaoyuan has been absolutely delightful. I booked a long stay here as a retreat and break from the work and it is exactly everything I need to unwind and recharge. The guesthouse ran by a husband and wife team are so hospitable and go the extra mile to make sure my stay here is relaxing and I have everything I need to work and go about my day. The room i am staying in is very brightly lighted with a desk for me to work. I have to say the bed is also very comfortable and I have been sleeping well every night. The surrounding is so peaceful and tranquil, with gardens and flowers and mountain peaks in the distance. I am rather glad I am staying here in the valley instead of near the centre. In terms of service, the boss is very helpful and responsive to my messages when we need to ask any question or require a pick up after the hikes. The lady boss is similarly extremely friendly, warm and kind and ensure my needs and well being is looked after every day. She cared for me like her own family. I really appreciate them going the extra mile to help a foreigner like me who struggle with the language. I would strongly recommend this lovely and cosy guesthouse to any local and foreigner who is looking for an amazing visit to Huangshan for a few days or up to a month. They will ensure you are well taken care of and your stay is absolutely delightful.

Facilities: The hotel has everything you could possibly need. Cleanliness: The room was spotless, and the entire hotel is decorated with great style. Environment: The room decor has an industrial feel, and the lobby on the first floor is perfect for photos. They also offer cocktails, coffee, beer, music, booth seating, a reading nook... At night, it feels more like a rustic foreign pub. There's also an incredibly cute, chubby tabby cat that the owner adopted. During my stay, there were many foreign guests, and the owner and staff spoke excellent English, communicating entirely in English. The owner is very thoughtful; before my hike, he was worried I might scrape my hands and gave me two band-aids, which were a real lifesaver! Trekking poles were available for free use, and he even proactively lent me a flashlight for fear of it getting dark on the way down, and recommended restaurants popular with locals... Although I only stayed for 2 nights, the experience was fantastic, absolutely fantastic. Plus, the location is excellent! It's just a short walk to the transit center. After a hike, there's nothing better than being able to walk a few steps and be back at the hotel!

Very convenient location at Hefei Nan train station. But due to signage limitations in the station, took me awhile to find the exact location. My room is facing the expressway but noise is not an issue. Room is very big and cozy. Only thing is the toilet has some sewage issue. But not big problem as most of the time I will be out. Another advantage is that the hotel will help to collect your parcels on your behalf. But don’t order too early before your arrival.

A lovely opportunity to experience Chinese hospitality. I stayed with my cat and we felt very welcome. The owner is very attentive and looks well after his guests. It is good to know that the reception is in the 3rd floor. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable. A quiet area and house, just perfect if you need a good rest or travel with an anxious pet.

The accommodation has a free shuttle to/from the station, definitely a plus! It's only a 10 minute walk, but 10 minutes with heavy luggage is something you could miss. It’s a bit inconvenient that you have to call them to actually book the shuttle, because I don’t speak Mandarin and they don’t speak English, so a call would not be possible, but maybe that’s something that Trip could improve on. When I checked out, the lady told me (through a translation app) that she could drop me off at the station, which I was very happy about. When I checked in, I got a room upgrade as well. I was alone so I didn’t really need two beds, but the the huge room was very nice after all those bunk beds in hostels! They also offer a carpooling service to the ticket office/entrance of Huangshan for a good price! Just tell them the night before that you’d like to go to Huangshan and they will arrange a shuttle for you (mine was at 7 am in the morning and I just had to message them when I wanted to go back to the hotel in the evening). They can offer sightseeing tips, they can recommend you something to eat. Just ask and they will help you. Sometimes it was just a bit hard to communicate, the woman uses a translation app which works just fine, but the man doesn’t, he tries to explain everything in Mandarin by using gestures, writing it down in Mandarin … but then it’s obviously not easy to understand each other. That aside, they’re both so sweet and helpful. I would stay there again, if I ever come back! Side note, Trip does not give you the correct address of the hotel (in English). Whichever map app I used, it would send me to an open space in the street of the hotel. The hotel is actually located just a bit further next to a (very good!) restaurant, but just ask someone in the street and they will bring you to the reception of the hotel, if you can’t find it. 😉

First, the room was very clean, with excellent hygiene. Second, the owner's smiling face greeted my arrival the moment my friend and I arrived. From the time we went out to play until we checked out, he remained smiling, a truly welcoming experience. Third, the service was incredibly thoughtful. I drive a new energy electric vehicle, and when I went to look for a charging station that evening, the only one left was broken. Even though the owner's shop was still full of customers that evening, he still rode his electric scooter to find us. Fourth, the view from the window was much better than inside the scenic area. I personally prefer a wide-open view. The view from the owner's room was unparalleled. Excellent! Excellent! It was a fantastic experience. Thank you, everyone.

This hostel is perfectly located at the foot of Huangshan Mountain, making it super convenient for getting around and finding places to eat. The cleanliness is top-notch; the room was spotless and well-equipped, and the bed was so comfortable and quiet, I slept like a log. They even provide complimentary disposable towels and toiletries. The owner is amazing – so friendly and warm, just like a friend! They patiently answered all my questions, helped me plan my itinerary to avoid common tourist traps, and even recommended fantastic restaurants. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the value for money is outstanding. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit!
