We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. Very near the zermatt train station, just opposite of Macdonald’s. Breakfast had a good selection. Housekeeping would check in on you and offer free chocolates. The only feedback I have is the room didn’t provide English instructions on how to dial the concierge so I had to walk down to request for items.

I returned from four days and three nights at the Beausite Zermatt, and it was really wonderful. The staff was accommodating and made sure I had a wonderful stay. I was picked up at the train station and booked a junior suite with a great view of the Matterhorn. I loved my wooden soaking up in the bathroom (in addition to the oversized shower), and the bed was super comfy. I had plenty of time at the end of the day to enjoy the spa, outdoor pool, and sauna with views of Zermatt. The breakfast buffet was delicious, not to mention my meals, I had dinner at The Grill with friends who were also in town, and my last meal was at the charming Witch'eese fondue hut; it was just us three inside and super cozy. I look forward to coming back next time I am in town.

As soon as I got out of the train station, I took the gorgeous carriage of the hotel and walked through the town to receive the attention of the roadside people. Is there a feeling of traveling in the 19th century? ? ! When I arrived at the hotel, I was told that there was a surprise. I went into the room and knew that I had upgraded the suite with three terraces. The terrace was facing Matterhorn, thank you very much for the beautiful front desk staff. The solid wood furniture in the room is steady and elegant, the bath towels are all super thick, and they are very comfortable to use, and they are greatly praised! The breakfast environment is also intoxicating, bathed in the dawn of the Matterhorn, and the appetite is wide open. Three days of time for people to miss for a long time, I really admire the charm of the hotel and thank the staff for their kind service.

It is the best hotel in Switzerland in 8 days. The worst hotel I used to stay in before was 4 stars of 2800 yuan, basically all 5 stars. The facilities are new and the new hotel is more in my style. The service is in place, reflecting the high level of Swiss hotel service industry. The rooms are not large or small, just right, the toilets are a bit small, and the toiletries are a well-known British brand. Because the owner of the hotel loves whiskeys, there is a cabinet for whiskeys in the lobby. Whiskey in the room can be drunk for free, which is a waste for me who does not drink. The breakfast is not many, but it is very exquisite and you can eat it well. Self-driving is not allowed here, there are shuttle buses to the train station, you need to call in advance to book. Several attractions are close. The hotel swimming pool is also good, although not large, you can swim and watch the mountain view. I will definitely choose here next time. Price is also good.

We were here with Tauck Tours. There were 24 in our group and we all stayed across the way in condo's. We had 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, fireplace, 2 patio's. Everything was amazing. Fully stocked. We were here for two nights. Housekeeping was excellent. The only con, the shower stall was small. Huge bathroom small stall. The breakfasts were excellent, something for everyone buffet style. The dinner in their restaurant was 5 stars to die for. If staying in Zermatt, this is the place to stay! Beautiful bar are, sitting area as well.

This hotel is the best one in my 12-day trip in Switzerland. The details of the hotel are very good. The minibar in the room is free, there is beer bubble water, etc. The room is large and can be used for extra beds. There are some hot foods outside, which are included in the room rate. It is a very careful hotel. There are many things to send, chocolate, special drinks, sweets, etc. Many details can reflect that this is a high-powered hotel, although the hotel is Half-mountain, but it does not affect travel at all. There is a hotel bus transfer to and from the train station, and the hotel has a direct elevator to the foot of the mountain. The elevator is the entrance to the rothorn, very good!

The hotel is clean and the breakfast is delicious. It was nice to see the Matterhorn right from the room. The spa facilities are good, so it's good to warm up after trekking. The staff aren't unfriendly, they're not friendly, but they do everything if you ask for it. I like the spa, so I want to come again with my parents next time. Have a good rest for 3 nights.

We arrived in Zermatt on Christmas day with three rooms reserved. We walked from the train station and were ahead of check in time, but two rooms were available already. After a fantastic lunch across the street we all settled in. Hotel Testa Grigia was the perfect place for me and my adult children. There is a great breakfast including meats and cheeses, yogurt, croissants cereal etc. They don't have a restaurant for lunch or dinner or a bar, but being in the center of town we were able to experience a variety of places in Zermatt by walking. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Always willing to help in any way. There is a ski storage room and a rental place right next door. We were there for New Year's Eve and all rooms got a bottle of champagne and glasses. We had to leave early in the morning for the train back to Zurich and the hotel provided full meal bags for breakfast for all of us the night before we left. I left my eyeglasses in the room and the hotel is mailing them back to me! This is not a fancy hotel with all the amenities, but with large spacious rooms with balconies, very nice modern bathrooms and beautiful views of the mountains I couldn't have been happier with our stay at Hotel Testa Grigia.

In addition to the location and facility, the staff were AWESOME. We found ourselves without a room IN Zermatt (through a reservation mistake at another hotel) and Patricia was able to locate a room that was not going to be used for our nights there due to a real-time cancelation just as we walked in. She worked diligently to secure the room for us. The rest of the staff were also extremely helpful regarding some special needs we had. The included breakfast was delicious and Alpine samplings everywhere. We dined in the restaurant in the hotel and the selections were delicious, and the service very good. Great building with character that is close to everything, but most of all the people made us feel at home, far from south Alabama. If we get the opportunity to return to Zermatt, we'll most definitely be staying here again.

Great hotel Don’t expect luxury but given the price point you know this already The rooms are small but functional with everything you need for your stay including a great coffee machine that’s topped up daily. Breakfast is well beyond what I was expecting and had cereals, meats, yoghurts, breads, cheeses, sausages, eggs and probably much more! Plus more really good coffee! Located 5 minutes walk to Bayard ski rental, and an additional 1 minute to the Gornergrat railway taking you up onto the slopes From the hotel, you can be on the train in under 10 minutes. Staff are really helpful and allowed us to keep our bags there on the last day even though we’d checked out. There’s a quick lift to all floors. I would highly recommend the hotel if your plans are to ski all day, go out on an evening and use it as a place to sleep. Would certainly return

This hotel is an easy 5 minute walk to the train station. Check-in was welcoming and the room was fine. It is spacious enough with plenty of closet space. Comfortable bed, good shower and bathroom amenities. We liked having a little fridge and Nespresso type coffee maker. Breakfast was excellent with many hot and cold options. I ate much too much! In the afternoon they offer coffee and homemade cake in the lobby. An English language chanel on the room TV would have been nice. The hotel has a pool and a sauna which we did not have a chance to use.

During 2 nights we stayed at the Hotel Ambassador. The hotel is centrally located - a few steps from the train station. Ideal ! Makes a good, maintained impression from outside. The room is very beautiful and consistently furnished. The mattresses are very comfortable and comfortable. Here everything has been fit. Breakfast buffet was rich. Something in this regard for every taste....The staff was aware and emigrant - but something overburdened with cleaning, discovering, filling up buffet and giving information. Fairly, you must say that people were also somewhat untolerant. The Wermut Tropps when checking in: nice reception - official language English ! No word German. I personally find this a tribute to people who may not understand and express themselves so well with the English language. Zermatt International goes or goes. In the many shops, restaurants and shops in the village, it is best working with German and/or dialect. I am Swiss and I want to understand myself as Swiss in Switzerland as well...

Very satisfied with a hotel, only: 1. Since it is in the middle of interlaken west and interlaken ost stations, you have to travel a long way to see the hotel first 2. The church is isolated, it will ring at night and in the morning, and the sound is recognized 🥺 3. There is no air-conditioning in the room, so it is a little bit hot. Pleasantly surprised by how big the room was! A rarity in Switzerland for sure. Modern furnishings a plus! Lovely surprise balcony with a sideways view of the town, nice to sit outside to unwind at the end of the long day. Bathroom was rather lacking in character compared to the room and bath tub/screen was quite inconvenient. But basic amenities are there, two sinks + separate WC were appreciated. Breakfast was average, adequate but not great spread. No swimming pool, bare gym, uninspiring suana area for a 4* hotel so manage your expectations accordingly. Location very close to train station (5 mins), off a quiet corner, complimentary luggage shuttle would be nice instead of charging CHF12 for what is literally a 1 minute ride in a buggy.

We found the hotel to fit our needs. It was quiet, located off the central Zermatt area. This meant that to get to and from the shops you needed to walk for 10-15 minutes (not bad, but still tiring after a day on the slopes). As other reviews noted, it is closer to the Matterhorn Paradise Express Gondola station than to the Sunnegga Bottom Station. Would have wished the hotel offers transfer from the train station at no charge (rather than charging per person), especially due to to their still high prices. The room was spartan with no kettle, cups or glasses. You could pick them from a table on the first floor, but could not understand why they would not simply be placed in the room. Also, no coffee or tea packets. The room was very clean though and the beds soft and comfortable. We appreciated the high quality sheets, blankets, and pillows. Surprisingly, you cannot take a shower at night (at least that was what was written in the room). The curtains were great, blocking all light. Our room had a balcony with a view of the mountains and through some trees could even see even the tip of the Matterhorn!

Getting a room in Zermatt during the peak winter season is quite challenging without committing to a certain minimum number of room nights. We were fortunate to book a room at Hotel Derby for one night, which fits our tight travel schedule. Several things we loved about this hotel: 1. The location - It is easily accessible on foot and situated along a busy street, only a minute's walk from Zermatt train station. 2. The guest rooms - They are recently renovated and beautifully furnished. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the peak of Matterhorn. Unfortunately, it was too cold in December that we didn't get to enjoy ourselves or stay out for long. 3. The breakfast - A wide selection of continental breakfast and it is included in the room rate. Even though it was a short stay for us, on the whole, the staff is amiable, and we highly recommend it.

I was very happy with interlaken youth hostel and decided to book zermatt youth hostel. Free Good Breakfast, although a toaster would have been nice but they have good coffee machine and good collections of tea bags. Clean property and good view of Matterhorn from dining area! The property did not mention that the bus do not go anymore to 'luchre' stoppage. The property is quite high up in the mountain. The bus left me a place way below to the stoppage. so it was very hard to take luggage up to the property. Also, the distance between Luchre bus stop and the property is also bit long. considering the steepness. Second thing, the property does not have lift! It was really really hard to go up to 3rd floor with luggage. For me, a kind romanian staff helped me to take the suitcase to the 3rd floor. I also find the room (most probably 138 or 134) that I had been given at the very last corner of the corridor, which is fine. but opposite to that room, there is another property whose bedroom or lounge room facing my room, The room does not have curtain. it was very uncomfortable. Interlaken youth hostel has the curtain. not all the room needs curtain, but some room facing other properties, I strongly recommend this small addition. when I mentioned that to the lady, she said, go to a hotel, this is hostel. I replied, Interlaken has curtain. she did not reply. while leaving, the lady staff was very rude and said no one can help you to get the suitcase down. One gentleman was kind and helped me. This property is good. unfortunately, it is not possible perhaps to add lift or change location. but they can add curtain for sure.

The layout of the room for 4 people is reasonable, clean and quiet, and the breakfast is quite rich. The hotel is located in the upper part of the town, a little far from the train station and closer to the cable car. The small bridge in front of the door is especially suitable for taking pictures of the Matterhorn, which is a favorite place for many photographers. If you are lucky, catching up with the room facing Hongfeng is even more perfect!

Very recommended, the room for 3 people, the room size is a room, a hall, a sofa bed in the hall, a balcony, the balcony is not facing the Matterhorn. This is an ”average” hotel per Zermatt standards. This is not a pejorative statement. Just realistic considering the price of hotels in Zermatt. The location is perfect. Overall we had an excellent stay. Very friendly welcome, nice large room with a clean bathroom a bit small. However, we were supposed to have a mountain view on our reservation and we did not. Breakfast was a buffet style which offer could be improved. We had one dinner at the restaurant and it was good. The waitress Christina was very friendly. Beds were very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel for visitors who want to be well treated and not spend a fortune in 4 stars hotels.

We were not residents, merely walk in customers to the restaurant (like most). Although we didn't know it, we had a trainee serve us, who didn't give us the full wine list, didn't advise us that certain meals take longer to cook etc. So, after no lunch and feeling very hungry, we had to wait nearly an hour - and only after several complaints - received any food. We did not realise that a starter salad was included in the price and was not served to us. It wasn't cheap yet the portions were not large and after more complaints was implied that it was OUR fault as we had not asked for any detail about the meal (we are used to wait staff supplying the information). I would suggest avoiding this restaurant - there are many more in Zermatt - and which would offer a much better customer service. We ended up with large bill, not full stomachs and a regrettable and sad evening and experience. Go somewhere else.

This hotel is too fond of it! The decoration of the hotel is very beautiful and the room can see the snowy mountains! The service staff was very good at night. It was like waiting for us to call out my name. I also prepared wine and tea as a welcome drink. My friends and I visited Zermatt for the first time ever, in October 2023. We took 2 mountain-view rooms and were extremely glad that we did! After we arrived at the Zermatt train station, we decided to walk to the hotel on our own because the weather was beautiful, warm and sunny. Guests can opt for transport by an electric vehicle, which costs CHF15 per person, from the train station directly to the hotel. We arrived at the hotel after 10 minutes, walking to this hotel isn't too difficult, as long as your luggage has wheels. The roads are well-paved, you just need to watch out for cyclists and the electric vehicles speeding around the town. This hotel requires guests to check-in on their website, they send you a link via email, a few days prior to your visit here, so you that you can do a pre check-in even before you arrive. I didn't do that, so I did my check-in on the spot in front of the reception counter and was guided step-by-step by the friendly staff. Our rooms were ready, it was around 1pm. The rooms are very clean, has all the amenities of a 4-star hotel, including bathrobes and bedroom slippers, digital safe, hairdryer, coffee machine and basic toiletries. This hotel has a pillow menu, I went to the front desk to get a memory foam latex pillow for myself because I found the down pillows too soft. The room temperature was very comfortable, the rooms are heated by a central heating system, which is controlled by the hotel staff. There are no individual thermostats in the rooms. Our room balconies had unobstructed views of the Matterhorn mountain, the most recognisable mountain in Europe. This was worth every extra penny that we paid for the mountain-view rooms! IMPORTANT NOTE: Not every hotel room in any hotel in Zermatt has unobstructed views of the Matterhorn. If you are a first-time visitor to Zermatt, I recommend that you spend the extra money and get yourself a mountain-view room. This hotel is located away from the main street of Zermatt town, therefore it is very quiet and serene. At the same time, it is within walking distance to the main street, the GornergratBahn railway station, the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise gondola station, to the Matterhorn Museum, and to several excellent restaurants in Zermatt. You can ask the front desk staff for a walking map of Zermatt when you check into this hotel, I asked Christina for advise and restaurant recommendations, and she was most helpful. She gave me 2 maps of Zermatt, one map shows the tourists attractions and the other shows the restaurants. My friends and I dined at the Spycher restaurant, which is connected to this hotel, they serve AMAZING flambe beef and lamb! Our rooms included complimentary breakfast and it was good but not spectacular. You can have pancakes, omelettes and sunny-side eggs cooked to order.
