Alpenblick Superior
"Nice hotel"
Hotel Butterfly
"Location is very close to the shuttle train station and Gornergrat bahn. Pretty much everything is around hotel like market, shopping, restaurants etc. The staff are very friendly and breakfast was good."
Zermatt Youth Hostel
"Highly recommend this hostel for solo travelers! Everything was perfect. The location is excellent, making it super easy to explore Zermatt. The entire place was spotless, and the facilities were top-notch. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely stay here again!"
Hotel Ambiance
"Overall good hotel in Zermatt."
Hotel Alpina
"The room was very clean, and the staff were incredibly helpful, making our stay very comfortable. I even thanked them in German when we left, which they seemed to appreciate, and that made me happy too."
Hotel Ambassador Zermatt
"The suite was spacious and the environment was excellent. This was my favorite hotel on my European trip. You could even see a bit of the Matterhorn from the balcony."
3100 Kulmhotel Gornergrat
"We were rather put off going into our room as it had a bad smell to it and the bathroom in particular and surmised because of this, that something wasn't clean perhaps the carpet or drains to the toilet. On the other hand the staff that served us for the evening meal and breakfast were polite and humorous and looked after us well so we cannot complain on this. We are happy to help you with the survey but don't want our names published please!."
Patricia Self-Check-in Apartments & Spa Access at Alpen Resort
"A bit far away from the Zermatt train station. But nice view of Matterhorn."
Hotel Alphubel
"Staff was kind and friendly. Managed to booked in earlier at 12. Breakfast was provided for and we were impressed with the room/balcony views."
Choose the Perfect Zermatt Stay for Your Travel Needs
The Omnia
"The hotel room has a direct view of the Matterhorn. After arriving in Zermatt, you can contact the hotel to pick you up at the train station. Otherwise, it is difficult to find the hotel entrance. It is a small alley and then a cave. The room is large and comfortable. It would be nice if I could stay in the town for a few more days."
Mont Cervin Palace
"Just a short walk from Zermatt train station. Great view of the mountains. Nice indoor pool, spa, foot bath including steam and sauna (nude) facilities. Drop off to train station with its own “taxi” service. Highly recommended!"
Grand Hotel Zermatterhof
"Very bad stay experience. I brought a child to stay with me. I forgot to write the child's name when booking the room. The child was only 9 years old. I was told that I had to pay 140 francs, but the room was still my original room type. I really couldn't understand it. Besides, the child was so young. If it was charged for an adult, I could understand. It was a very unpleasant stay. A child under 12 years old lived with his mother. They told me that there was an extra person and they had to charge an extra person. And 140 francs, a child, are you kidding? It was too bad."
La Vue Luxury Living Apartments
"Excellent service provided and will come back to this hotel"
La Perle Apartments
"The apartment is close to supermarket and train station. Room size is big and kitchen wares are provided. But bed is small and too soft. It cannot support the body well and there is risk of falling off."
Schloss Zermatt - CBD & Adaptogenic Spa and Sport Hotel
"The cottage we stayed in near the station was also lovely! 🤍✨ I'd definitely like to stay there again if I visit Switzerland again!"
Schweizerhof Zermatt - a Small Luxury Hotel
"Most of the staff, from reception, house keeping and breakfast team were super professional and very friendly. The rooms are spacious and the location is great. The spa is beautiful. However I’m giving a low rating for this hotel because of the following reasons: There was one middle aged staff with a white beard and salt and pepper hair at reception who was extremely rude and disrespectful in both tone and attitude. All I did was approach him with a walking stick which is in the guest rooms to ask if it is available for sale. But before I even asked the question, he saw me holding the stick and abruptly and using an accusing tone said I cannot take it out of the hotel and must immediate return it to the room. I immediately said I am going back to my room to return the stick. I was very offended and very much belittled by the way the hostile way he spoke to me. He needs retraining or needs to be retired. I emailed management regarding the above incident and their reply is basically ignorance of the matter. There is no sign or any indication in the room that it cannot be taken out of the room. So the above complaint is mostly directed towards hotel management, which I hope will investigate this matter further. What causes this man to be hostile towards random guests. This caused me to spiral into a depression that lasted several days. Sometimes a single stray and unprofessional staff member can skew and ruin the whole stay experience and perception of a hotel. Breakfast was a disaster with hoards of tourist groups clamoring around making the atmosphere chaotic and noisy. The food was average quality. This is every day. We stayed in the family room. There is a construction site right outside our room that starts early 7am in the morning and goes well into the late afternoon. Jackhammers and drills cause vibrations and noise that can be felt and heard in the room, even with the double glazed windows. This was not communicated to us prior to checking or booking process. The air around the hotel is also really really dusty from all the construction. Far from the quiet idyllic Zermatt imagined. The pillows and duvet were also not comfortable. As part of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World hotel, there seems to lack any luxury by conventional standards. I will be staying away from this hotel."
Hotel Eden Wellness
"Outstanding customer service! We stayed at the Eden during the April 2025 snowstorm when Zermatt was cutoff from the World. Tamara and her team went out of their way to make sure we were fine, were fed, were fully informed and all the time with a smile and patience. Such a dedicated team. Exceptional"
La Couronne Hotel & Spa
"The huge Matterhorn seemed just outside my balcony room. The iconic view changed form before sunrise to after sunset. The restaurant served good meals with nice staff. The front desk is also helpful and saved our time to plan our stay in Zermatt."
Zermatt Budget Rooms
"This hotel in Zermatt was definitely a surprise during the trip. The three of us made a reservation in early October. Because prices in Switzerland are relatively high, we originally booked an underground triple room. Unexpectedly, the front desk upgraded our room to the second floor! Not only is the view very good, the balcony has a direct view of the Matterhorn (I didn't see it that day due to weather, but I saw it after check-out the next day), and the sofa bed has been rolled out and tidied up, and the service is in place. It's less than ten minutes' walk from the town, and there are supermarkets along the way for supplies. Breakfast was plentiful and everything was great! There are hot springs both outdoors and indoors, and you often see people taking a bath. Each room in the hotel provides hot spring supplies. It is recommended to stay here and try to choose a regular-priced room, because the view is really a plus and leaves a lifetime of wonderful memories."
Arca Aparthotel & Spa
"Perfect!"
Hotel Beau Rivage
"When booking a room with a "north view," be aware that the view is actually of a cemetery. If you choose the hotel, request a Matterhorn view. The hotel is well located, but it's very basic. It's by no means a 4-star hotel! Positive points: location; shuttle from the train station; friendliness of the receptionist and the breakfast staff. Negative points: very small room with a cemetery view (north view); very poor breakfast with few options."
Hotel Romantica
"Staying at this hotel in Zermatt was an unforgettable experience! The location is perfect—just 500 meters from the train station, making it incredibly convenient. The highlight of my stay was the warm hospitality from the owners, Thor and Michele. They personally served the buffet breakfast every morning, which was both delicious and thoughtfully prepared. On my first day, I unfortunately missed breakfast, but as I was heading out around 10:45 am, they surprised me by reserving some food for me to enjoy before leaving. It was such a thoughtful and touching gesture that truly made me feel cared for. The room itself was immaculate and had everything I needed. The balcony offered a stunning mountain view, which was a perfect way to start and end each day. Thor and Michele went above and beyond to make me feel like a VIP throughout my stay. They remembered my name, attended to every need, and even took the time to explain the local attractions and recommend food options based on my preferences. I feel incredibly lucky to have secured two nights at this gem of a hotel, especially since it’s almost always fully booked. This was one of the most personal and heartwarming stays I’ve ever had. If you’re visiting Zermatt, staying here is an absolute must. Thank you, Thor and Michele, for making my trip so memorable!"
Hotel Tannenhof
"The hotel facilities are complete, clean, and modern. It's within walking distance of the train station and in the town center. The front desk staff are friendly and very helpful with travel information and recommendations. Highly recommended."
Beausite Zermatt
"Our stay at Beausite Zermatt was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making us feel looked after throughout our visit. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, combining classic Swiss charm with modern comfort. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and offered breathtaking views of the Matterhorn — truly unforgettable. The wellness area was a highlight, especially after a day exploring Zermatt, with excellent spa facilities that were both relaxing and well organised. Breakfast was generous and high quality, with a wide selection to suit all tastes, and the dining experience overall was refined yet comfortable. The location is also ideal — peaceful, yet within easy walking distance of the village and transport. Beasite Zermatt delivers luxury without feeling pretentious, paired with genuine hospitality. We would not hesitate to return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Zermatt."
Hotel Sarazena
"They spoke to me in easy-to-understand English. Although I only stayed one night, it was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast had a wide variety of options, and I ended up eating a lot. Thank you so much!"
