Staff were wonderful. They held my luggage as I was very early for check-in and communicated via a handheld translator. The room was very nice and spacious with an absolutely gorgeous view to the city and surrounding areas. The private hot spring tubby on the deck was also wonderful as you do get the scene to the city and providing a wonderful ambiance. The food provided was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Now the caveat is the hotel is on a hill and unless you have transportation like a rental car or taxi, getting up there is a hike and more so with luggage. The staff also provided me with a shuttle to Itō station and some snacks to my next location. Oh and the wonderful picture they took and framed for me was also so thoughtful

Take a taxi from the Ito JR taxi station to the ryokan, do not have to pay the fare, the hotel will handle, the drop-off staff will come to check-in a pair of your names, if correct will handle your fare for this journey.
After getting off the bus, the staff pushed our luggage into the hotel and greeted us to check in. The person who explained the process and details to us checked in was a very beautiful staff who clearly explained the hotel facilities, meal times and places.
After check in you can first go to the lobby location to get a yukata, in addition yukata and hotel clothes in the room plus slippers can be worn at will within the hotel premises.
Once you get to the room, the door is very large, is super large, and there is a private bath can slowly soak, the hotel has a interesting thing is you can design your own slippers, because afraid of people to the public bath will forget their slippers, so there is a black marker for you to design slippers.
After walking around the hotel premises, taking pictures, then back to the room to soak in the hot spring, at night to the restaurant to enjoy a delicious dinner, the service staff asked us to communicate in English or Japanese, we said English, he then tried to explain in English all the ingredients for dinner, how to eat and so on.
Dinner was really full and satisfied, after dinner back to the room to rest, then made an appointment for a private bath, after the soak was very comfortable.
It was a really comfortable rest that night, a really good night’s rest.
Morning to the restaurant breakfast, another very satisfying meal, after the meal rest for a while and soak in the hot spring, then check out at 12:00, the hotel will ask you if you need a taxi to JR station, he will help you call a taxi, delivered to JR station is free.
Overall, this hotel is very comfortable, quiet, 14:00 check in can stay until the next day at the latest 12:00 check out, can stay more time in the hotel to soak in the hot spring and rest, and the hotel provides skincare is very useful, and after the hot spring in the room like that Cider is particularly good to drink, really spent a very satisfying journey.

The seafood sashimi was a little small, but the meal was satisfactory.
The stairs from the parking lot to the front room were tight for me with bad knees.

I visited with my family, and I took my 89-year-old mother, who was a little disabled, but I contacted her in advance, so it was raining in a wheelchair, so it was very helpful to have a covered parking space.
Not only the hot springs, but also the food was diverse, and my mother, who was always thin, was surprised to eat a lot. It was very helpful to have a meal seat near the doorway.
Repeat confirmed.

It was good in a very clean and beautiful room.
Breakfast and dinner are delicious, and it is recommended to put it on rather than staying overnight.
Please note that there are no convenience stores or shops around because the surrounding area is a villa. However, I am satisfied with the scenery and the richness of nature!

Rina_KliuchnikDog-friendly, and that's probably the most important characteristic.
I've seen reviews from dog owners who weren't happy with something here and there. Hello, you can relax with your pet for a very reasonable price!
Although if you want royal service, then yes, you need a different hotel. It's about 10 times more expensive.
This one is quite basic. The exterior is worse than the interior. The hotel is several buildings connected by various passages, and in some places the exterior walls look a bit rundown, to put it mildly. But inside, it's clearly been completely renovated. All the walls are covered in drawings of dogs, which I was constantly captivated by. There are various public areas where you can sit, read, walk, and play with your dogs. Of course, there are hot springs. Not up to the standard of elite onsen, but an excellent plunge pool (there's a mini pool with cold water), clean changing rooms with everything you need (bring your own towels from your room), and yukatas at reception. I only met a couple of women there, so I relaxed perfectly without any hassle.
The room is larger than standard economy rooms, with space for a pet. And there are plenty of essentials like bowls, diapers, and brushes.
There's a kitchenette in the room. A balcony. A standard bathroom in the room.
The location is good if you're driving. Volcan Omuro is nearby (a 30-minute walk) and the capybara zoo, or you can walk down to the coast. There are buses, but they don't run very frequently and stop about a 7-10-minute walk from the hotel. There are few pedestrian areas here; you walk along the road. And the constant changes in elevation are quite a workout. I'm a fan of hiking and exercise, so I wasn't particularly bothered by these walks, and even then, walking alongside the road with cars wasn't exactly a joy.
But if you have your own transportation, this is an ideal option. It's quiet and peaceful, with soft music playing in the hallways...
Oh yes, the hotel itself has a small shop with some supplies (including pet supplies, including some wonderful dog figurines), but if you need more groceries, the nearest shops aren't too close: either on the way to Futo Station (near the park) or closer to IzuKogen Station. There's a stunning cherry blossom street on the way to the latter.
The tax is paid upon check-out.

Guest UserThe hotel is located on a mountain golf course, making transportation difficult. The hotel offers a shuttle bus, but it's infrequent and difficult to catch. Therefore, you need to hike about 3 kilometers to get back to the hotel. Consider your stamina and the weight of your luggage if you're staying here. Those with limited stamina should be cautious. The hotel facilities are a bit dated, with only one bathing pool; it's hardly a hot springs hotel. Because it's located on a mountain, we recommend booking a room with dinner included. Dinner is a banquet menu with only two options, which change every two days. Drinks are extra and subject to tax, making them expensive. The hotel staff struggle with English and will need translation software or Japanese. The rooms are spacious, with windows that open wide, and on a clear day, you can see Mount Fuji.
