GGuest UserStaff were wonderful. They held my luggage as I was very early for check-in and communicated via a handheld translator. The room was very nice and spacious with an absolutely gorgeous view to the city and surrounding areas. The private hot spring tubby on the deck was also wonderful as you do get the scene to the city and providing a wonderful ambiance. The food provided was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Now the caveat is the hotel is on a hill and unless you have transportation like a rental car or taxi, getting up there is a hike and more so with luggage. The staff also provided me with a shuttle to Itō station and some snacks to my next location. Oh and the wonderful picture they took and framed for me was also so thoughtful

GGuest UserA wonderful ryokan with its own private onsen, offering two types: open-air and indoor. Dinner and breakfast are included, and everything is incredibly delicious, featuring many new and unusual dishes. They use only high-quality ingredients for preparation. All dishes are served sequentially, with detailed explanations of what each dish is and the best order to eat them. There's a huge variety of dishes – you'll be full for a week! The presentation is like something out of a Michelin-starred restaurant.
The room comes with both a kimono and pajamas, along with men's and women's amenity sets.
The room itself is spacious. They prepare the tatami for you to sleep on and then put it away. The tatami was comfortable, though I found the pillows a bit hard. They were special therapeutic pillows filled with grains (perhaps buckwheat, I'm not sure what they use in Japan).

GGuest UserIt was love from the first sight. Lovely and silent place that what you need after all the hustle and bustle of big cities. Hot springs are relaxing and food is delicious. Wish had more days there.

WwfqsshWe arrived at Izu Kogen Station outside of dining hours, but had pre-arranged a pick-up service. True to their word, the owner was waiting for us right outside the station. After we got into the car, they gave us some great tips for sightseeing in the area, which saved us a lot of time. The next day, after breakfast, the owner drove us to the entrance of Mount Omuro, saving us even more time. On our departure day, to ensure we made our 9 AM return train, the owner prepared breakfast earlier than usual and then dropped us off at the station.
Breakfast offered both Chinese and Western options, both beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, offering great value for money. In the evening, we tried the Xi'an Biangbiang noodles prepared by the owner, which many people recommended, and they were indeed excellent.
The accommodation was clean and tidy, and the restaurant was bright and comfortable.

MM359690****It's great value for money. You can get a free taxi from Ito Station to the hotel, and the hotel will also arrange a free taxi ride back to Ito Station upon departure. Each room includes one free pick-up and drop-off. There's a large public bath and two private onsen (hot springs) that can be booked in advance; each room can reserve one 45-minute private onsen session. The hotel's conditioner made my hair very smooth, and I even bought shampoo and conditioner to take with me. It's perfect for leisurely strolling around the city and then relaxing in the hotel's onsen. I didn't book a room with breakfast and dinner included this time, mainly because I don't eat raw meat, and I figured the meals would be good.

DDongguaxuanHow should I put this? I came to experience the Hoshino Resorts Kai brand, and overall, everything from the facilities and ambiance to the service and food justified the 5k price tag. However, for 5k, you could also book a hotel with a private onsen. This particular hotel is more suited for couples looking for a relaxing getaway. I wouldn't really recommend it for families with children, possibly due to privacy concerns. The hotel lobby itself was hard to find, and getting there would be quite a hassle without a car or private transfer. The meals also weren't very kid-friendly; my children didn't eat well for either breakfast or dinner.

MM317143****It's very spacious, and although it's a bit old, it's very clean. The rooms are not only large but also fully equipped with everything, including an induction cooker, range hood, and kitchen utensils, though we didn't really need them. The public bathhouse was quite comfortable, and it had everything we needed. The receptionist speaks English, so we could communicate, and they were very friendly.
