Staff were wonderful. They held my luggage as I was very early for check-in and communicated via a handheld translator. The room was very nice and spacious with an absolutely gorgeous view to the city and surrounding areas. The private hot spring tubby on the deck was also wonderful as you do get the scene to the city and providing a wonderful ambiance. The food provided was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Now the caveat is the hotel is on a hill and unless you have transportation like a rental car or taxi, getting up there is a hike and more so with luggage. The staff also provided me with a shuttle to Itō station and some snacks to my next location. Oh and the wonderful picture they took and framed for me was also so thoughtful

Guest UserExtremely satisfied with this hotel. If I go to Izu again, I'll definitely stay here. The dinner, called Midori-iro Yusen, was incredibly rich and featured many dishes, allowing me to experience Izu's specialty, Kinmedai (splendid alfonsino). The hot springs were super comfortable too!

It was love from the first sight. Lovely and silent place that what you need after all the hustle and bustle of big cities. Hot springs are relaxing and food is delicious. Wish had more days there.
Big thanks to all the staff who created such atmosphere

The room is very spacious as it is like an apartment. The hotel is older but we can imagine it to be a luxury hotel back in its heyday. Location is no issue as we drove, and it was convenient to all the main attractions around the area eg. Mount omuro, jogasaki. The kids booked a slot in the kids playroom which is suitable for younger children. There was also a kids game which they can exchange for a prize upon completion, similar to Easter egg hunt, which made them excited and this helped us become familiar with the common areas and facilities.

poptotiI've always wanted to visit Izu, and after seeing recommendations online 🤔, I decided to check out this guesthouse. And it certainly didn't disappoint! 🫵 The owner is from Xi'an. After booking, you can message him on WeChat or email him to let him know your estimated arrival time in Izu. 👌 He'll personally pick you up from the station, and if you want to visit other attractions, he'll also drive you if he's available, saving you travel time. The guesthouse itself is beautiful 👏🏻, with a strong artistic vibe thanks to all the decorations. The proprietress is very talented 👍, and every corner of the room is stunningly decorated. I also have to praise the owner's cooking! 👍 If you're craving Xi'an specialties, you can ask the owner to cook for you. You can order à la carte or choose a guesthouse meal package (a heads-up: there are no restaurants or supermarkets nearby) 😜. We booked breakfast and dinner (for breakfast, you can choose between Chinese or Western) ☺, and the owner's noodles are absolutely amazing 😋. If you want to try Xi'an noodles, you can ask the owner to cook them for you (he mentioned they mostly serve noodles for lunch) 👌. I usually don't have much of an appetite for breakfast, so the owner specially made me a big bowl of Qishan Saozi noodles 🍜. Oh my god 😋, the sour and spicy flavors immediately opened up my appetite! Thank you to the incredible owner for saving my Chinese stomach! 🙏 Oh, and in the evenings, the owner will also take you to nearby hot springs ♨. If you want to experience authentic local hot springs, you should definitely try it! ♨ The owners are very easygoing, and after two days, it felt like we were old friends. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to Izu 🙂 and another taste of the owner's amazing Saozi noodles! 🍜

The seafood sashimi was a little small, but the meal was satisfactory.
The stairs from the parking lot to the front room were tight for me with bad knees.

Before we booked here I read some review from locals (Japanese) said that better to book somewhere else as this hotel is very pricey and offers low value. For example the dinner and breakfast are not impressive and not enough. Feels to me they use mostly cheaper ingredients for good presentation only. Worst point is they do not serve coffee/tea during breakfast and ask you to make yourself at the lobby with those premix which is a turn off. Especially after the high room price we paid. Like the other locals said : better to spend the money elsewhere

It was good in a very clean and beautiful room.
Breakfast and dinner are delicious, and it is recommended to put it on rather than staying overnight.
Please note that there are no convenience stores or shops around because the surrounding area is a villa. However, I am satisfied with the scenery and the richness of nature!

YinchanchanchanI recommend that those without a car consider this carefully. The location is on a hillside, with bus stops nearby (8-20 minutes, depending on the route). However, most of the bus stops involve uphill climbing, which can be tiring with luggage. The nearest convenience store is a 20-minute walk away, while the restaurant is about a 10-minute walk. However, if you have a car, you'll be very happy; the price is very reasonable, and it's close to Mount Omuro and the Ikeda Museum of Art.
The hotel facilities are comprehensive, with a public hot spring and sauna. Rooms have a kitchen, bathroom, and balcony. The kitchen has basic pots, pans, a microwave, and tableware. Since I stayed in a pet-friendly room, I saw that dog food bowls and a litter box were provided (although there was some pet hair on the floor, which I personally found acceptable).
The interior doesn't feel old; it's very well-maintained. The staff are very polite, but they don't communicate very well in English, although a translator is readily available.

Guest UserThe hotel is located on a mountain golf course, making transportation difficult. The hotel offers a shuttle bus, but it's infrequent and difficult to catch. Therefore, you need to hike about 3 kilometers to get back to the hotel. Consider your stamina and the weight of your luggage if you're staying here. Those with limited stamina should be cautious. The hotel facilities are a bit dated, with only one bathing pool; it's hardly a hot springs hotel. Because it's located on a mountain, we recommend booking a room with dinner included. Dinner is a banquet menu with only two options, which change every two days. Drinks are extra and subject to tax, making them expensive. The hotel staff struggle with English and will need translation software or Japanese. The rooms are spacious, with windows that open wide, and on a clear day, you can see Mount Fuji.
