Grace PangiranWe stayed at Ipoh Bali Hotel for 4 days and 3 nights for our honeymoon, and weâre truly so grateful we chose a local honeymoon instead of flying overseas. This place made our trip feel peaceful, romantic, and memorable.
From the moment we checked in, Raidah was incredibly warm, helpful, and friendly and she even checked us out at the end of our stay. Her hospitality really made us feel welcomed and taken care of throughout the trip.
All the staff we met during our stay were genuinely friendly and welcoming. Every time we walked past, we were greeted with smiles, which made the atmosphere feel so warm and comfortable.
We also had massages during our stay, and the masseuses were amazing. The service honestly felt like a 5-star experience, professional, relaxing, and exactly what we needed after the wedding.
A special mention to the breakfast team as well, especially May, who was so kind and attentive. The food was excellent. We loved it so much that we ordered the same dishes twice during our stay, the Balinese chicken porridge and the Balinese rice set (canât remember the exact name, but it was so good!).
The room itself was spacious with beautiful high ceilings, giving such a cozy Bali-inspired atmosphere. One of our favourite parts was the sound of flowing water from the balcony at night
It was incredibly calming and helped us sleep so well. The bathroom was also very spacious and came with a lovely bathtub, which made the whole honeymoon experience even more special.
Honestly, the hotel felt like a 5-star resort experience to us, so we were surprised to find out itâs officially rated 3 stars. The service, atmosphere, and overall experience exceeded our expectations.
Overall, this was the perfect honeymoon stay for us, and we will definitely come back again in the future.

Guest UserMy friend and I stayed in the family room which we found to be clean and comfortable. Practical use of space. Bathroom was spartan but adequate. Air con worked well. Beds were firm. Easy to walk to restaurants and shops.
My only gripe was the thin walls and there was a group of young school children who were opening and closing their room door incessantly. Ear plugs would easily solve this issue.
I would gladly come back again.

For the price, I think it is a reasonable option. Â However objectively:
1. The air-cons don't work well - one of them was leaking. Â The staff was helpful in sending contractor to fix while we were out but due to miscommunication (because we have connecting rooms) the âfixâ was made to the air-con that wasn't leaking as badly as the one we complained about. Â To be fair they offered to swap rooms but we are a family of 5 and it was a hassle to repack and move so we declined.Â
2. The hot water was very good despite some reviews. Â However the shower head in one of the rooms were such that they don't stay put so occasional splashes happened.Â
3. One of the rooms wasn't cleaned (we have connecting room) - the âmake my roomâ card wasn't available in one of the room so we hung on just 1 of the room and left the connecting door open, thinking that the cleaners would clean both. Â They only cleaned 1. Â I guess we could have outright told reception instead of assuming that the cleaners will clean both rooms since we left the connecting door open.Â
4. I paid for extra bed - but the bedsheet was dusty - they changed it (or at least vacuumed it) after the first night.Â
5. The beds were quite comfortable, they offered free bottled water and coffee sachets, tv worked, fridges worked, rooms were decent sized, wifi was ok - ample street parking, the lights were ok but one of the rooms had stark white lights instead of the warmer ones. Location was good, just off the highway and across the eateries in Bercham.Â
6. The staff were helpful and friendly. Â Despite the complaints they texted me and constantly called to check if we needed towels (because one of the room weren't cleaned) and they asked twice if we wanted to change rooms (we didn't because of reason stated above).Â
7. Suggestion - build a small ramp to go up to the hotel from the road if possible. Â It will be helpful for luggage and older folks / wheelchairs etc.Â
All in all, it was a decent stay. Â Price was competitive but cleanliness could be better - and air-con/shower heads can be better maintained.Â

Guest UserStayed at Hotel 1969 and had a very pleasant experience. The staff were polite and kind throughout our stay, especially the concierge, who also acted as our airport transfer driver. Although I did not get his name, he was very responsible and ensured we arrived at the airport on time.
We also enjoyed a nice breakfast before heading off, which was perfect and satisfying. The hotel location is very convenient, with many coffeeshops nearby.
Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely return again.

iamnutHotel is quite old and outdated. Parking is super limited, probably less than 15 parking units for the whole hotel, so most likely you have to park outside and make sure to pay parking unless you want to get summoned.
The iron is not even hot enough to iron a simple cloth. Aircond water sometimes suddenly starts dripping and the shower doesnât even have hot water. Breakfast was okay only to fill your stomach, donât expect much.
Positive point would be the hardworking staff. Overall, for the price, you definitely can get a better place.

Guest UserI was very satisfied with my stay. What I liked most was the hotel's location, right in the heart of Ipoh Old Town, with many famous coffee shops, eateries, and attractions nearby, mostly within walking distance, which was incredibly convenient.
The room was spacious, much larger than I expected, comfortable to stay in, and didn't feel cramped. The hygiene was good, and the overall environment was clean.
If I had to mention a drawback, it would be that the hotel doesn't provide exclusive parking. If you're driving, you'll need to find parking nearby. However, considering the hotel's prime city center location, this is acceptable.
Overall, considering the location, room size, and price, the value for money is quite good, and I would recommend it.

ilkashongThe location very good. You can walk to many famous restaurants in Ipoh old town. All not more than ten minute, very convenient.
House is very big and bed is comfortable. But the smell from the sewer is very strong and extremely unpleasant. It helped when you close the toiletâs door.
Not much soundproof, you can hear other guests walking and chatting at the corridor. It can be quite noisy in the morning and night when people passing by.
The design of the car park is a nightmare. Itâs octagon shaped - really challenging when you drive the car up to level 7 in one go.
The management team quite approachable. They will collect RM300 for damage deposit through credit card. And will return in 1-2 days after your check out. ( I havenât checked if I received the return).

Anonymous UserWorth the price you pay! Great location, just beside the highway. Everything is clean, aircond was functioning well, the room is nice. Itâs just that the small fridge is not functioning and the water pressure is kinda slow. But I donât really mind. The front desk was also nice. I will reconsider staying at this hotel again for a short staycation.
