3-Star Hotels in Hamamatsu

I booked the hotel while traveling for a concert. The time I booked and the time I actually stayed were quite different, so I misjudged the distance between the hotel and the station. It was much farther than I thought, and walking in the middle of summer was impossible. There was a bus stop right in front of the hotel, so I took the bus. The nearest convenience store is also located in the downtown area, so the area is quite unsafe.

The hotel was very close to the station, which was great. I also liked that the single rooms were more spacious than those in other chain hotels. As it was a long holiday weekend, breakfast was a bit crowded, so I recommend going with plenty of time.

I choose Ascent for its cost-performance ratio, but the bathtubs in most rooms drain poorly, so I always have to get out and rinse my feet with the shower. Also, the toilet seats don't have a heating function, so in winter they're freezing cold, and I sigh every time I use the toilet. Recently, the welcome drink has also changed from being free to a paid service. That being said, it's cheaper than nearby hotels, so I still use it.

It was close to the station and the hotel was clean and I had a comfortable stay. The walls were thin and you could hear every conversation in the next room, so if you're sensitive about that, it might be best to avoid this hotel.

When I asked in advance, ”Is it possible to change to something that is easy for children to eat?”, I was grateful that I changed it to a child lunch-style meal. Also, because there was a child, the restaurant was prepared in the private room, and it was relaxed and the meal was able to be done. The family room was like an old good inn room, but it was cleaned or well equipped and equipped with what was needed. My child liked Pal Pal and went to play for two days, but it was helpful to use the parking lot before check-in and after check-out. Pal Pal is a short walk from the inn. It was a perfect inn for family.

While the room was a bit small, they have sento where you can soak in after a long day. They also have comic books you can bring to your room to read. It was a new experience and I love it.

It is a hot spring hotel by the lake of the name. The room is very spacious and there are tables and chairs. Unfortunately, the room has no bathroom. People who cannot soak in the hot spring must take a bath in the public bath. When booking, pay special attention to ”no bathroom in the room”. It is within walking distance of the Songsong Zoo and Huali Park. The park is also very close by. Each room has a balcony and windows facing the lake, which is perfect for a leisurely holiday. The counter will ask if the bathing facilities are used, and an additional 150 yen is required per person. The focus is that the room does not have a bathroom. Why is it not included in the room fee? At that time, when I checked in, I only asked if I needed to soak. Because my family didn't like to soak, I opened the room and knew that there was only a bathroom. The counter did not remind the room that there was no bathroom. I really wanted to remind the guests. The next day, I asked the counter lady about the nearby attractions, and she had a kind introduction 👍

The size of the hotel was good. The bad thing is the staff who responded at check-in. When I asked about the room number, it was written on the paper. I asked a question because I didn't know even if it was written. I don't think I need to explain anything because it was written. I didn't show you the breakfast venue. I heard it myself. I didn't tell you that there was no amenities in the room.

Lake view hotel, the view is very good. The big bath is also very good, there are paid drinks and free popsicles at the exit. There is grilled salmon for dinner buffet. There is an elevator in the cockroach, and you need to wait during the peak check-out period.

Everything was actually really good, but this hotel was so old it couldn’t feel comfortable or clean despite best efforts. Location was great - 2 min walk from Hamamatsu Station. Staff was kind and let us check in just slightly before 3pm. Amenities were super for what you pay. Free evening curry, 1 draft beer and decent breakfast spread. Big letdown was the room - peeling wallpaper, stained carpets, no aircon (only heater), mold in bathroom crevices of vent. I think housekeeping is probably good and the room is fundamentally well-cleaned, but the old infrastructure just makes everything feel dingy. I feel bad as I feel the hotel is trying its best, but despite the amenities mentioned, I will never stay at this hotel again.
