3-Star Hotels in Avignon

This is a treasure hotel, the space is very large, clean and elegant, and it is very comfortable to bring a small courtyard. Very good value for money place. The service attitude is very good, can communicate in English, at least the two receptions I encountered have no problems. The hotel is a courtyard type, the reception will lead you to see the room, otherwise you will not find it.

The air conditioner is better not to turn on in summer, and the air conditioner is hotter than outside.

The location is quiet and it is very convenient to visit the ancient city. As soon as I arrived at the hotel, the owner enthusiastically took out a map to explain in detail what attractions and how to route. But overall it is more like a homestay. Every day, there is a afternoon at 4-7 to check in, and you must check out at 11 noon. Our room was arranged in the attic, which is the third floor. We needed to carry our luggage up the narrow stairs. The sewer in the room smelled, and there was no ventilation system. It felt a bit stinky when sleeping, and the clothes could not be dried at all. Later, I saw the electric water heater in the public toilet on the first floor. I understood that it may be because more than a dozen rooms share a water heater and limited hot water. The room is very clean and not too small. The environment is very quiet. The location is good, less than ten minutes walk from Avignon center train station, and there is a tram outside the hotel. The staff is also very enthusiastic and introduced local attractions and restaurants. You can see the ancient city wall outside the hotel.

Because it was a summer check-in and the first floor of the room, I found a lot of ants and other insects because it was a holiday season. The hotel was full of business. The rooms were full and could only be sprayed with the insecticide provided. There is no way to understand the place.

Hotel is OK for one night stay. The room is a little small. There is a small swimming pool. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel connecting to the city of Avignon. The price is a bit high, but this is the Avignon Festival time so I can understand.

The evening before we wanted to take dinner in this moodful room, which wasn't going, just in another restaurant room (also ok, but not so beautiful), but the next evening we saw guests at the big beautiful fireplace in the “breaking room” eat there.. I find that without explanation a bad service. in the early evening. Because of the lift and lack of comfort in the room, I would book somewhere else at the next trip despite the location directly at the Pope Palace.

The routes of trip in Avignon is in a castle. So, the location will be almost the same to all hotels. This hotel is easy to find, just at main road from train station to the place of Pope. the entrance seems to be old, but room is modern style with clean and good equipment.

The small garden of the hotel is very beautiful, the various large supermarket restaurants around Auchan Lafayette Department Store are very rich, free breakfast, enough for accommodation
