Hidden in the green mountains and bamboo seas of Ziling Village, it is a veritable ”natural forest oxygen bar”. The buildings are mostly single-family villas, some retaining the local earth wall style, but the interior is European-style rural style, with story-filled utensils and art decoration, both wild and exquisite. The room is named after ”Mogan, Ziling, Mountain Village, Reading”, and the details are hidden in ingenuity. The double bed suite room type, some of which are double loft structures, equipped with large floor-to-ceiling windows, independent balcony and bathtub, and the bamboo sea and mountain view can be seen by pushing the window. The facilities pay attention to comfort. ”Butler-style intimate” service, will wait in advance to help carry luggage when you check in. Dining is the core highlight. Afternoon tea and breakfast are exquisite and ceremonial. The villa owner, Mr. Wang, is very talkative and caring. Dinner is a private dish with Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai tastes. The ingredients are fresh and the taste is authentic. Would recommend family and friends to stay again!

We recently enjoyed a 4-night stay at Mo Yan Homestay (莫颜·莫干山Villa环山溯溪美宿（庾村广场店)) with our two children. The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, situated incredibly close to the hiking trails of Moganshan. The amenities are equally impressive, featuring a large outdoor pool, a rooftop barbecue area, and an additional ground-floor barbecue spot. There are plenty of cozy sitting areas both inside and around the hotel for relaxation. For indoor entertainment, the hotel offers a spacious billiard table on the ground floor, as well as an arcade gaming set that our kids couldn’t get enough of. Speaking of the kids, they were thrilled with the children’s themed room we booked. The room’s balcony provided stunning views of the river, mountains, and lush bamboo forests that front the hotel. But what truly sets Mo Yan Homestay apart are the hosts. They are among the best we’ve encountered in China, making us feel completely at home. This was our second trip to Moganshan, and thanks to the incredible hospitality at Mo Yan, it certainly won’t be our last. We’re already looking forward to our next visit. We had an amazing stay at this villa. The owners are by far the best part of the stay. They are so nice and friendly. The man drove us around town a few times and helped us prepare things for our bbq. He set everything up and cleaned it up. Whenever we offered to help he never allowed us. The room was immaculate when we arrived and everyday if we left the room no matter what time they would go up and clean it. We got fresh bedding and towels everyday which was not necessary but a very nice thought. Anything we needed we could just ask and they would help us. We did book this place over others based on they had a resturant but just be ware you need to have a minimum of 8 people in your party to use it. This was no problem for us though as we just ate in town down the road. I would highly recommend this place for couples who want to sit and enjoy nature but also any families looking for a nice place to relax. They have an amazing garden and the pool was great too. Honestly have no complaints! The games room was awesome too!

Relaxed and chill stay in Mogashan. Away from the crowds and tourist traps. The room is clean and comfortable. The hotel’s backyard is literally a bamboo forest. Follow the signs to the swimming pool and go over the ledge to a wild path leading to Moganshan. Breakfast is provided daily. Expect a Chinese style breakfast with congee, pickled vegetables, steamed sweet potato and corn. There are also local family style restaurants nearby. If you want more options, take a twenty minute car ride to Yucun.

It was a truly delightful trip, relaxing and unwinding throughout. Aside from the accommodation, which was booked in advance, everything else was spontaneous, and we spent most of our time quietly resting. The B&B is run by a mother and daughter. They are warm and friendly, and their genuine love for life is evident. They even patiently opened the parking barrier for us time and time again. Both breakfasts were perfectly suited to my taste, and I enjoyed them slowly on my own. On my last day, I even received a lovely gift. I had planned to try wax sealing and visit the old house during the last half day, but it was crowded with people taking photos, so I didn't bother. The owner's thoughtful reminder upon departure was incredibly thoughtful. I even brought my 8-year-old dog with me, and got to know the B&B's ”locals”: Boss Ha, also 8, and Little Potato, 9 months old. Harry prefers quiet time and often sleeps inside; Little Potato is lively and hospitable, and especially loved playing with my dog—I captured many adorable moments with them.

Location: Opposite Jun'anli, very close to the starting point of Moganshan Cross-country Race. You can clean up your stomach in the hotel and walk over to start running. You don't need to store your bag, let alone queue for the bathroom near the starting point. Environment: The whole villa with front and back yards is spacious and open. Because of the gate, it is private and well separated from the street. There is a large outdoor swimming pool and grass canopy in the yard. There are many small chairs, small tables, hanging chairs, and flowers and plants to rest and daze. The lobby on the first floor is very spacious, the sofa is very comfortable, and the combination of various exquisite furnishings and plants can show the boss's love for life. Many still life sketches can be taken in different small corners. Room: The room is spacious, clean and tidy, needless to say, the bedding is well-received, the bed is just soft and hard, and the latex pillow is very friendly to my sensitive neck! I slept very well for two nights. I like the windows on one wall, with a bamboo forest outside the window, and a wall like a painting. The frame does not change and the content of the painting changes with the seasons. The quality of various toiletries and aromatherapy is very good. The blueberries for welcome fruit are also washed in a box, touching! Breakfast: Choose according to the menu the day before. The boss specially prepares a special breakfast at 6 o'clock for the cross-country racers. The sandwich is well received! The sour soup noodles for daily breakfast are well received! The boss can take care of all kinds of taboos, which is touching! Service: The boss is super nice, warm and thoughtful, beautiful and considerate, making people feel at home. I hope that the track organized by Kalas next time will be different from that of TNF, so that there will be another reason to come back!

The B&B's location is a bit of a downside; it's not in the scenic area, nor is it close to Yucun. However, if you're traveling by car, it's not an issue at all, just a ten-to-fifteen-minute drive. The service was excellent; they added me on WeChat early on and were always quick to answer any questions. We decided to hike the Jiang Gong Ancient Trail to the top of Moganshan with my dad on New Year's Day morning. We started at 7 AM and reached the summit by 8 AM. We were incredibly lucky to see a snowy landscape that morning, and even better, the sun came out around 9 AM, turning the sky a beautiful sapphire blue. PS: The EV charging fee is a bit high, surprisingly 1.9 yuan per kWh.

1. The three-bedroom villa we stayed in was a great experience. All three bedrooms had king-sized (1.8m) beds, and the rooms were clean and spacious. It was perfect for a family, allowing everyone to rest without disturbing each other, making for a very comfortable stay. 2. The indoor layout was well-designed with distinct functional areas. There was a separate study room with a desk, ideal for quiet reading or working. The living room had a mahjong table, perfect for playing cards with family and friends during leisure time. The kitchen was fully equipped with appliances, including an oven, making it convenient to buy ingredients and cook our own meals. 3. The villa featured a large, spacious terrace nestled among the mountains and forests, offering expansive views of the mountain scenery. Sitting on the terrace, enjoying the mountain breeze and the lush greenery, created a wonderfully relaxing vacation atmosphere.

The service was the true standout of our stay at this B&B! The owner and his wife were so kind and welcoming to us during our stay. Anything we needed (included a request for a Bluetooth speaker and bicycles to explore the area) they accommodated. We ate lunch once and dinner twice there…the food was simple, fresh, and delicious. On our second night when we requested dinner we were invited to eat dinner with their family and have some beers, which made our stay feel warm and memorable—it was such a nice experience. Although we are foreigners and have limited Chinese language ability both the boss and his wife were so friendly and thoughtful! Anything you need can be requested on WeChat. The location is beautiful and tucked perfectly into the mountains (beware though, most restaurants and shops will require at least a 15 minute walk to reach…this didn’t bother us much though because we several meals at the homestay). Overall, a wonderful stay that we would definitely recommend to others!

During the May Day holiday, Moganshan Scenic Area was crowded with people, and the price of homestays was also shockingly expensive, easily one or two thousand. Later, a friend recommended Zhuyanxiyu, which was really affordable and had a large room. It felt great value for money. The yard was paved with stones, and there was a row of stone-built pools full of foxtail algae, which was also very stylish. The roses taken care of by the owner of the homestay were in full bloom, which was very beautiful. The homestay has its own back mountain, which is full of bamboos and full of green. The owner is very enthusiastic, and the owner's wife cooks delicious dishes. The bamboo forest chicken soup is the first choice. The two children drank up the soup without a drop, haha.
