Great homestay with friendly and serviceminded hosts The Dengfeng Youlu Homestay was a very nice experience and can be highly recommended. The rooms were very clean and modern. Spacious and with comfortable beds. The bathroom was also modern with nice amenities. The location is a little outside the city, but closer to the main attractions to Mount Song. So easy to reach with taxi. We found the location very good and convenient since we wanted to go to the scenic areas. We had breakfast included and found it very tasty and nice. It was plain and fresh and a nice selection of nutritious food before starting the day. The service was very good. The hosts didn’t speak much English, but we used translator apps so absolutely no problem for foreigners. The Dengfeng Youlu honestly has a nice compound with a Chinese garden. They also have a pool. It looks very comfy and cosy to sit and enjoy the garden, but we were there in beginning January so it was wintertime. The room we got had nice view of the garden and the mountains. We can for sure recommend this homestay and we think the reviews written so fare are very correct.

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this homestay in Dengfeng. It was the highlight of our trip to the Shaolin Temple area! The Room: The room was incredibly spacious—way bigger than we expected! And it was very, very clean. Everything from the bedding to the bathroom was spotless and well-maintained. It felt like a home away from home. The Location: Absolutely fabulous. We were close to all the main sights, including the Shaolin Temple and Mount Song. It made getting around so easy, and there were great local restaurants just steps away. The Staff (The REAL Highlight): The staff were super, super friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. But one moment truly touched our hearts. We were running late for breakfast and arrived just as they were about to clear everything. Even though there was still plenty of food left, we only ate a little because we felt bad keeping them waiting, and we quickly headed out. Just as we were about to leave, the owner came running after us with two packs of milk in her hands. She said, ”You didn't eat much breakfast, so please take this milk before you go.” It honestly melted our hearts. That small, thoughtful gesture showed just how much she truly cares about her guests. Final Verdict: If you're visiting Dengfeng, do yourself a favor and stay here. Spacious, spotless, perfectly located, and run by the warmest, most generous people. We will definitely be back!

Hotel location is good, not far from the high-speed exit, more than ten kilometers from Shaolin Temple Scenic Area, you can see Lushan from the window. The room is floor heating and very warm. There are paper and pens to practice calligraphy in the room. There are two popular restaurants around. The front desk service is good, the room is clean and tidy, and the space feels a little cramped. Breakfast is full and parking is convenient.

This stay at the guesthouse on this side of the mountain completely exceeded my expectations, making it arguably the most pleasant short trip I've had recently—I have to give it a shout-out! Let me start with the most stunning aspect: the environment and the view. The guesthouse truly lived up to its name; opening the window revealed a breathtaking panorama of rolling mountains. In the early morning, you could even see the mountainside shrouded in mist, the whole scene resembling a traditional Chinese ink painting. When the sun came out, you could see Wansui Peak, one of the 72 peaks of Songshan Mountain, right outside the window. The room's natural wood tones paired with soft lighting instantly relieved the fatigue of my journey. The sheets and blankets were clean and tidy, and the room was warm and cozy, with no dampness even on rainy days. The staff were incredibly welcoming, providing travel tips and introducing local delicacies in Dengfeng. I wholeheartedly recommend this guesthouse.

The hotel room is quite spacious, and the price was reasonable during the May Day holiday. The breakfast was plentiful, and parking was easy. The underground parking lot even has charging stations, which is a huge plus for electric vehicles. The only downside is that the mobile signal in the underground garage isn't very good! They offer free coffee from the coffee machine on the first floor, which I highly recommend!

It doesn't seem feasible to reach the hotel by public transport, so having a car is necessary. Accessing the hotel entrance on foot involves climbing a flight of stairs from ground level. Once inside, guests must take the lift to reach the reception on level 6 for check-in. Luggage loading can be managed in carpark B1, and this requires the hotel to open the gate for vehicle access. In terms of service, the hotel staff were attentive and provided good service. They efficiently dried my son's and my sports shoes overnight, saving us from having to travel in wet footwear the next day. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, which was delivered to our room. We were able to enjoy it on our small balcony, which was a delightful touch. The breakfast was both healthy and delicious.

A homestay that deserves 100 points! The room is clean and tidy, and the towels and other supplies are of good quality. It is much more comfortable than the three or four hundred hotels I booked before! The breakfast is also delicious! There are many kinds of food! Eat well! The most important thing is! The uncles and aunts are very enthusiastic, considerate, and friendly (a hundred words of praise omitted here). The next day, we went to climb Songshan Mountain, and the luggage was stored in the homestay. I came back at 6 o'clock after climbing. Because I had to go to Zhengzhou to take the high-speed rail at 9 o'clock, I wanted to rest in the lobby. The uncles and aunts were not impatient at all! Instead, they brought us water and bananas from time to time, and fried cakes for us a little later in case we were hungry! It's really so nice! With such a boss, it's hard not to be happy! The overall environment of the hotel is clean and tidy, the decoration style incorporates Zen culture, and the lobby and corridors are full of design sense, which makes people feel comfortable. The room is spacious and bright, the bedding is soft and clean, the sound insulation effect is very good, and it is very quiet at night. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet, the toiletries are complete, and the hot water supply is sufficient. The details are in place, free mineral water, smart toilets, etc., the experience is full! In general, whether it is a family trip or a solo trip, this is the best choice for Dengfeng accommodation! Super cost-effective, I will definitely stay here next time I come to Dengfeng!

Very friendly and helpful staff. One person spoke some English which made things a little easier for me. It's a quick taxi ride to Songshan. It's not really in a location to walk to places so I think it's best if you have your own car. The taxi driver and 'other' drivers do like to overcharge tourists. Getting off at the bus station and being harassed by drivers was unpleasant and gave Dengfeng a bad feeling. There is no train so unless you have a car, you'll also have this unpleasant experience. Dengfeng is quite nice just the welcome is unfortunate. The hotel staff were wonderful, and the room was spacious. I loved the little table by the window, very pleasant. The restaurant across from the parking lot has tasty food and very reasonable priced.

I drove to Shaolin Temple with my kids and booked this hotel. It was OK. The room facilities were complete. The three beds were suitable for a family. The bathroom was separated into dry and wet areas, which was very convenient. Parking in the hospital is very convenient.
