Great homestay with friendly and serviceminded hosts The Dengfeng Youlu Homestay was a very nice experience and can be highly recommended. The rooms were very clean and modern. Spacious and with comfortable beds. The bathroom was also modern with nice amenities. The location is a little outside the city, but closer to the main attractions to Mount Song. So easy to reach with taxi. We found the location very good and convenient since we wanted to go to the scenic areas. We had breakfast included and found it very tasty and nice. It was plain and fresh and a nice selection of nutritious food before starting the day. The service was very good. The hosts didn’t speak much English, but we used translator apps so absolutely no problem for foreigners. The Dengfeng Youlu honestly has a nice compound with a Chinese garden. They also have a pool. It looks very comfy and cosy to sit and enjoy the garden, but we were there in beginning January so it was wintertime. The room we got had nice view of the garden and the mountains. We can for sure recommend this homestay and we think the reviews written so fare are very correct.

This stay at the guesthouse on this side of the mountain completely exceeded my expectations, making it arguably the most pleasant short trip I've had recently—I have to give it a shout-out! Let me start with the most stunning aspect: the environment and the view. The guesthouse truly lived up to its name; opening the window revealed a breathtaking panorama of rolling mountains. In the early morning, you could even see the mountainside shrouded in mist, the whole scene resembling a traditional Chinese ink painting. When the sun came out, you could see Wansui Peak, one of the 72 peaks of Songshan Mountain, right outside the window. The room's natural wood tones paired with soft lighting instantly relieved the fatigue of my journey. The sheets and blankets were clean and tidy, and the room was warm and cozy, with no dampness even on rainy days. The staff were incredibly welcoming, providing travel tips and introducing local delicacies in Dengfeng. I wholeheartedly recommend this guesthouse.

This place feels like home. Every person, every object, every blade of grass, every tree is wonderful. Every time I come, it's here waiting for me. As soon as I enter, family members come out to greet me and help me with my bags. The young men and women at the front desk are lovely and gentle, attentively asking about my needs. The owner is also incredibly friendly; seeing that we had two children with us, they upgraded our room for free. We chose this place two years ago when we visited relatives, and this time we booked a room without hesitation. The kids said it was so wonderful, they didn't want to leave. It was a very comfortable and pleasant stay. 👍👍👍

Hotel location is good, not far from the high-speed exit, more than ten kilometers from Shaolin Temple Scenic Area, you can see Lushan from the window. The room is floor heating and very warm. There are paper and pens to practice calligraphy in the room. There are two popular restaurants around. The front desk service is good, the room is clean and tidy, and the space feels a little cramped. Breakfast is full and parking is convenient.

It is our first time in China - it was a great stay - owner is very helpful - helped us to organise the tickets to Zen Music Festival, and she showed us the attractions in the area, we enjoyed the food - traditional breakfast, we had traditional hot pot for the dinner - great experience, also she made for us in the evening traditional tea (Pu-erh, and green tea) - unforgettable moments. Thank you very much for the hospitality.

This hotel is perfect for taking children out to play. The beds are 1.35 meters long, so there is no problem sleeping two people. The room is also very clean. The hotel is very considerate and turned on the heating in advance. Thumbs up. It is very close to Dayu City and there is a night market where you can stay at night.

The front desk was warm and thoughtful, and took the initiative to help with luggage and introduce tourist routes. The overall environment of the hotel is clean and tidy, the decoration style incorporates Zen culture, and the lobby and corridors are full of design sense, which makes people feel comfortable. The room is spacious and bright, the bedding is soft and clean, the sound insulation effect is very good, and it is very quiet at night. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet, the toiletries are complete, and the hot water supply is sufficient. The details are in place, free mineral water, smart toilets, etc., the experience is full! In general, whether it is a family trip or a solo trip, this is the best choice for Dengfeng accommodation! Super cost-effective, I will definitely stay here next time I come to Dengfeng!

Very friendly and helpful staff. One person spoke some English which made things a little easier for me. It's a quick taxi ride to Songshan. It's not really in a location to walk to places so I think it's best if you have your own car. The taxi driver and 'other' drivers do like to overcharge tourists. Getting off at the bus station and being harassed by drivers was unpleasant and gave Dengfeng a bad feeling. There is no train so unless you have a car, you'll also have this unpleasant experience. Dengfeng is quite nice just the welcome is unfortunate. The hotel staff were wonderful, and the room was spacious. I loved the little table by the window, very pleasant. The restaurant across from the parking lot has tasty food and very reasonable priced.

The Zen meditation theme hotel we stayed in this time was really great! Located next to the Zen Shaolin Music Ceremony, the hotel has a quiet environment and a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for relaxing. The hotel's activity arrangements are very rich, allowing people to fully experience the essence and charm of Zen meditation. The room layout is simple and elegant, yet warm and comfortable, making people feel at home as soon as they enter. The hotel also provides an exquisite Zen breakfast, which is very good. Overall, I was very satisfied with this accommodation experience. Whether it was the environment, service or activities, I felt deeply comfortable. It was an unforgettable meditation trip.

I booked a single room at this hotel for 85 RMB on a solo bike trip, including breakfast. It was an incredible value. Highly recommended.
