3-Star Hotels in Grindelwald

Derby Swiss Quality Hotel boasts an unbeatable location, just a few steps from Grindelwald train station, making it incredibly convenient for travelers with luggage. The rooms are clean and tidy, and the balcony offers stunning views of the valley and snow-capped mountains. The staff are gentle and attentive, patiently explaining details about the First cable car and hiking routes. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of fresh food. The hotel is well-equipped with an elevator and good soundproofing, providing a quiet retreat amidst a bustling area. It's incredibly easy to get to Jungfraujoch and First from here. I was extremely satisfied with my trip to Switzerland and would definitely choose this hotel again next time!

各方面都挺好的我們住了兩晚，酒店就在first山的半山腰Bort這個纜車🚡上下點，其中有個遊樂項目Trottibike的起點就在這裏終點在山腳，我們要在first玩所以定了這個酒店，酒店不大總共10多個房間，房間沒有空調，夏天上半夜有點熱，下半夜就沒問題，冬天有制暖器。如果入住這裏大家一定記得提前在下午五點前check in，因為我們要在山下的小鎮格林德瓦坐纜車上來的，纜車最後一班大概在下午5點-6點，除非是自駕車，不然晚上上來酒店很麻煩。大家如果喜歡安靜且希望窗户直接可以看first景色的話這裏就挺好的，酒店下面吃自助早餐的位置也很好對着雪山，房間價格還行，下山做纜車衹有一站，從Bort到山下十多分鐘。對了酒店旁邊還有個適合小孩玩的小樂園。

I stayed one night and the location and view were great. In particular, the view could be said to be the best in Grindelwald. The staff was friendly and breakfast was served from 7 to 9 am, but since I couldn't eat it because I was sleeping, they even called me at 9 am to ask. They told me to wait a little longer and told me to come eat, but they ran out of egg omelettes and I didn't even ask for them, but I was impressed by the service where they made a plate for me and brought it to me. I couldn't believe that this 3-star hotel was priced at this price.

I ended up booking a hostel bed because it was the only option left, and honestly, I was dreading it beforehand. Little did I know, my 'dream hill' would turn into a 'nightmare hill'! So, I accidentally missed my train in Switzerland (maybe couldn't find it, or got off at the wrong stop), which meant a 30-60 minute delay... and then I missed the hostel's last bus. I thought, '15-minute walk, no big deal, a little uphill is fine.' But it wasn't just a simple uphill, it was an incredibly steep climb! Dragging a 40lb suitcase left me utterly defeated. The front desk guy was busy checking in other guests (yep, only one staff member there), so he couldn't come help me halfway up the mountain until after 10 PM. Big thanks to the Trip.com customer service who kept me company on the phone during that time (it was so quiet on the hillside, not a soul around)... When I finally got to the hostel, I found out it was mixed-gender dorms. First time sharing a room with a bunch of guys, scared me to death! 🤯 The snoring was... well, hilarious haha 😂. Still, I'm grateful. That luggage was seriously heavy; I spent 7 minutes hauling it up the mountain, completely exhausted and burnt out. The next day was my birthday, and the front desk guy, with a bright smile, wished me 'Happy birthday,' as if last night's nightmare had truly just been a dream.

I went on a trip and the memories I stayed here were so good. It's fun to do nothing here. I watched the wonderful view in the morning and evening, and I made coffee, tea and food myself. I had a good time :-)
