2-Star Hotels in Malang City

At the first time, I was trying to stay here cause I just need one night before moving to another hostel since it is afforadble I stay here. I arrived late evening. I was welcomed by Mba Gabriel even she contacted me earlier inform me about the hostel location. I was pragmatismed at the begining cause I thought it's just a normal greetings. But when I arrived it looks like a mom who welcome you back to home. Her sister, Mba Diana is also similar, she welcome me in the afternoon when I came back. I thought she was mba gabriel because I cannot differentiate her and mba Gabriel 😂 Btw I extend here for another 3 nights, because the hostel is very clean, smells good and the bedroom is great. You can experience it later by yourself. I guarantee it. Then after two weeks, I traveled back to Malang and staying here again, I feel I was back home haha. Price is affordable. Service is 5 stars and it is like home ❤️ when I come back to Malang staying here is a must cause you also can discuss with them about many things get direction and advice for food. Excellent value for money accommodation. If you're traveling solo, I'd recommend booking a double room as the price difference isn't much. It's clean and well-maintained. However, it was a bit annoying that some guests, who don't seem to understand the concept of a capsule hotel yet, were being loud and laughing as if it were a regular hotel.

The room was clean and tidy. There were 2 towels. Shared bathroom was also clean and there was hot water. There was water dispenser with hot drinking water in the common area. Staff was super welcoming and helpful. There were some tour options to visit Sewu falls and Bromo volcano. But the internet speed was a bit slow.

Finally really good value for money in Indonesia! After over 3 weeks travelling across the country backpacking solo I finally found this homestay whose actual state coincides with the pictures. The other places I stayed in either were small capsules or dirty and old looking hotels and hostels and I expected the same from this one but it turned out to be a clean and neat place, both room and facilities. The staff doesn't speak great English but their service is good enough. Highly recommended!

The place is very strategic, lots of food around, next to it is also Alfa Mart. Suitable for those of you who are backpackers and don't bring a vehicle. If you bring a private vehicle, the parking is not very suitable because it is narrow, few and hot, even though there is a guard at night. Pretty clean with the competitive prices offered by trip.com. For those of you who bring children, the rooms are quite spacious...so the children have space to play.

The location was very good, everything only a short drive away. Plenty of food options within walking distance, including Rawon Djenggot. The property is an old Dutch house, well maintained and a great place to relax with plenty of seating. Coffee and tea is provided in the mornings. Very comfortable.

Good hospitality. Near terminal bus malang arjosari. Recommended for backpacker. Minus hot water in bathroom.

Everything else was pretty good, but for the shampoo and soap, there were dispensers but no actual product inside. Also, maybe the towels could be updated, as they're starting to feel a bit stiff. And please, check the TV regularly for any issues! 😁 Other than that, it was okay. For the price, it was definitely worth it. Thank you, Safa Guesthouse.

the hostel is located in the historical center of malang. it has many facilities. the administrative staff is very welcoming. i recommend it to all travelers. taxi is easy to find
