MMunianzishiThis was by far the most satisfying guesthouse during our trip to Yangshuo. My friends even praised my booking skills! There were so many options for rooms in Yangshuo that it was overwhelming, but we finally stumbled upon Yihe Xiaoshanju, and it was exactly my style. The guesthouse's greenery is fantastic, perfect for photos! Coincidentally, we arrived during a flood this year, and the owner contacted me in advance to update us on the weather. Luckily, the weather turned out to be super nice, and we even had a barbecue in the evening – it was awesome. The two buildings each have their own unique style, and the courtyard is full of plants and very clean. When we were taking pictures that day, the owner brought out a large mosquito repellent coil, which was very thoughtful.
The barbecue was also delicious. Oh my, I don't even know how to praise it enough, because it was genuinely great. Knowing we had kids, they thoughtfully shared many details with us. The room was amazing, I didn't get a chance to take pictures, but it was very comfortable. Every time we returned, after letting the owner know in advance, they would turn on the air conditioning for us. We stayed for two days, and if we hadn't been short on time, we would have loved to stay a few more. One evening, we went to West Street for a photo shoot in traditional costumes and didn't get back until nearly 11 PM. The owner was still waiting for us – so heartwarming. Finally, a big thank you to the owner. My child accidentally made the sofa a bit dirty, and the owner told me not to worry and to just enjoy ourselves. I was preparing to pay for the cleaning fee, but the owner said it was fine. Truly so warm-hearted.
After all that, I have to say, we'll definitely be back to stay again! I highly recommend it to everyone!

PPacomundoI really can't recommend Chuxin enough! Before coming, I was worried about the location – whether it was close to restaurants and attractions. But then I saw their dog, Laicai, and decided to book it! And it turned out to be surprisingly good!
**Location:** You can easily get here from the distribution center by taxi or ride-sharing.
1: There are restaurants right across and next door to the hotel, so eating is not an issue at all.
2: You get a beautiful mountain view as soon as you open the door, the air is fantastic, and the surroundings are very quiet.
3: It's close to all the attractions and piers; you can even walk to the Jima Pier. Right next to the hotel is an electric scooter rental place, so it's super convenient to rent in the morning and return at night!
**Service:** The owners are incredibly friendly and even gave us some seasonal sugar oranges, which were delicious! The dog is super cute and not afraid of people at all. I wish the owners good fortune (Lai Cai means 'bring wealth' in Chinese)!

GGuest UserThis guest house left me with mixed feelings. Let's start with the good things. The location is super convenient: right in the old town and yet in a relatively quiet area. It's close to the river so you can take a refreshing night stroll, and close to a delicious bakery/café you'll never forget. The atmosphere of the guest house is rustic and cozy, with a laundry room that, despite its very limited space, serves the purpose. There are also cats and a dog you can freely play with. The bed was comfortable for us (a bit on the harder side). The owners speak English so you can easily communicate with them. They are very kind and helpful.
However, a few things about this stay got me extremely disappointed, particularly taking into consideration the positive reviews I had read (which honestly I don't understand where they came from). The room was far from clean. There was a very visible layer of dust. The cushion seats had huge stains and looked dirty overall. The shower room did not get cleaned very regularly, as you can see from the picture. In general everything in the property looked outdated and cheap (wobbly sink taps, doors with huge gaps, that give way to all sorts of bugs and giant spiders..). The fact that the toilet is next to the shower room leaves no room for privacy and makes the toilet floor wet most of the time (this could be solved with a proper shower door instead of a curtain). In conclusion, I was more than happy to leave the property because it did not meet my standards for comfort and hygiene. However, if you don't particularly care about a certain degree of dirt and dust here and there, and are cool with bugs, then you should definitely go for it as you might really like the retro atmosphere of the place.

LlianbaoCHENI'd give this hidden gem of a hotel six stars – every detail makes you want to stay forever. (Originally, I was just passing through Xingping on my way to Yangshuo, but it was so comfortable and perfect for unwinding that I ended up staying two extra days.)
Honestly, it's getting harder and harder to find places, whether hotels or B&Bs, that truly make you feel reluctant to leave. But this stay completely exceeded my expectations, so I have to write a detailed review to capture every heartwarming detail.
First, let's talk about the location and shuttle service. The B&B is in a very quiet area, but you absolutely don't need to worry about getting around. Before check-in, the owner's wife proactively added me on WeChat and sent clear directions, including the exact location and parking instructions. Even more thoughtful, they offer free shuttle service to the nearest ancient town entrance, the food street, or the bus station. Everything is super convenient and close by.
Next, a hot topic for many: charging stations. When driving an electric car, the biggest fear is finding charging stations, especially since some more remote hotels don't have any. But this place has slow chargers directly available. Just plug in and charge! And the owner's wife said they don't charge extra for electricity, which is a genuine act of sincerity. I'd charge it before bed and wake up to a full battery, ready to go without any delay to my itinerary.
Speaking of sleep, I have to mention the 'quiet' aspect. The B&B isn't on a main road; the only sounds around are the wind and occasional bird calls. The room windows are very well soundproofed; once the curtains are drawn, you can barely hear any outside noise. The bedding was also incredibly comfortable, with a choice of soft or firm pillows, and the duvet was fluffy and odor-free. As someone who's usually a very light sleeper, I slept soundly until I naturally woke up both days.
The cleanliness also deserves high praise. From the hallway to the room floor, from the washbasin to the corners of the toilet, there wasn't a single spot of standing water or grime. The towels didn't have that 'damp warehouse smell' at all.
Then there's the owner's wife. She's the most genuinely, un- 'schemingly' warm person I've met. She won't overly disturb you, but if you need anything, she's more attentive than you are. It's that feeling of visiting relatives.
Finally, the food. The B&B offers an à la carte menu, and the ingredients are bought fresh from the market every morning. She said, ”If the ingredients aren't fresh, I wouldn't run this place.” I believe her.
One more detail: (It's super pet-friendly here!)
In short, if you're looking for a B&B with charging stations, thoughtful service, quiet and clean rooms, trustworthy food, and a personal touch, you absolutely can't go wrong with this one. I've already planned my next trip here with my family for a longer stay.

AAlberta FilaferroThis is a wonderful family run guesthouse, where you can enjoy peace away from the hustle of Xingping Old Town. Differently from other types of accommodation we have seen in Dahe Bei village, this guesthouse is a hidden gem with charme and character. The food was excellent and abundant, freshly cooked by the owner herself. The owner picked us up from the Dahe Bei ferry dock, organised an electric moped rental in Dahe Bei (we didn't see many on that side of the river) and gave us plenty of tips and suggestions for where to go and what to do around there, including a sunrise hike to a nearby mountain that you can reach directly from the guesthouse - if you're into hiking (it's a 1h walk uphill through pomelo and orange orchards, followed by a series of staircases), it's a great spot, as we found only a few photographers when we got up there. The ginger cat and the house dog are cute and extremely friendly, adding to the overall wonderful atmosphere. Our room was spacious and clean, with plenty of hot water for showers after a day of hiking or driving around to see the surroundings. If we were to travel again in this area, we would definitely go back. Highly recommended!

The hotel manager didn't talk english but we talked via WeChat and everything went smoothly, he recomended us some trips to do in the Yangshuo area and restaurants to eat. Very recomendable. The rooms were big, clean, confortable and have AC. Totally recommended.
And has a mirror floor on the attic for everybody to take pictures!
I almost forgot, there is a washing machine!

Choosing LINJING HOMESTAY was a great decision! I recommend it 100%.
THE BEST OF A HOTEL: Spacious, beautiful, bright room with all the amenities and impeccable cleanliness. The views were fabulous, the bed was wonderful (large, with a comfortable, soft mattress and very soft sheets), it also had chairs and a table to work at, and the Wi-Fi worked very well. I liked that there were natural plants, too. The bathroom was fantastic. The bidet water gun was a pleasant surprise. You can shower with very hot water and good pressure. Don't worry if the floor gets wet: the water-repellent tiles dry very quickly. There are disposable towels if you want to bathe in the river, but there are also soft cotton towels and non-slip slippers to use in the hotel.
THE BEST OF A HOMESTAY: The hosts are a warm local family. I was touched by their kindness and hospitality. They helped me a lot and always gave me fruit and other nice things to eat. They were always willing to share a cup of tea. They also got me a motorbike at a very good price. And they let me use their washing machine for free. They even drove me to the station and dropped me directly on my bus.
THE SURROUNDINGS: The location is excellent. It is a quiet neighbourhood where local families live. You meet very friendly people all the time. You just have to cross the bridge in front of the hotel to get to the old quarter. Behind the hotel there is a path leading up to a viewpoint that few people know about. The path is very well signposted and is perfect for watching the sunset.

Jjuney22The hotel is sandwiched between a restaurant and a retail shop. Its very noisy as there are many shops and restaurants just outside the hotel. Every day there's loud music till late at night. The room is spacious and overall clean. However, there's no elevator and you have to either drag your luggage up the stairs or get the hotel staff to help you. Plus you need to drag your luggage for 10mins to catch your didi from the main road. The restaurant next to the hotel has 10% discount and their beer battered fish was very yummy. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

GGuest UserThis guesthouse is really great! Even though it's located in an old street, the interior is clean and tidy. The location is excellent, very close to West Street and the Li River. The weather wasn't ideal, but as I was about to head out, I saw a little bird right at the entrance, which felt like a small stroke of luck, haha! I hope to come back someday when the weather is sunny to fully experience the mountains and rivers of Yangshuo. A big thanks to the owner for the itinerary suggestions; I managed to visit so many beautiful spots in a limited time. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time! 😀

GGuest UserThis hotel was the best one I stayed in China and it was also the cheapest one.
The room looked even better than on the pictures, it was very spacious with a large and comfortable bed, a couch and many amenities. The room was modern, clean and well-maintained. The location is perfect, literally in the middle of the busiest street with hundreds of shops, restaurants, bars, attractions, etc. within a 2-minute walk. Despite the central location, the room was quiet and I didn’t hear any noise from the busy street so I could get a good nights sleep.
The receptionists were also friendly, check-in was much faster than at other hotels and they even let me store my luggage there for free after I checked out. Overall highly recommended!
