I have to make this review before the winter ends because this homestay deserves all the guests coming to snow town and snow valley. The hospitality of the owners is beyond imagination, i’m not kidding! They have been extremely helpful in guiding us throughout our travel to snow town and snow valley. We communicate using a translator but it still feels like speaking with a friend. Don’t hesitate to ask questions regarding your trip and the activities that you want to do. As for us, we booked a 3d/2n stay with them. They helped us maximize our itinerary as well. 2 nights before our tour, the owner gave us the number of bus driver. We paid the bus tickets in advance. Day 1 8am-2pm - Bus from Harbin to Snow Town (Xuexiang). We left our luggages in the bus. Tickets bought at the entrance. Dont worry about prebooking. Play in Snow Town until 8pm. 8pm - Bus ride from Snow Town to Snow Valley. The bus driver already knows where to drop us. At the bus stop, we were fetched by car and brought to the inn (~2 min ride). Day 2 9am-4pm Play at Guoxiongling Bear Ridge. For 400rmb/pax, we went up the mountain by snowmobile. We played banana boat drift, snowmobile, some went skiing and a super amazing view! There were also fun group activities! :) Note: The owner gave us drone videos of ourselves and took pictures of us. He also brought his insta360 and gave us copies of group activities videos. You can also use this during the banana boat drift which would look awesome with insta360. The owner is also a licensed ski instructed but my husband didn’t want to ski so there’s that. Haha. We went down around 3pm by snowmobile. At 5pm, we ordered dinner from their restaurant. The Northeastern Fish Stew is amazing!! Try it and thank me later. After dinner we did the hot water in ice trick for Free! We also had fun talking about traveling and sharing stories of our pets, while having tea, frozen persimmons, peach and sunflower seeds. 🥰 Day 3 Departure date. Bus leaves at 6am and 9am. They booked the bus for us back to harbin. I wish we could have stayed longer! Room we stayed had a heated Kang bed. The floor had heating too. Toiletries are complete with indoor slippers. Breakfast serving is large! The room is clean, with water heater. On top of that, it’s 1/10th of the price of snow town accommodations. Snow village offers a unique experience away from the glittery lights and sounds of snow town. It is both peaceful and charming. Thank you Liu Bo and your husband for the awesome stay we had. We stayed at Kuolanting Inn for two nights and had a truly memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by three friendly women. Although language was sometimes a barrier, we always felt well taken care of. The hosts patiently used a translator whenever we needed anything, which made communication smooth and reassuring. Mr. Gang was exceptional. Even before our arrival, he provided us with all the information we needed. He managed all our transportation—from Harbin to Snow Village and back to Harbin—and even arranged our transfers between Snow Village and Snow Town seamlessly. During our stay, he joined us in activities and recorded our moments using his 360° camera, which was such a thoughtful and special touch. The lady who cooked for us was lovely, and every meal she prepared was absolutely delicious. We felt full, comfortable, and genuinely cared for throughout our stay. Would I recommend this place? Certainly,yes!

We stayed here with our 4-year-old child and had a very pleasant experience. The guesthouse area is beautiful and well maintained. There is a front yard where children can freely play in the snow, build snowmen, and enjoy winter activities. When it gets too cold, you can simply go back inside the house without needing to walk far. The guesthouse is also conveniently located near an amusement park and a large stage. In the evenings, there are bonfires and fireworks starting from 7:00 PM, which adds to the overall experience. The amusement park is more than sufficient for young children. For those looking for more adventure, the owner can help arrange activities such as fishing, skiing, snowboarding, or snowmobile rides at nearby locations within about 3 km. There is really no need to travel far to places like Wusongling or Bear Hills, as there are plenty of activities available nearby, and the area is not crowded. The only downside is that there is no ski conveyor or lift, so you need to walk uphill if you want to ski again.

This time I came to Xuegu and traveled through the snow village. I rode horse-drawn climbing and snowmobiles. I played snow drifting. I also played in the Bear Ridge. The boss and the boss lady were very nice. I stayed in this homestay for three consecutive nights. The last night was New Year's Eve. The boss lady arranged for the people staying here to make dumplings together and treated us to dumplings. The boss also bought fireworks for us to set off fireworks together. This year, I spent a different New Year with people from different places. The most important thing is that the boss lady's cooking is delicious. You can't go wrong if you come to Xuegu.

It's clear the owners are putting a lot of heart into running their guesthouse. They were incredibly warm, responsive, and patient with every guest – typical straightforward Northeast China hospitality. We had such a great time there. When we left, they even gave us a little gift: a framed photo of us! My husband and I mostly only have wedding photos together, haha, he usually takes pictures of me when we travel. It was such a small gesture, but it really warmed our hearts. We've traveled to so many cities and stayed in all sorts of hotels and guesthouses, but this is the only one that truly put so much thought into our experience and left us with such a beautiful memory! They added another couple's photo to our collection. Even if we take a lot of photos, we rarely look through them or print them out when we get home, but the owner printed one for us directly so we can display it at home and see it whenever we want. It's so thoughtful and heartwarming! The owner shyly called it a small gift, but to me, it's truly precious! Thank you so much for your care and hospitality. Highly recommend for anyone planning a trip to Snow Valley! Nan Nan Homestay has an unbeatable location, incredibly close to the ski resort. After a tiring day of skiing, you can just turn around and head back to rest. The owner is a local and an excellent guide, providing professional service. The attraction tickets they helped us book were cheaper than online, and they even arranged free shuttle service within the scenic area, so we didn't have to lug our luggage around. The rooms are well-equipped with private bathrooms and complimentary toiletries. The large kang bed can accommodate 2-4 people, making it perfect for family trips or traveling with friends. The 'tie guo dun' (iron pot stew) and 'guo bao rou' (sweet and sour pork) at the restaurant are super authentic, with fresh and flavorful ingredients – incredible value for money. We loved our stay so much, we didn't want to leave!

Every day since leaving Xinfu, I've been missing the sledding hill behind the lodge (it was free and unlimited!). The owner even helps guests take photoshoots like 'splashing water into ice' (he took three amazing shots for me 😎) and 'glowing with colors.' He's an incredibly skilled photographer, and those pictures instantly elevated my social media game. They also organized a session where we all made candied hawthorns together. As an extrovert, being able to chat with everyone like that was just so enjoyable! The owner also led the trip to Wusong Ridge, keeping us entertained, taking photos, and even teaching us how to ski along the way. As someone from the south, I truly got to experience the thrill of playing wildly in the snow! And of course, the accommodation itself was very unique, with a traditional heated *kang* bed, ensuring a deep sleep until morning. Waking up to hot porridge in the morning was just heavenly!

Two families with kids stayed at Ding Shu's place for 4 nights. The rooms were small but very clean. The owner mentioned they plan to expand the guesthouse this year. The owner helped us book everything: round-trip car service, tickets, snowmobiles, and horse-drawn sleds. The prices here are standardized, so no worries about overpaying. The owner drove us to the starting point for the horse-drawn sledding. Ding Shu also personally guided us throughout our trip to Wusong Ridge, accompanying us for all activities and explaining how to get down the mountain. We chose to sled down, which was great fun! Ding Shu even helped us take photos and videos! The auntie's cooking was absolutely delicious!!! And seeing that we were a large group, she gave us extra portions, and the prices were very reasonable!! Since we stayed for many days, the breakfast was a bit repetitive every morning. However, the auntie made us fried eggs and even cooked a bowl of noodles for my friend – thank you! We could also WeChat scan to order milk tea, which the milk tea shop would deliver. They also had fried chicken popcorn and fries. The milk tea was delicious; I ordered it and coffee every day. The owner gave us lots of great tips for our itinerary. Behind the guesthouse, there's a small hill perfect for playing in the snow, with a slope for sledding. The kids played there all day. This whole area belongs to the owner, and it's not crowded, which was perfect for us. When the kids were tired, needed to use the restroom, or wanted to drink water and rest, they could just go back to the guesthouse anytime – it was right there! How convenient! I think this is very important! We played on Yangcao Mountain and then went to Snow Town. We were so glad we didn't stay in Snow Town and decided that next time, we'd sled from the top of Yangcao Mountain back to Snow Valley. We absolutely loved this area of Snow Valley; it has a peaceful, beautiful charm! If we come back to Snow Valley next year, we'll definitely stay here again!!!

This was a surprisingly great stay! The owner was incredibly welcoming, always greeting us warmly whenever we came and went. Their smile was truly infectious. They even came out to meet us and gave us excellent tips on where to eat, drink, and have fun, helping us avoid any tourist traps – absolutely fantastic! The room layout was very well designed and spacious. Most importantly, it was spotless and odorless, feeling just as cozy as our own home.

Cleanliness & Basics: The room was clean and we had hot water for showers. Authentic Experience: We enjoyed feeling immersed in the local neighborhood, with lots of small, inexpensive restaurants nearby. Points for Foreign Families to Note: Language Barrier: The staff were very kind and helpful, but did not speak English. They managed communication using translation apps, which was fine but required patience. Breakfast: The complimentary breakfast was entirely Chinese-style (congee, egg, steamed buns, pickles). Amenities: Don't expect extra facilities like a gym or pool. It's a place to sleep and clean up, not a resort. Local Focus: The inn is clearly geared toward domestic travelers, so room decor is simple and functional. Overall: This inn is an excellent, economical choice if you prioritize a clean room and good value. We were comfortable and would use it again for a budget trip
