I have to make this review before the winter ends because this homestay deserves all the guests coming to snow town and snow valley. The hospitality of the owners is beyond imagination, i’m not kidding! They have been extremely helpful in guiding us throughout our travel to snow town and snow valley. We communicate using a translator but it still feels like speaking with a friend. Don’t hesitate to ask questions regarding your trip and the activities that you want to do. As for us, we booked a 3d/2n stay with them. They helped us maximize our itinerary as well. 2 nights before our tour, the owner gave us the number of bus driver. We paid the bus tickets in advance. Day 1 8am-2pm - Bus from Harbin to Snow Town (Xuexiang). We left our luggages in the bus. Tickets bought at the entrance. Dont worry about prebooking. Play in Snow Town until 8pm. 8pm - Bus ride from Snow Town to Snow Valley. The bus driver already knows where to drop us. At the bus stop, we were fetched by car and brought to the inn (~2 min ride). Day 2 9am-4pm Play at Guoxiongling Bear Ridge. For 400rmb/pax, we went up the mountain by snowmobile. We played banana boat drift, snowmobile, some went skiing and a super amazing view! There were also fun group activities! :) Note: The owner gave us drone videos of ourselves and took pictures of us. He also brought his insta360 and gave us copies of group activities videos. You can also use this during the banana boat drift which would look awesome with insta360. The owner is also a licensed ski instructed but my husband didn’t want to ski so there’s that. Haha. We went down around 3pm by snowmobile. At 5pm, we ordered dinner from their restaurant. The Northeastern Fish Stew is amazing!! Try it and thank me later. After dinner we did the hot water in ice trick for Free! We also had fun talking about traveling and sharing stories of our pets, while having tea, frozen persimmons, peach and sunflower seeds. 🥰 Day 3 Departure date. Bus leaves at 6am and 9am. They booked the bus for us back to harbin. I wish we could have stayed longer! Room we stayed had a heated Kang bed. The floor had heating too. Toiletries are complete with indoor slippers. Breakfast serving is large! The room is clean, with water heater. On top of that, it’s 1/10th of the price of snow town accommodations. Snow village offers a unique experience away from the glittery lights and sounds of snow town. It is both peaceful and charming. Thank you Liu Bo and your husband for the awesome stay we had. We truly appreciate it! Thank you for the surprise and gifts as well! :) We hope to see you soon again!

Food: Coldwater fish, wild vegetable omelets, and handmade dumplings – no need to even leave the premises! Accommodation: Definitely better value than Xuexiang next door, and you get to experience an authentic Northeast Chinese rural atmosphere. Activities: The owner will even join you for fun! You can spend a day at the Snow Valley ski resort, then another day exploring Xiongling. PS: There are also some delightful surprises like horse sledding, water splashing into ice, iron flower performances, traditional Northeast floral padded coats, and even playing with 'silly deer' (roe deer).

I chanced upon Yilaikezhan by chance after knowing the snow town was closed. So I searched for an alternative and after booking, the boss got in contact with me and helped me arranged transport to pick me up from airport to his place. It was a scenic drive and the driver was great and very helpful. We were hungry and he stopped by for us to grab some food before heading to the guesthouse. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the super friendly and hospitable host. The room is neat and tidy, comfortable bed with a heater that i realised by chance. Although we arrived late in Mar and most of the places, the snow has melted, but magically there are some really nice snow scenery for photo taking. There is a really lovely river just infront of the guesthouse, where the view is really enchanting. The food served by the lady host is super delicious but it came it really huge portion that we felt bad not able to finish. We have small stomach to begin with. The next day, the boss drove us into the mountain to see some really nice snow, at least knee height. Really beautiful and along the way, we saw cows. Stopped again for photo taking. It was an enjoyable and unforgettable experience. The stay, the food the hospitality is top notch! This has been the highlight of our trip and would come here for another stay when we make another trip back to harbin.

This inn is conveniently located near the Shanhe Forestry Bureau's business premises, very close to the Xuegu scenic area, making it super easy to get around. The rooms with a 'kang' (heated bed) are warm and comfortable, the owner is very hospitable, and you can enjoy authentic Northeastern farmhouse cuisine here.

Our overall stay was fantastic. The room was warm, and the bedding was exceptionally clean and tidy. The provided toiletries were also quite comprehensive. Staying here for these two days felt more like being at home! There was absolutely no awkward or unfamiliar atmosphere. The landlady was incredibly engaging and treated us like family, with great attention to detail. Their food was delicious and really suited our Southern palates. We finished every single dish, leaving nothing behind. There's genuinely nothing to complain about. Their recreational facilities are also quite extensive. Before coming, I compared many places and even visited other guesthouses in the small mountain village. It's true that their property is larger, and the courtyard scenery is beautiful. Their tractor, in particular, was a lot of fun. This is unique to them; it seems they offer it for guests staying at their place. While we were playing, some guests from other guesthouses also wanted to join in, but they had to pay separately. I'm so glad we stayed here. I asked those two people from another guesthouse, and their room was even more expensive than ours, and apparently, they had nothing to do. Their guesthouse was quite boring. In contrast, staying at Xiao Yun's was much richer in experiences, with entertainment options day and night. In the evening, we could release sky lanterns, play on the tractor, go tubing, and even sing. The atmosphere was excellent. Those who enjoy a lively time can all join in the fun. It's truly highly recommended. This stay definitely deserves five stars!

Highly recommend for anyone planning a trip to Snow Valley! Nan Nan Homestay has an unbeatable location, incredibly close to the ski resort. After a tiring day of skiing, you can just turn around and head back to rest. The owner is a local and an excellent guide, providing professional service. The attraction tickets they helped us book were cheaper than online, and they even arranged free shuttle service within the scenic area, so we didn't have to lug our luggage around. The rooms are well-equipped with private bathrooms and complimentary toiletries. The large kang bed can accommodate 2-4 people, making it perfect for family trips or traveling with friends. The 'tie guo dun' (iron pot stew) and 'guo bao rou' (sweet and sour pork) at the restaurant are super authentic, with fresh and flavorful ingredients – incredible value for money. We loved our stay so much, we didn't want to leave!

Every day since leaving Xinfu, I've been missing the sledding hill behind the lodge (it was free and unlimited!). The owner even helps guests take photoshoots like 'splashing water into ice' (he took three amazing shots for me 😎) and 'glowing with colors.' He's an incredibly skilled photographer, and those pictures instantly elevated my social media game. They also organized a session where we all made candied hawthorns together. As an extrovert, being able to chat with everyone like that was just so enjoyable! The owner also led the trip to Wusong Ridge, keeping us entertained, taking photos, and even teaching us how to ski along the way. As someone from the south, I truly got to experience the thrill of playing wildly in the snow! And of course, the accommodation itself was very unique, with a traditional heated *kang* bed, ensuring a deep sleep until morning. Waking up to hot porridge in the morning was just heavenly!

Two families with kids stayed at Ding Shu's place for 4 nights. The rooms were small but very clean. The owner mentioned they plan to expand the guesthouse this year. The owner helped us book everything: round-trip car service, tickets, snowmobiles, and horse-drawn sleds. The prices here are standardized, so no worries about overpaying. The owner drove us to the starting point for the horse-drawn sledding. Ding Shu also personally guided us throughout our trip to Wusong Ridge, accompanying us for all activities and explaining how to get down the mountain. We chose to sled down, which was great fun! Ding Shu even helped us take photos and videos! The auntie's cooking was absolutely delicious!!! And seeing that we were a large group, she gave us extra portions, and the prices were very reasonable!! Since we stayed for many days, the breakfast was a bit repetitive every morning. However, the auntie made us fried eggs and even cooked a bowl of noodles for my friend – thank you! We could also WeChat scan to order milk tea, which the milk tea shop would deliver. They also had fried chicken popcorn and fries. The milk tea was delicious; I ordered it and coffee every day. The owner gave us lots of great tips for our itinerary. Behind the guesthouse, there's a small hill perfect for playing in the snow, with a slope for sledding. The kids played there all day. This whole area belongs to the owner, and it's not crowded, which was perfect for us. When the kids were tired, needed to use the restroom, or wanted to drink water and rest, they could just go back to the guesthouse anytime – it was right there! How convenient! I think this is very important! We played on Yangcao Mountain and then went to Snow Town. We were so glad we didn't stay in Snow Town and decided that next time, we'd sled from the top of Yangcao Mountain back to Snow Valley. We absolutely loved this area of Snow Valley; it has a peaceful, beautiful charm! If we come back to Snow Valley next year, we'll definitely stay here again!!!

This was a surprisingly great stay! The owner was incredibly welcoming, always greeting us warmly whenever we came and went. Their smile was truly infectious. They even came out to meet us and gave us excellent tips on where to eat, drink, and have fun, helping us avoid any tourist traps – absolutely fantastic! The room layout was very well designed and spacious. Most importantly, it was spotless and odorless, feeling just as cozy as our own home.

As a 'southern spud' experiencing snow for the first time, I was completely charmed by Haitao Inn! The owner helped arrange a carpool from Harbin, which dropped us off right at the guesthouse entrance, so we didn't have to drag our luggage through the snow. The room was clean and tidy, with an independent bathroom that had no strange odors. The heating was so good I only needed a light jacket – no worries about being cold at all. The owner really understood our southern obsession with snow. He took us to a less-known spot on Wusong Ridge for free, patiently taught us how to get those amazing 'water-splash-into-ice' photos, and even used his drone to capture panoramic videos for us. The Northeastern dishes were all delicious, no matter what we ordered blindly – the 'Guo Bao Rou' (sweet and sour pork) was crispy outside and tender inside, and the 'Di San Xian' (stir-fried potato, pepper, and eggplant) was fresh and flavorful. The prices were reasonable and fair. It felt as comfortable as staying at a friend's house. There were no hidden tricks throughout our stay; the service was thoughtful and genuine. For accommodation in Xuegu, I wholeheartedly recommend this place!
