2-Star Hotels in Taichung

Located in the middle of a night market, and right on a main street, it's a convenient location with easy access to taxis. The hotel is in a multi-purpose building, and the signs outside are mainly in Chinese, so it might be a little difficult to find. The building's appearance might be a bit surprising, but the rooms were clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The bathroom was also clean, with a separate toilet and shower. We stayed in a twin room, which was larger than expected. The beds were further apart than in a typical twin room, providing a sense of privacy even for two people (though, since I was staying with a close friend, the distance actually made us feel a little lonely, haha). There are no slippers provided, but you can purchase disposable slippers for 10 yuan at the front desk. There's a spacious common area behind the front desk with a refrigerator and a kitchenette. It gets plenty of sunlight, so it would be nice to bring in drinks to enjoy there.

First time staying here. The room and bathroom were clean. The self-check-in process was a bit slow as only one of the two machines was working. Parking was an issue; we had to find a nearby parking lot or street parking, which was hard to come by. It's very close to the MRT station, about 100 meters away. However, there aren't many dining options in the immediate vicinity.

1. **Location** It's about a 10-minute walk from Taichung TRA Station. On the way to the hotel, you'll find Miyahara and the Fourth Credit Union, which are convenient stops. I heard the night market is a bit far, but I didn't go this time, so I'm not sure. 2. **Facilities** I stayed in a single room, and it was decent enough. The bedding was clean and nice, and the mattress was comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, and I was able to use the refrigerator. The bathroom was small, but understandable considering it's for one person. Also, there's a washing machine on each floor. You can get one laundry detergent capsule for 20 NT at the front desk on the first floor. It says you need to pay 40 NT for the washing machine, but if you put in 10 NT, it gives you 20 minutes. I only had a day's worth of laundry, so it took about 40 minutes, making 20 NT seem like the right amount. 3. **Breakfast** When checking in, they'll ask about breakfast. You just choose one option and a time. The next morning, when you go down at the chosen time, it'll be ready, and they'll give you your selected menu item and a banana. For drinks, I saw coffee, milk tea, etc. 4. **Other** The staff were friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. Also, there's a pharmaceutical museum on the first basement floor that's good for a quick look. The price was a bit higher because it was the weekend, but I'd like to stay here again on a weekday for a more affordable rate.

A bit far from mrt. It's a very hip hotel. Love the open area at highest floor. Love that every floor has water dispenser. Love that the room is spacious. But shower area damn weird. Is glass panel with black curtains. Arrived ard midnight cos flight delay, bus delay. Receptionist kept engaging with me to know my whereabouts so that they can pass the room card to me personally. But since I was arriving after their working hours, they left it in a convenient place for me to receive. Very thoughtful. Very thankful for free instant noodles cos I was so hungry. But... it's far from mrt so be prepared to walk a distance.

Bathroom was not that clean but the kitchen was really disgusting with bugs in the coffee in the morning, you have to pay for leaving your luggage In a locker before the checkin, no USB/ USB-c to charge your phone you need the Taiwanese adapter, I had to buy it for one night since during my two weeks trip all the other hostels I’ve stayed at did have a USB-C one. The self check in did not work with my name but the staff did help me by changing something in the system.

I had a really pleasant stay at Migo Hotel. The hotel is very clean and the room is quite spacious, which made it really comfortable to relax and rest after a long day. The atmosphere feels calm and cozy, perfect for a stress-free stay. The location is also very convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants, shops, and public transportation. It made getting around the city very simple and enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the check-in process was smooth and quick. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay here and would definitely come back again in the future. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing place to stay.

The hotel is very clean, the space is very comfortable, the sound insulation of the floor is not very good, there is no problem with the others.

The room was quite small, and both beds were sagging. However, the room was very clean and smelled nice, and the soundproofing was decent.

Overall, I had a good experience staying at this hotel. The location is convenient, the room was clean, and the service was friendly. For the price, it’s definitely reasonable, and I’d be happy to come back again if I visit Taichung in the future. The only downside was the water temperature in the bathroom — it was quite hard to adjust, and tended to be a little too hot. It would be great if that could be improved for a more comfortable stay.

!!TAKE NOTICE IF YOU WANT TO BOOK!! The address was !!! No. 23, Lane 101, Zhishan Rd, Xitun District, Taichung City, 407!!! I dunno why the boss still not updating as many people already complain the address but still It was good location from Feng Chia night market & there was no lobby staff for it just security staff. So any goes wrong or issues need to contact the boss. The room was average but need to improve the blanket as inside was messed up like a ball, so, need to change it. The bedroom was very very comfortable. The toilet is a bit old for the door & the soap handle already broken down. Overall, it was still ok & reasonable price for budget homestay. We will book again but need more improve the toilet
