Hotels with Rooftop Pools in Phi Phi Islands

"A nice hotel that’s really close to the beach at the back of the place. Unfortunately we didn’t have good experiences with the food or the service. For example at breakfast they served shrimp fried rice with the poop sack still attached and a lot of flies were around the fruit in the mornings. Also the day before we were due to leave I had one of the house keeping staff drop an iron off at my room. Without hearing an answer came into my room and opened the bathroom door where I was showering. I had music on at the time so I’ve no idea happened and I asked her to leave immediately. I went to the door a minute later to get the iron and she also left a set of keys with me- no idea why or why yay they were for but she appeared 2 hours later asking for them so I hope they weren’t for the surrounding rooms! The view from the pool at the back and the fruit shakes were really good but I wouldn’t stay here again"

"This is our 3rd time at the resort in recent years and it remains in our opinion the best higher end resort on the island.   It’s tucked away right in the corner of the main beach which means there is no passing traffic and a lot less day trippers about.   The rooms are lovely bamboo bungalow with en suite shower and although not very big there is plenty of space for what you need.  The beds are large and comfortable and the air con works well.   The whole setting is beautiful with the bungalows along sandy paths and surrounded by gardens and trees.   The resort has an amazing huge pool and more than enough sun loungers.  Breakfast is superb with lots of choice and it’s very fresh.  The bakery section in particular is excellent.  The only negative - and this is not at all the fault of the resort - is the noise at night from the parties at the other end of the beach.  Despite being a really long way away the noise travels across the bay / beach and it goes on until about 3:30am.   They provide you with ear plugs but we always take our own better ones with us which are more sound resistant.  Soundbloc putty earbuds if anyone is interested!  With these in you hear nothing and the resort is absolutely perfect.   We will be back i am sure"

"The biggest plus is the location. It's a 400m walk from the pier. The room is average, nothing fancy. Small but cozy. The bathroom is also tiny, you can't really move around if there are two people. The shower is just a hole, but there's hot water. It's a standard room. The grounds are beautiful. But the pool, that's just fantastic! There's a big pool and a smaller one for kids. The views from the pool out to the sea are also great."

"We had a truly wonderful stay at Chaokoh Phi Phi Hotel & Resort. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our visit. The hotel is perfectly located on the island—just a short walk from the pier and surrounded by great restaurants, which made exploring Phi Phi both easy and enjoyable. Our room offered a beautiful garden view, and being near the pool added to the relaxing atmosphere. The rooms themselves were spacious, comfortable, and kept spotlessly clean, which made our stay even more pleasant. Everything felt well maintained and thoughtfully arranged. Overall, this hotel provided the perfect balance of convenience and tranquility. "This was a wonderful place to stay. Amazing views and friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet (if you get the choice, it's worth signing up for it). Cats roaming the property and island; great if you're a cat lover like me- if not, no worries, they pretty much leave you alone unless you seek their attention. The only drawback I have is that no matter how many people stay in the room, you get only one key. This is because the key is inserted into a ”socket: that powers the air and lights. Conservation is important for resources on the island. They will, however, let your other roomies in any time, day or night, by stopping by the front desk. If you're not used to it, be aware that Thai beds in general are very firm. Not much padding."

"This hotel is quite clean, but there's a damp, musty smell. A bit of ventilation makes it acceptable, though. The pool is very clean and well-maintained. It's very close to Tonsai Pier, about a five-minute walk. They'll let you check in early if a room is available, and you can also store your luggage. Plus, they didn't ask for a deposit, which was nice. Getting to the main street is super easy. I'd consider staying here again next time."

"Upon arrival, things got off to a bit of a rough start. Room 210, while advertised with a sea view, had a very limited one, which wasn't a huge deal. The most unpleasant part was the leaky pipe by the toilet. My request to switch rooms with the front desk wasn't successful. After adjusting my mindset and accepting it, it was fine—the water was clean anyway, and I was there to relax, so no need to dwell on it. However, I do recommend the hotel renovates soon, otherwise, it's a waste of such a beautiful location. Summary: 1. The facilities are indeed old. The exterior looks okay, but the interior is too basic. Friends accustomed to five-star hotels might find it hard to adapt. I had to comfort my child and convince myself, but once I accepted it, it was fine. 2. If you want a true, unobstructed sea view room, be sure to communicate with the hotel beforehand. Only rooms starting with '1' will do. The higher the room number, the higher up the hill it is, so be prepared for a cardio workout every time you head back to your room. 3. The service was generally good. I didn't feel any prejudice or mistreatment towards Chinese guests. The porters who helped with luggage were the best. 4. Cat lovers will overlook all the negatives and fall in love with this place, just like my son. He initially complained about everything, but after bribing many cats with cat food to hang out on our balcony, he was very sad to leave."

"We had a great stay overall. The staff were outstanding — friendly, helpful, and professional at all times. The food was excellent with plenty of variety, and the beach was absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. One important note: the bungalows vary a lot in quality depending on the location/number. The 1XX bungalows (101, 102, etc.) are modern, clean, and very nicely designed. However, the 4XX bungalows (409, 410, etc.) are noticeably lower quality — older, less comfortable, and not at the same standard as the rest of the resort. Despite that, we really enjoyed the experience and would recommend the hotel, especially if you can book a bungalow in the 1XX range."

"Wonderful place to be, the area is just amazing. Small villa houses, very nice and a clean, nice pool area. Just drums up 👍🏻 only issue check out at 11am, if you like to use the morning for diving it too less time. Every hour more costs 400 baht. Therefore no 5 stars."

"Deluxe Room: Quite basic, a bit dated, and there was a lot of mold in the bathroom. BUT! Good soundproofing, a new air conditioner, a quiet location, and the pool is large and clean with spacious grounds. There's even a horse you can feed! Excellent value for money. 👍"
