Hotels with Rooftop Pools in Phi Phi Islands

"DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL! The details provided in the description are very misleading. There is no reference to the fact that the bedrooms are swamped by club music and base thumping between 20:00pm and 2:30am every day. So severe is the noise pollution that rooms are provided with complementary earbuds. However, you can still hear the music and thumping noise with those in. The main purpose of a hotel is to provide a comfortable place to sleep. Given that the rooms are not soundproofed, I found it impossible to sleep until the early hours of the morning for the three nights I stayed at this establishment. Having raised a complaint with the manager, I was moved, for the last night, to a bungalow, which is supposed to have less noise pollution. That is true, but the music and thumping are still to be heard, and kept me awake until around 2:30am. Whilst the source of the nuisance is not the hotel, what has frustrated me the most is that the disturbance - which is clearly a regular occurrence - was not disclosed in the marketing. Of course, by doing so they would most certainly put customers like me off, but at least the hotel would have been honest, and set fair expectations. I would never stay at this hotel again, and recommend that you all avoid it!"

"I booked the cheapest room, but it still came with central air conditioning, which was nice. The pool was also quite large. The only downside was that there seemed to be some construction or renovation happening outside. It was very convenient to walk out for meals or to the pier. After a day out at sea, coming back to sleep there at night was perfect. It's great value for money. I didn't take any pictures of the room, so here are some from Maya Bay instead."

"An okay place to stay with a million $ view from the rather splendid pool area.  The staff were friendly and accommodating and the rooms were spacious and comfortable.  However, we frequently experienced drainage smells in the room which wasn’t very nice. The hotel staff reaction to this was to spray air freshener to mask the smell 🤔  In addition, the TV in the room did not work and thus couldn’t be fixed for us and the rooms looked a little tired.  All in all, an okay place to stay for a short stay with amazing views and a great location for bars and restaurants."

"This hotel is a classic case of stunning views but seriously lacking service and management. There's a complete disconnect between different departments and internal management is a mess. At lunch, the staff were sitting at the best sea-view table with a fan blowing directly on them, while guests had no fan! 😂 After we pointed it out, they turned it towards us. The location and views are definitely the strong points; the room facilities are good, with hillside sea views and a great restaurant view. However, the front desk and management are totally out of sync: senior management said there was a free speedboat shuttle, but the front desk said no. It's clear there's no internal training or communication. The dining issues were even worse: I found a fly in my Tom Yum soup, and they just refunded the money without any apology or explanation. Breakfast also had flies everywhere, and their measures to combat them were completely inadequate. The in-room phone ☎️ wasn't working, so I had to use the hotel app to message them for things like calling a car (due to the hillside location) or extra towels. The responses were a bit problematic and inconsistent."

"First, the pros: – Convenient location – close to the ferry. – Friendly staff: they helped carry our luggage and allowed us to check in early. Now, the cons: – The hotel is clearly in need of renovation. – We were given a windowless room, despite windows being shown in the photos. It was very difficult to be in the room without natural light. – The air conditioning didn't work properly: it blew hot then cold air intermittently. – The bed was uncomfortable. – The spoons in the room were so old and tarnished that they were unpleasant to use – we didn't even bother making coffee. – The toilet seat was yellowed with age. We're not picky people, but unfortunately, we were disappointed this time."

"This place wa perfect for us for our one night stopping in phi phi. The pool is more of a dip pool but the apartment opened straight out into it which was wonderful. The bed was big but the amenities are basic - this is fine on phi phi as there’s lots to go out and see and do anyway so you’re not really in the hotel. The bathroom was a little unclean but the room itself was perfectly clean and tidy. Generally very good value for money. It’s a 5 min walk from the port which makes it super easy and beaches are 5 min walk in either direction - lots of places to eat and drink in the area as it’s in the center of the town."

"The biggest plus is the location. It's a 400m walk from the pier. The room is average, nothing fancy. Small but cozy. The bathroom is also tiny, you can't really move around if there are two people. The shower is just a hole, but there's hot water. It's a standard room. The grounds are beautiful. But the pool, that's just fantastic! There's a big pool and a smaller one for kids. The views from the pool out to the sea are also great."

"Check in was a breeze with luggage handlers helping carry your luggage from the pier to the hotel. The reception girls are really lovely and helpful with whatever request you might have(like booking boats to your next destination), just remember to say please and thank you(kohp khun ka/krap). The hotel is the last one on the pier side bay, therefore is really quiet, even now in high season. The down low is that you have to walk 20minutes to restaurants and bars on 30+ degree heat + high humity,so expect to arrive sweating both ways. The hotel itself is probably 40/50 years old and seems that never been renovated, the inside of the rooms need freshing up,paint etc...an overall renovation of the whole building. Although the rooms were clean, aircon was good and our room with the pool access(1 of 3) had great views from the bay. Pool was also clean and it was at a good temperature. If you are here for just a couple of days it is fine. Breakfast is basic but they have an egg station, so you can order your eggs however you prefer. And the black coffee was great too(better than other hotels we stayed in Bangkok/Krabi). The hotel staff were very kind to supply my wife with Flying Rabbit(a local thai version of gaviscon/diarrhoea medicine) which helped a mild food poisoning combined with charcoal tablets. Moreover, the hotel has a little private beach with sun lounges at the very end of the bay, perfect for chilling when you don't have any boat trips booked for the morning. Be aware that it becomes shady after around 3pm because its so close to the mountain. Also there were monkeys signs on your doors to keep them lock to prevent curious monkeys of rummaging through your stuff but we haven't seen any during our 3 night stay. Would I stay at this hotel again? Probably not unless completely renovated:, too far from the restaurants and bars and very old/tired. Make sure you use some walking shoes when going out because you definitely gonna hit that 10000 steps mark."

"The breakfast was amazing. The grounds are beautiful with pretty flowers and lots of cute cats, however, finding our room was tough. And the internet didn’t work. As well, the bathroom was not the cleanest. I had to walk to the front counter in a towel and pass a drunk guy who literally wanted to jump my bones, because in order to reach the front you must scan the QR code which is not possible without the internet access. Anyway, the front desk staff were great in going above and beyond to replace the kettle which didn’t work initially. They also hooked us up to the alternate internet that always works on the ground and that I believe the staff use. And the front desk person also got us the dental kit as this doesn’t automatically come with the room or at all. The agent secured us the dental kit that I assumed comes with a 200 + a night room because I asked and to compensate for all the things that were not up to par with the room. The sheets had some rips or rouging from wear and tear I noticed when I got under the covers. Overall, the breakfast the next morning made it all worth it. And yes it is really that good. You get the best Thai dishes, western dishes and more for breakfast unlimited and the chef is top tier. Do what you will with this information. And there were NO roaches or lizards, only a few ants near the kettle that didn’t work lol."

"A small hotel with a convenient location. The room lacked mugs for tea, there were only 2 glasses. There's a kettle and a drying rack for clothes. Shampoo and shower gel are only provided at check-in, but towels were changed daily. They only provide 2 brown towels and one for your feet. There's no convenient place to wash sand off your feet before entering the room. The bedding is decent, with two pillows per person. Some pillows are firm, some are soft. We didn't even turn on the TV, as we only slept in the room. The hotel grounds could use more greenery to be more visually appealing. For the price, it's probably an okay hotel. We used the pool once when we arrived before check-in. We were checked in strictly after 2 PM."
