Azores Youth Hostels - Pico
"The staff of the hostel were so friendly and helpful. They were informative. The building itself has had history before. Staff provided good suggestions for my travel plan. If the hostel has a kitchen, it will be perfect. If I travel Pico again , I must stay here again"
Alma do Pico - Nature Residence
"This is a nice property. We had one of their villas which was a big size with a large living room/kitchen which was well stocked and nicely furnished. Two others in our party had one of their cabins and they weren't overly impressed as it was simply "functional". The bathroom needs a bit of maintenance and some hooks to hang things on but it is perfectly acceptable. You won't have to worry about plug sockets as I had 16 in my bedroom and I wasn't even in the master bedroom. What let's them down slightly is their breakfast offering which is very small and not that enjoyable. However, in the evening that same restaurant becomes Atmosfere and the food they offer is excellent. The property is not too far from town but you will need a car to get here."
Porto Velho Boutique Hostel
"Coay and welcoming place with a nice and helpful Team! Very well located, clean and quiet:) very much recommended ....."
Vinhas do Calhau
"Absolutely AVOID this accommodation. The friendliness of the staff is unquestionable, the availability of the employees exists, but the GREED of the owner is immense and harms all customers, just to earn a few more euros. With a boat canceled due to bad weather and unable to get to the island, I asked for a refund on the accommodation. Despite all the sympathy from the employees, the boss denied this situation, as he had nothing to do with it. A SHAME, it is tourist agents and hoteliers like these who are doing harm to tourism in the Azores and, like many on the island of Pico, very celebrated, but who then become arrogant towards their customers, without realizing that without their customers they are nothing, they end up for wasting away, blaming the employees, the authorities or the isolation... but it's nothing like that, it's the attitude of the owner and owners like this that are bad for Tourism in Portugal. IT SHOULD CLOSE!"
Pico Vineyards - by Unlock Hotels
"Exceptional location and setting. Severe lack of staff training for a hotel of this standard."
Hotel Caravelas
"Nice hotel, excellent quality/price, 5* service and comfort, very good breakfast, with a lot of variety and very good products. The only thing they could try to improve is the internet, which doesn't get a good signal in the rooms. On the rest floor (reception, breakfast room, bar, etc.) you get a good signal, but in the rooms the signal is very weak. But regardless of that, the hotel is very pleasant, as is its staff. I recommend it."
Sara Village
"The Sara Village presents itself as a widespread hotel, large, clean rooms with a common room for breakfast etc equipped with everything necessary. In the garden there is a patio with an amazing sea view. Miguel is an exceptional host, we couldn't find an available car, but thanks to him the next day the problem was solved by car with private guide for the whole day, kind and very helpful."
AL NOVAVISTA
"I was a little disappointed that this is not, in fact, a hotel. I think I might have been the only person staying there, I didn't see anyone else except for about 2 seconds in the breakfast room. The only contact I had was by email, and all the instructions were only sent the morning I was traveling, so I didn't receive them until I got to Pico. The room was comfortable enough and very clean. But lots of things are dated. The internet was non-existent. The air conditioner and bathroom fan were both ancient and made a lot of noise. The breakfast was only meh, but the view from the breakfast room was lovely. The location is good, close to town and in a quiet area. I didn't spend much time at the hotel and it was too cold for a swim, but I imagine that would be great when the weather is warmer as the pool also has an amazing view. It's worth it for the price."

Adegas do Pico
"We spent 3 nights ar Casa da Vinha. It is a chrming old wine house that has been converted into a rental property. It has all the amenities you require. Great for 2 people. The management are lovely and supplied basket with bread, jam and tea Being a stone house it does get chilly but they supply a heater for the kitchen and there is some type of wood pellet burning stove in the bedroom upstairs. We did not use that. There is also an air conditioner in the bedroom. We had a lovely time there but I must advise the the house does have a musty smell I suspect that there is nothing that can be done about that. The views from the back yard are amazing"
35th Atlantic View
"Really this is a 3.5* review. This is a good choice that has the potential to be great. The owners need to figure out what they want this place to be and plan accordingly. The area is really nice. It's out of the way without being too remote. There is an easy to use parking area just off the road. We had a second floor sea view room. The room itself was nice. There were however some flaws. There was little ventilation with the doors closed. Also, when it rained, water seemed to leak in through every door and window, making it impossible to feel dry. My number one complaint is that there was no fridge in the room. Pico makes some of the best white wines in the world, and to have a balcony with an ocean view makes sipping wine the most natural pastime. The fact that there's nowhere to chill wine is inexplicable. I can understand not wanting to promote a party atmosphere, but I consider access to a fridge to be a basic requirement. The breakfast was fine, but bordered on basic. Perhaps another fresh element would elevate it. There are some fine restaurants nearby and a good grocery store only five minutes drive away. Truthfully, I would stay here again, but I think the owners are missing a golden opportunity to create something sensational."
Casa do Comendador
A Casa do Ouvidor
"The accommodation was even more beautiful than on the photos. Nicely equipped, clean house, with a pool and a stunning view! The host was very helpful and kind. The perfect place for a quiet holiday on the Azores - only a walk away from the natural pool by the sea."
