Staying at this guesthouse in Barkol was great; the location was fantastic, with all sorts of delicious food just steps away. The rooms were spacious and impeccably clean, and it was even suitable for pets. However, since it was just outside the courtyard on the ground floor, it felt a bit open at night, making me feel slightly insecure. Also, the pillows were too low; I woke up with a terrible neck ache, which kept me tossing and turning all night. Aside from those two issues, everything else was perfect. It was a comfortable experience with a few minor drawbacks—that's my honest opinion! 😊

When I arrived at the hotel, the room was already reserved and the check-in was very fast.

You can see the Milky Way when you turn off the lights at night. The hotel is just behind the Bari Visitor Center, and the stroll is just to the sunset of the old Bari Lake, which is beautiful. The little girl at the front desk is warm and polite.

I booked a business standard room, but when we arrived, the room had already been assigned. I don't know why we were given a triple bed, but judging from the bed layout, it used to be a standard room… The receptionist was probably working too late… Her attitude was typical of an old-fashioned guesthouse receptionist from a TV drama—please ignore that… It's convenient to eat across the street… I recommend ”Jinliang Beef Noodles” across the street. The noodles are freshly kneaded, the owner is very nice, the prices are very reasonable, and they also have stir-fried dishes. We had both breakfast and dinner there.

The homestay is next to the academy and the ancient Great Wall. It is estimated that the environment may be better after all the construction. I don’t know if it’s a newly opened homestay. I feel that the smell in the room is a bit strange. It is also recommended to add some cabinets and tables in the room. There is no place to put the items. There is also health to be strengthened... I watched a beautiful sunset that day.
