The best hostel of my entire trip! From the cleanliness of the rooms and comfortable beds to the kitchen and the wonderful staff—everything was perfect! I spent 11 nights at this hostel and didn't want to leave at all. At Oversleep Cat Ba, I was an important guest. my bed linen was changed every three days (or sooner at my request). There were always fresh towels at reception. Delicious food and the nicest chefs. At reception, you can resolve any issue. From renting a bike to withdrawing cash (I transferred money to a Vietnamese bank via Q-code and they kindly gave me the entire amount in cash) No stress or complications. I extended my reservation several times and didn't have to change beds; they organised everything for me. Sensitive and responsible. Papa - here are my words of love from the bottom of my heart, for your care. For every morning and evening When I came to the pool bar, I always smiled when I saw you! Thank you for your kindness. For making me feel at home away from home (this is not just a slogan, it is the motto of the entire hotel. The rooms and beds - a separate love Nowhere else have I found such comfortable and ergonomically correct beds Not only a locker, shelf, lamp and socket, but also a large amount of space on the side of the bed where you can conveniently lay out your things (and hide your backpack in a large locker under the bed) No mess and always clean. Clean and functional showers and toilets. Plenty of space, no unpleasant odours. Importantly, there is space to work. The bar has enough space for fun evenings and for work. Uninterrupted Wi-Fi, excellent speed. The hostel observes quiet hours. For breakfast, I always asked for extra bread with my meal, and I was never refused. In the end, I didn't even have to ask; the staff knew me and offered me bread themselves. So nice! Thank you! My wife and I went on a free and easy trip to Cat Ba Island in Vietnam. After looking online, we found this place to be really great. The hotel is clean and hygienic, just like back home in China. Most importantly, it's brand new, having opened in 2026. It's a villa-style hotel, very close to Cat Ba town, just over 1 kilometer away. At night, you can go out to buy seafood and have it cooked. If you want to tour the island, you can rent a motorbike from the owner for 150,000 VND per day. The owner also prepared breakfast for us and was incredibly friendly. For Chinese travelers, this is definitely the top choice – you won't regret it. Chinese people don't trick Chinese people!

We had a great stay at Napoli Hostel and would highly recommend to anyone looking for accommodations in Cat Ba. Gem the owner was super helpful. She was able to help get our laundry done in 3 hours. The room was just has described, very clean spacious main area with separate bench area by the door for our luggage and to put on shoes. We didn’t need the mini fridge but appreciated that it was available in the room. There was a small desk area to do some work or put on makeup, that was a nice touch. And we were surprised at how good the drying mechanism in the wet room (bathroom) was. In such a wet climate that was nice to have. The room came with a small balcony outdoor area in front of the room but we also did not use this. Lastly breakfast had many nice options, from western to local. It comes with many drink choices as well. Overall wonderful experience and value for money.

Review for View Point Anh Quan Hotel, Cat Ba I recently had the pleasure of staying at the View Point Anh Quan Hotel in Cat Ba, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The hotel is situated in a quiet area, which provided a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the pier and close to Cat Co beach, making it convenient for sightseeing and enjoying the local attractions. The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, with stunning views from both my balcony and the rooftop cafe. Waking up to such breathtaking scenery was truly a highlight of my trip. The staff at the hotel were exceptional; they were friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to ensure that my stay was comfortable. They helped arrange transportation from Hanoi to Cat Ba and even organized a fantastic day trip to Ha Long Bay for me. Breakfast at the hotel was enjoyable with a variety of options available, including made-to-order eggs that were delicious. The overall atmosphere of the hotel felt welcoming and homely, which made my stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend View Point Anh Quan Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay in Cat Ba!

The hotel is located in a fantastic and beautiful place, in a small village surrounded by mountains. It is very quiet and peaceful here. The rooms meet all the basic requirements, the staff is very kind and helpful, and the food is delicious.

The hotel was very nice. Great location and view (sunset from the rooftop bar is fantastic). If it wasn't for the construction in front of the hotel, this hotel would be the bees knees. It is close to our tour operator and mini markets. The staff so helpful and informative. Jong, one of the managers, organised a taxi for us to take us from our tour in the harbour to our speedboat to take us to Ha Long City. The speedboat driver organised the taxi driver to take us to our hotel in Ha Long City. It was well organised for us at half the price that we paid to get to Cat Ba Island. We were taken advantage of in the beginning of the Cat Ba Island adventure as unknowledgeable tourists, but we were treated so well on our departure trip from Cat Ba Island thanks to Jong.

The guy at the front desk was very nice. Motorbike rental was 100k. There were many places to eat nearby, but breakfast was no longer available recently.

I needed a place to stay when the ferries closed due to a typhoon and this was a neat spot to find on short notice. The comment I am making is based on the amount of money being paid for Vietnamese standards so the room has everything you need and the bed is comfortable, however I felt the blanket was quite thin. The menu for food was only in Vietnamese. There are snacks and drinks in the room that are cheap, but I was hesitant on the bottled water when I had seen it was opened already and I wondered if it was just refilled instead of being a new bottle? The reception staff were very kind, helpful and lovely to speak with. The breakfast was small in variety and the English Breakfast I got was what I feel a way to save costs by giving ham instead of bacon? Again only due to the price being paid did I expect something of better quality in some regards. However I am grateful for a place to stay when I was stuck. There are restaurants nearby, a very good western bar with good food and lovely local vietnamese seafood spots. It is in walking distance to the beach.

Pay attention to the counter staff, obviously already booked and issued tickets, when you arrive at the on-site counter, you will say that you have to pay once you see the order, and you have insisted on more than 10. It took a minute to say that I saw the order, but I didn’t pay or you have to pay once. I was deadlocked over there and ignored her. I finally said I saw it. But the order is all written on it. I still pretend to die. I don’t want to admit that I have always wanted to pay again on the spot. As long as there is a ticket, I will insist on not giving up. The other party can’t get it. I can only say that the counter staff wants to kill 2 times. The feeling is really bad. I will choose another home next time.
