Amazing
GGuest UserThis is a historic location and is very lovely. Unfortunately it sits near the interstate so it was not a quiet night of rest but wasn’t intolerable. The bed was very comfortable so I was able to sleep well in spite of the traffic noise. This is not a typical hotel…there is no lobby or room service so come prepared with your own snacks, drinks, etc. Don’t get me wrong…I loved staying there and will definitely be going back!

Great
MMartinI needed a room for one night because I was attending a show in Downtown Mobile. After reading reviews and looking at the location (which was very close to the venue), I went with the Candlewood. It was very nice, especially for the cost. There was a mini kitchen in the room with a full sized refrigerator, two stove burner, a microwave, and a sink. The bathroom was ver nice and had a walk in shower with sliding glass doors. My room had a great view of downtown. Oh and the mattresses ..... oh my gosh! I was tempted to take the covers off to see the brand! They were so cozy and comfortable. Also, the staff was so great! Matthew is who I spoke to at the front desk and he was absolutely phenomenal! I will definitely be booking a room here again when I travel to Mobile.

Very Good
GGuest UserWhen I arrived, the front desk told me they had a new system which doesn’t have my booking information, and it took me about half an hour to check in. The room is big with a resting area. However, there was no towels, no tissue box, no soap bar, the conditioner and the body wash bottle were both empty. I grab the towels from the cleaning lady in another room. The front dest told me they’ll refill my shower supplies later, but nobody did.

GGuest UserThe location was great. Very cool that you live in a tower. The breakfast is not bad and is cooked to order. Also the parking is free and right next to the hotel. The best part is that three steps away you have an awesome Mardi Gras museum. I highly recommend the museum.

MMadge333Staff are lovely, hotel is super nice, slight problem it’s in a very sketchy area, drug dealers outside doing trade. Yes the sercurity is good, and I felt safe, but it’s the area that’s sketchy - don’t walk out at nighttime.

Good
GGuest UserEverything was fine but during breakfast, supplies were running low and no one around that we could inform they needed to restock. Eventually someone came out and replaced the plates/bowls/utensils.

CCrescenziStayed in town to attend mardi Gras ball. Hotels originality check to stay were sold out….worried was going to be disappointment since wasn’t one of first choices but was not at all ☺️…..Staff very friendly helpful even happily took some “great” photos for our group. Pleased with complementary breakfast had to offer(never know what “hotel breakfast” will mean sometimes lol)
6.5/10
GGuest UserThe staff and the front desk are very respectful and helpful at times of needing anything they responded promptly and with a smile I will be staying with them again and I recommend it a good place to stay and rest breakfast and cleanliness.
6.3/10
GGuest UserGood choice for saving budget.
The room was clean , no musty no smoking smell, a little bit old but outside the room the walkway and stairs were dirty. The location is good. I checked in at almost midnight but the woman was so nice I asked to look in the room first to make sure it was clear and no smoking smell and no musty smell. Breakfast Breakfast is not that good but it is understandable for a 2 star hotel.
4.5/10
GGuest UserThe staff is good but there isn't a gym or pool as advertised.
