The room is spacious but has a musty smell. There are no toiletries provided, and the door lock doesn’t feel very secure.
The most disappointing part of our stay—and something I strongly advise everyone against—is booking a tour through the hotel. Before purchasing, we specifically asked if the tour included equipment, lunch, and entrance fees, and the hotel assured us that everything was covered. However, upon arriving at Sumilon Island, we had to pay for lunch, rent equipment, and even cover the entrance fee ourselves.

The resort is nestled in a stunning location, surrounded by clear blue waters that create a perfect backdrop for relaxation. The tranquil environment made it an ideal choice for a quick getaway.
The resort itself is well-maintained, with lovely landscaping and comfortable amenities. The serene setting really enhances the overall experience, making it a great place to unwind for a two-night stay.
One of the highlights of my visit was the friendly staff. From the reception to the poolside attendants, everyone was warm and welcoming. The pool guys were particularly nice, adding to the relaxed vibe of the resort.
However, I did find that the food needs significant improvement. While the dining options were ample, the quality and variety fell short of expectations. To truly enhance the guest experience, I believe that more attention to the menu and food preparation is necessary. This aspect would play a crucial role in my decision to return.
Another area that requires attention is the communication regarding trips and activities. Unfortunately, we often found ourselves headed to the wrong locations, only to be redirected to another part of the island. Clearer information about where to go for excursions would be greatly beneficial for guests.
In summary, Bluewater Sumilon Island Resort is a beautiful destination with a relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. However, improvements in food quality and clearer communication regarding activities are essential for a more satisfying experience. With these adjustments, I could see myself returning, as the stunning views and peaceful environment are truly commendable.

GGuest UserIt is very close to the Whale Shark Point. You can buy tickets directly at his hotel. The fare is 100p per person. It is recommended to book tickets at his house. Don't ask why you go to the queue and try it out. The room is relatively large, we booked a twin room with children and the two are double beds, and there is no extra charge. The room has a private bathroom with hot water and you can take a bath. After watching the whale shark, come back to take a hot bath and eat breakfast. Duma was still relaxed and comfortable

GGuest UserWhen I arrived at the local area, I saw the house there, and then there would be extra surprises in this cabin. We arrived at night, and there was a bakery in front, so the warm lighting, there was a small yard with lights, which was actually quite good. The most surprising thing is actually to be hygienic. Although the facilities in the room are the level of the room for ordinary people, the floor and bed bathroom are very clean. This price is clean. The bed is also super big, two big and two small are completely fine. Then the little brother was reliable and enthusiastic, and arranged for 100 small cars to pick up, queue up, and get things properly. We got up at 4 o'clock and set off. It was the first batch of water and watched the sunrise on the sea in Meimeida 👍.
Disadvantages: You need to bring your own mineral water, slippers, toothbrush. Shampoo shower gel toothpaste upgraded bag, after watching the whale shark back to the hotel to sleep because it is a bit noisy near the road.

AAndré MII arrived a day before my whale shark encounter. The bus ride from Cebu took 4 hours there and 4.5 hours back. I didn't want to spend the whole day on a bus, so I decided to stay overnight at this hotel, and I'm very glad I did. I didn't expect much from the hotel, having read the reviews, but it turned out to be perfectly fine for my needs. It even had an ocean view, and they didn't ask for a deposit. I was prepared for the outlets, having bought an adapter in advance. The next day, I went to see the whale sharks at 4:30 AM, as the locals recommended, and was surprised to see hundreds of people already there, brought by tour companies. The organization wasn't entirely clear to me, but unexpectedly, a local volunteer appeared and guided me through the whole process. I got room 35, went back to the hotel, and returned by 6 AM. Then, everything happened. I'm thrilled, I didn't even expect it to be so good.

GGuest UserVery helpful and friendly staff, inexpensive place to stay, definitely getting your money’s worth. Three different types of houses, a white one, a pink one and a few bamboo houses which are pretty cool to stay in, both literally and figuratively. Extremely comfy bed, breakfast included in our package was nice, and complimented by a lovely view over the ocean every morning.
The staff were lovely and extremely helpful,
They helped us to book out whale shark tour and also arranged a taxi for us back to Cebu city on our last day. Can’t give them enough credit for being great hosts. Would definitely come back if we’re ever in the area again.
