It's close to where the tour starts, and the hotel itself is right on the beachfront, offering beautiful sunrises! The staff helped us book an excursion, and the rooms are spacious and clean. "HONEST EXPERIENCE and Please read for the CONS🧡 Bluewater Sumilon Island is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful resorts we’ve visited. The private island setting, surrounded by clear waters, creates a unique and relaxing experience. We also appreciated that the resort provides complimentary boat transfers for checked-in guests. The transfer was smooth, organized, and only took around 15 minutes. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with complete amenities and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Although our assigned room was quite far from the main areas, the resort’s shuttle service helped make transportation easier. The food exceeded our expectations. Both dinner and breakfast were served buffet-style, offering a wide variety of choices. Everything was well-prepared and enjoyable. One of the highlights of our stay was the staff. The activity guides, lifeguards, restaurant staff, and service personnel were consistently warm, welcoming, and accommodating. They were approachable and attentive to our requests throughout our stay. We also had an unexpected medical situation involving one of our senior companions, and we were grateful that there was a nurse on duty. The assistance and care provided were professional and reassuring, especially since the incident happened in the evening. However, there were also areas that could be improved. Our experience with the reception staff was disappointing compared to the excellent service provided by the rest of the team. Communication felt rushed, and at times multiple guests were being addressed simultaneously, which came across as unprofessional and less welcoming. The resort shuttle service also seemed overwhelmed during peak hours. With many guests needing transportation around the island, waiting times became longer. Adding more service vehicles could significantly improve convenience, especially for seniors, children, and guests with mobility concerns. Our biggest concern was the lack of exclusivity despite the resort’s positioning as a premium private island destination. The resort accommodates a large number of day-tour guests who share many of the same facilities. As a result, areas such as the sandbar, swimming pools, and lounge spaces often felt crowded. There were times when finding available benches or fully enjoying the facilities became difficult because of the volume of day visitors. For a resort that markets itself as a luxury private island experience, this was quite disappointing. While we understand the value of day tours for the business, overnight guests paying premium rates should ideally enjoy a more exclusive experience and better access to resort facilities. Overall, Bluewater Sumilon Island offers stunning scenery, excellent food, comfortable accommodations, and outstanding service from most of its staff. However, improvements in guest exclusivity, transportation availability, and front desk service would greatly enhance the overall experience and better justify its premium pricing."

"The staff is incredibly kind and professional and helpful! kudos to being so smiley. The hotel is very modern and sitting right on the water. The restaurant is literally overlooking the ocean and really very nice. It’s a beautiful venue. The rooms are rather small but functional. Aircon worked and the room was clean. Not the best mattress but it was alright for one night. Only downside is the smell of humidity and drainage but this seems common in this part of the world as well experiences that almost everywhere we went. Overall a good experience and very convenient to sleep at before doing the whale sharks and also near the ferry terminal to go to Panglao. Just a tip, if you’re a person with mobility issues please ask them to give you the ground floor room as there is no elevator access to get upstairs."

"The thing about the stairs need to be taken into consideration because it's A LOT of stairs. I really thought that people were exaggerating but it's almost a wall of China! completely worth it since you are down. Beautiful ocean! Full of turtles. and super comfy room. Best pillow in the whole Philippines. I was just upset because some guests were puting their music really loud on the common area, this is so disrespectful with others.. you can sleep with the sea sound and listen to the sea during the day unless people make you listen to Justin Bieber and pop USA music super loud.. the staff also listen to loud videos on their phone. .. so when I complained it was really hard for them to take some action and ask the other guests to put their volume down... The sun chairs are super comfy but only some of them are in the shade under a tree.. some umbrellas could be provided."

"We stayed for 4 nights. Pros: great location, right on the beach. Lying in the evenings and listening to the sound of the sea is always pleasant. There's a pool, sun loungers, and a bar/cafe also on the beach (it's all in the same area as the pool). The Whale Shark Swimming Area is a half-hour drive away. There's hot water in the showers and good pressure (after almost a month on various islands in the Philippines, we noticed that not every hotel has this). Reception offers excursions and mini-golf on site. Massage services are available. Pros: everything. Now the cons: terrible service. Even at the bar, you have to wait hours for food (for example, we ordered one dish per person and waited over 1:30). Cocktails, even simple ones, take a long time to make. The food is mostly tasteless. Once we ordered pasta Carbonara, but we couldn't eat it and decided against it. Room cleaning is only upon request, and that's not a big deal, but bottled drinking water is a real struggle. The surrounding area isn't cleared of trash. When checking out, we were given a bar/restaurant bill that was already partially paid, so check your bill and be careful. Overall: the place is good; if the hotel owners pay attention to service, it would be a great place."

"The staff were excellent! They checked us in quickly and were very polite, and overall, everything was customer-oriented! The view from the common lounge area is stunning; it's a real pleasure to sit on a chair and gaze at the sea. There's a great path with steps down to the sea, BUT the water itself is a bit dirty and has seaweed, which hides a huge number of sea urchins. The room itself is simple and small. There's a fantastic new air conditioner. There's a boiler, but hot water doesn't always come out of it. There are few outlets, and they are strangely placed."

"Место в 10 минутах езды на авто до акул, отличные собственники отеля, у нас была маленькая комната с общим туалетом, но в отделе Никто не жил кроме нас так что мы не заметили разницы. Утром как и везде на Филиппинах орут петухи , но это было терпимо. Из минусов это одеяло плед которое было очень коротким и синтетическим, а так же синтетические полотенца."

"We stayed here for one night before our shark excursion. We were very grateful for the late check-in after 9 PM and that they specially prepared dinner for us even after the hotel cafe had closed. There's parking available for cars. The rooms are located as close to the water as possible – you literally step out of your room and almost into the water, which is amazing! The sound of the surf at night even made it hard to sleep (which is more of a plus, really). The location is excellent, and they can arrange transfers for shark tours and priority queuing if you discuss it with the lovely lady at the reception. Regarding the room itself – the room is physically tired and needs some minor repairs. There are some condition issues, but the location makes up for it. The cleanliness is excellent. All the linens were clean and smelled like fabric softener (a pleasant scent). Breakfast was à la carte. You can definitely get your fill. It's not a buffet."

"Nice, cheap place to stay. Right on the water and has a decent pool with bar and restaurant. About 15 minutes away from whale shark area. Only complaint is that the WiFi isn’t great... went in and out of service entire stay"
