The room was spacious (around 21-25 sqm) with a nice queen bed that was quite cozy for a good night’s sleep. It came with all the essentials: air conditioning that worked well, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a refrigerator, desk, free Wi-Fi, and a clean private bathroom.
The hotel’s location is one of its biggest strengths — it’s right across from SM Southmall, so dining, shopping, and entertainment options are just a short walk away. Transportation is also easy with major roads and jeepneys/buses nearby. The staff were friendly, polite, and attentive, making check-in and requests hassle-free. Housekeeping kept the room neat and clean throughout my stay.
It’s a solid choice for the price — great value if you’re looking for a no-frills but reliable stay in the south of Metro Manila. The breakfast buffet was decent for the rate, though it could use a bit more variety. Minor cons: some toiletries felt limited (bring your own if you’re particular), and as an older property, a few areas show their age despite renovations.

Inside, the experience is much better—the lobby and rooms are clean and well-maintained, giving a sense of comfort and order. The staff deserves special mention for being attentive and helpful throughout the stay. The GRO (receptionist) greets guests with a genuine smile and provides accommodating service, which adds a personal touch to the overall experience.
If you value cleanliness and excellent customer service, Mella Hotel is a solid choice.
