My 1st experience booking an apartment. For a first timer, clear and precise instructions were deeply appreciated. Paradigm Residence is a well maintained building with impressive security facilities, convenient access to e mall as well. Our apartment with 3 bedrooms comfortably fitted 7 of us, it was on a high floor with a great night view. A couple of points to mention is that cleanliness can be improved and that as we were next to e highway, e traveling vehicles could be heard throughout e night, prayers nearby were audible around 6 or 7am too. There was a vacuum and a mop at e yard and we cleaned up upon checking in. Delight Homestay team is very prompt in providing instructions and response. Ultimately, it was a pleasant stay for my family and we will be back.

Overall, our stay at this hotel was very pleasant. The hotel is directly connected to a shopping mall, making it convenient to shop and dine.

While I was trying to collect the keys from the electronic letterbox area, the WiFi went down. Another lady also faced the same issue. So we got the admin to assist and she manually open the letterbox to pass us the key. When we checked in to the house, the access code given also could not be used. I had to WhatsApp the customer service and ask them for a new code. Thankfully, it was resolved pretty fast. The unit was pretty ok, just that the common bathroom had a very bad stench and odour, and one of the bedroom’s single bedsheet wasn’t changed for a while as there were specks of dust at the edges of the bed. I wasn’t aware that only 1 access card to be given for one apartment, as the last time we booked, we had 1 card each for a car. I was asking the UG lobby admin how can I get another access card, she told me to go to L5 and register FOC. After I took lift to L5, there’s only 2 function rooms, and a janitor room, another was exit to carpark. I went back to ask the admin again and she said it’s the carpark security. I WhatsApp and verified w the customer service whether it’s right and I got a reply “correct”. The security was very impatient and attitude, asked us to register for vehicle 2. But did nothing else. It was a communication breakdown and I gave up. Texted the WhatsApp number to check and sort it out for another access card, I was then told there’s only 1 access card. I wasted 1hour running up and down and nothing was resolved. It’s very inconvenient to be issued only 1 card when you have different families returning to the apartment at different timing.

The first day stay at unit 23-05 was terrible with an intense garlic smell lingering upon air con on at night. Bath towel has stain and requested to change at night. Staff replied unfortunately cleaner service is not available at 10.30 pm and no change in the end. Toilet odor was intensely with murky smell and difficulty to breathe. Beds caused itchiness. Pillows too soft and have dirty stains. Caused neck ache the next day. Customer service was not helpful and was largely disregarded in the late evening. Supposedly requested to stay in the same unit for 2 consecutive nights. Unbearable with the stay in 23-05 and was eventually changed to 24-10 which was much conducive for rest.

Best part was the location and having 2 bedrooms in the apartment. On hindsight, should have gone for hyatt at the same building where lobby is accessible within the mall. For this residence, had a hard time even trying to check in. First of all, the auto reply welcome message told us to whatsapp the number 1-3 day before on check in. When i did, there was no reply all the way even thought the number was indeed under antlerzone. Had no idea if this was because check in was not ready until after 4pm on checkin day and no choice waited till then. But still no reply so tried to look around for alternative contact number and finally got reply from another of their whatsapp number and only begun check in process then. By then kids was tired and irritated and the instructions givennto access the lobby was not helpful for families not driving. Had to walk up the cars’ slope to reach. Advice on alternative lift and entrances were not helpful. Families with young children or elderly need to consider these.

Avantgarde Hotel is surrounded by many foods/drinks shops/restaurants. There's a shop selling durian next to the hotel 😆 The hotel located 5 mins walk from Sutera Mall entrance door. It's happening in the mall now where many stalls selling cny foods, biscuits & decors. Beware when walking there as the pedestrians side road is blocked for construction. The hotel is a 3 storeys building with 1 lift. I appreciate the hotel staff for letting us to check in early. Unfortunately, we were given middle room where there's no window. So, the room can feel a bit suffocating with smell until the aircond fully cooled the room. The room is very spacious with 2 queen beds & a 2 seater sofa with a small round wooden table. The toilet is super spacious too but there's no wet/dry separation. The shower water will flow till the basin sink area. There's also no toilet/room slippers provided. Overall, it's a decent 1 night stay. ps : We have no problem to order Grab at 5.30am to reach the airport. It's also easy to order Grab during the day to travel around.

Location was outstanding - practically right smack in the middle of everything, from hotpots to karaokes, nightclubs / bars to Sutera Mall. Only issue we had was the lack of shampoo / shower gel, and the towels provided were not as clean as we expected. Soap dispenser was spoilt with no soap, so do bring your own! Otherwise, the rooms were the same as the photos you see.

Great location, but water supply was a real problem Rating: ⭐⭐⭐ (3 stars) Review: Book 2 rooms at Here Hotel Johor Bahru. The location is excellent—right near Sutera Mall with lots of food options around. There are also Karaoke and escape room around the corner. Super convenient for a short trip and Love the nostalgic shophouses vibes!!! However, the water supply was a major issue. The flow was weak and inconsistent, which made showering frustrating. For a hotel room, I expected basic amenities to work properly. Room was otherwise decent and clean, but the water problem really affected the stay. Good for location, but need to manage expectation. But for its price, it is valued for money.

Overall a good option for the area, with food, entertainment and shopping all around. The hotel has some minor weaknesses that can be worked on. Strengths: 1. Staff are pleasant. We especially loved the cleaning aunty who was very bubbly and helpful. 2. Second room card can be requested (with payment of a deposit) which helps guests move around independently. 3. Water dispenser provided for guests, adds convenience and is environmentally friendly. 4. Hotel looks to be in better condition than other options around the vicinity. Weaknesses: 1. Room floor feels slightly dusty, might help if cleaned with a vacuum. 2. Room had moths flying around, like plaster bagworms because the cocoons were seen everywhere, another problem that could be solved by vacuums. 3. Toilet does not have a towel rack, just 2 hooks which barely feels enough. 4. Water dispenser supposedly has a hot water nozzle, but does not dispense hot water. As mentioned, the weaknesses are minor, and can be easily worked on. I believe that Mood Hotel can actively look to renew their rooms as time passes to ensure it maintains itself as the lead option in the area! **Photo from Google, most of the other photos are from the early years (on Google or other travel sites). Only the counter looks similar.

The location is good. Surrounding full with restaurants. And 5 mins walk to Sutera Mall
