Hotels with Parking in Nago

Review of Onna Resort, Okinawa About me: I’m a frequent flyer to Japan and a long-time fan of staying at villas and resorts across the country. I enjoy discovering different accommodations across Japan. This time, I chose Onna Resort for a relaxing group trip. ⸻ 👍 What I liked: • Spacious resort– Very roomy and comfortable, easily fits 7–8 people. Perfect for families or groups of friends. • Clean and well-maintained – The entire resort was spotless and felt well cared for. • View exactly as shown in photos – Stunning ocean view that matches the listing. Great for enjoying sunrise and sunset. • Beach nearby – A beach is within walking distance. While it may not be the best in Okinawa, it’s still nice for a stroll or quick swim. • Washer and dryer setup – Includes both a washer-dryer combo and a separate dryer, which is especially handy for drying towels and clothes after swimming. • Well-equipped kitchen – Good selection of cookware and appliances for preparing meals. • Private and quiet surroundings – Peaceful setting with no disturbance from other guests. ⸻ 👎 What could be improved: • Inconsistent check-in information – The email offered early check-in, and a staff member via video call said I could check in at 2pm. But when I arrived, another staff said it was 3pm. This communication gap should be addressed. • Missing basic items – No cups or glasses were provided, obviously an oversight by the cleaning staff. • Limited towel supply – Towels are provided strictly based on headcount. Given the proximity to the beach, it would be more convenient to offer a few extra towels without needing to ask. • Limited Coffee Supply - The resort provides coffee bags based on headcount as well, which was insufficient for guests who consume two or three cups daily. A more generous and considerate coffee supply would enhance the experience. • Insufficient tableware – Only two large plates were provided. It would be more practical to include additional small dishes, rice bowls, and condiment plates (e.g. for soy sauce or wasabi), especially for guests who plan to cook. • Lack of basic cooking ingredients – It would be helpful if staple items like cooking oil, salt, and pepper were provided to make meal preparation more convenient. • No power outlets near beds – Most sockets were located low on the wall and away from sleeping areas, making it inconvenient to charge phones or devices overnight. • Weak Wi-Fi signal in places – Internet connection was spotty in some areas of the villa, although it offers several wifi spots within the resort, but still weak

Location was convenient for travelling around Nago. The pool had no water when we were there but there was good seating in the area. There were multiple spaces where there is free flow of alcohol and non alcoholic drinks, choice of peanuts and popcorn. There were game machines and a pool table on the 11th floor. In the middle of the grounds were also seating areas to enjoy the night air. Being located across from a beach is another attractive point. There are a number of good restaurants within walking distance and also a Family Mart just right across the hotel. The room is fabulous and well equipped with a nice bath.

The hotel room was very spacious and well-equipped. There's a convenience store nearby, and many other shops are just a 10-minute walk away. The location is quite secluded, though, and there are very few streetlights at night, so it took some time to find it by car. Also, the soundproofing isn't great; there was quite a bit of noise when cars passed by at night. Overall, I had a good experience and would consider staying here again.

Pros: The rooms were gigantic and equipped with two ACs to keep the room cool. The staff was attentive. The location by the beach is nice. There is a lot of amenities but we weren’t able to use any because we checked in late. They seem to all close really early for some reason. Beds were comfortable and the little shops were super cute. I love the stamp rally that was happening when we were there. Cons: all the amenities closed fairly early. We weren’t able to enjoy them. You need a golf cart to get around which was extra cost. They’re quite pricey and very slow. All the restaurants booked up really quickly. Meaning unless you get there early, you have no choice in dining. We just drove out and got amazing food outside the resort.

This was my second stay. The environment was very relaxing. The high floor offered a view of the beach. There was also a convenience store downstairs. It was really convenient.

The hotel was very easy to locate, right off the main road, yet not noisy. The staff gave us a warm welcome and was very friendly and helpful. They are English speaking too. Room was spacious in Japanese standards. Very comfortable for 2 of us. Beds and beddings were clean and comfortable, we had very good sleep. Lots of amenities for you to pick at each floor lobby. And they have free washer and dryer on the 3rd floor too. Great for travellers staying longer. There are many restaurants and convenience stores all with minutes of driving in the vicinity. This is definitely a great place to stay.

For a decent price you get a convenient location not too far from the bus stop. The hotel has everything that is needed, and if you don't need cleaning, they treat you with 2 free items of your choice (beverages or ice cream). There is a public bath on the top floor (artificial onsen). The water temperature was 43 degrees (they have the thermometer), but it is open air, so it was comfortable. The staff was ready to help even during the night, and they allowed me to extend my stay for 2 hours. The hotel is not far from the road, but it was quiet during the night. Also, there is Nago port nearby, so, you can take a boat to Motobu port at 10am, which is really convenient.

The parking facilities were excellent, and the location right by the beach meant the view from the window was absolutely stunning. It was perfect for families with kids, as we could easily wash off the sand right in front of the hotel after a walk on the beach. The breakfast was also good for a light meal. My only minor complaint is that the cleanliness wasn't quite up to par, but overall, I was satisfied considering the price.

Almost self-catering accommodation. There's a large cemetery next door; I didn't pay attention to the comments when booking. The room was fully equipped, including a gas stove and frying pan. There was a washing machine in the room; closing the partition door reduced the noise considerably. There was a coin-operated 100 yen dryer downstairs. There was also a clothesline on the balcony. I was satisfied with the facilities, but dissatisfied because: 1. The air conditioning automatically turned off between 3:30 AM and 4:30 AM for two consecutive nights. Even when it turned on, it would only run briefly before stopping. 😠 2. The TV automatically turned on at 6:30 AM for two consecutive nights. I don't speak Japanese; could you please check if the previous guest set the automatic on/off function with the remote?

This new hotel, which I chose blindly, was actually pretty good. It's very quiet and suitable for a relaxing vacation. There are convenience stores and a few restaurants nearby, so staying for three or four days isn't an issue. You can also take the bus to explore. Overall, I was quite satisfied. However, the children's entertainment facilities by the sea were a real eyesore. They made an otherwise pristine beach look quite tacky (as shown in the last picture).
