GGranster72A beautifully renovated hotel in the old style perfectly located in the central old town of Catania.
Star all spoke English beautifully the room was a upstairs downstairs loft very comfortable with a magnificent ensuite.
Great views great location fantastic rooftop restaurant with bar both indoor an outdoor seating, which was terrific becauseit was quite chilly for a couple of nights I stayed there

CClaire MPapali was on the first floor of a very old building, so expect to walk up a few steps with your luggage, because there's no elevator ... But, the Signore who welcomed us was very friendly and even went downstairs - while I already could go into our room - to help my husband find a parking spot on the street nearby.
We had a very good night in a simple, but super clean and quite big room, comfy bed as well ... Bathroom was nice and clean with plenty of towels ...
The first picture I took in the morning after our night at Papali out from the balcony, the second was taken in the morning when we had our breakfast served kindly in the little dining area ...
Btw, Papali is located wonderfully - it's an easy walk to all the main sightseeing spots of Catania! I added some pictures of our evening walk ...
Summary: Papali is a great choice locationwise and if you do not want to spend too much, but still want to have a cozy night at a simple but friendly and nice place.

Ssalvalasilvia The room isn’t huge but it makes do.
But I cannot understand why there’s never a plug beside the bed. People need to charge their phones.
The bathroom is ok but there is nothing to place the toiletries in the shower, so you’re forced to either bend over in a very small space either open the shower multiple times and make a mess.
The main issue is the breakfast. It’s the land of desolation and it’s really a pity.
The croissants and the brioches are good, but regardless of the time of your arrival it’s never refurnished.
No marmalades, 3 butters, 2 Nutellas, only one typeof cereal, no milk.
Everything is missing, it seems raided.
Why pay for an hotel breakfast if there’s less food that at home or any café?
It could happen once, not constantly.

SsundncrThis is a wonderful location to stay a night before an early morning flight to the airport. The stay was wonderful too. The hotel has a big pool to relax and the grounds are kept neat. The room had a view of Mount Etna and it was thrilling to see the Mountain during Sunrise. The staff were friendly and receptive. Rooms were large with a big clean bed and linens. Bathroom was more than average size. It was a good and relaxing stay. I think parking is free here. There is a bit of Industrial area around the hotel, but it is very safe. Saw plenty of families with kids enjoying their stay. The hotel has a wonderful restaurant to try the local food. English is spoken by almost all the staff.

六六卡拉The breakfast was very good and the restaurant had a nice view by the pool. But there is no airport shuttle bus.... can help to call the car to the airport 25 euros do not hit the table. The room facilities are also very old, although there is a balcony, but the balcony is facing the computer room....... The waiter attitude is OK.
