Overall, both the service and cleanliness are good But for couples, it's not quite worth it because the sound leaks, sometimes we can hear people coming in and out of the room hahaha even though we're watching a movie

The hotel has a great design. Although the rooms are small, the beds and pillows are clean and comfortable. You can watch the sunrise and sunset from the rooftop. The downsides are that there is no elevator, the staff is not well-trained, there is no restaurant, the parking lot is very small, and there are no slippers in the rooms.

Value for money. The front desk staff are efficient and responsive. They responded immediately when we requested for a room change because the room allocated to us initially was just next to the lift. We were given another room at the far most end which was quiet enough for a good night's sleep. The beds are slightly smaller than the other hotel beds which we have been to. And just like some other hotels in Java, we need to request for a hairdryer from the front desk. The breakfast food choices were excellent and we enjoyed the different local Javanese food for two mornings. The hotel's spa-massage service was also good and you'll need to book early for the session. Thank you.

I always choose this hotel whenever I visit the area because it consistently provides a comfortable and convenient stay. The biggest advantage is its excellent location. The hotel is directly connected to a shopping mall, making it incredibly easy to shop, dine, or simply relax without having to travel far. Whether I need daily necessities, restaurants, cafés, or entertainment, everything is just a few steps away. This convenience saves both time and transportation costs, which makes every trip much more enjoyable. Another reason I keep coming back is its outstanding value for money. The room rates are reasonable considering the quality of the facilities and the prime location. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and equipped with everything I need for a comfortable stay. The staff are also friendly, polite, and always willing to help whenever assistance is needed, making the overall experience even more pleasant. I also appreciate how easy it is to access nearby attractions and business areas from the hotel. Whether I am traveling for work or on vacation, the location perfectly suits my needs. After a busy day, I can simply walk into the shopping mall to enjoy a good meal or do some shopping before returning to my room. Overall, this hotel offers the perfect combination of convenience, comfort, and affordability. Its unbeatable location next to the shopping mall and its excellent value for money make it my first choice every time I visit. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay at a reasonable price.

This hotel has a unique and pleasant interior. The location is very strategic. The rooms are also comfortable and spacious. Generally, the cleanliness is good. However, there were some stains on the bed sheets. We checked, and the bed sheets had already been changed, but the stains were still there after coming from the laundry. Perhaps they could cross-check this with their laundry vendor. Even after we asked for new ones from housekeeping, they were in the same condition. Another minor point for me is the complimentary drinking water. It seems to be water from a dispenser (we don't know if it's refilled or not) served in a jug, not bottled mineral water. That's a bit odd for a 4-star hotel standard. But overall, it's okay.

You can park cars and motorcycles downstairs, and there's a supermarket not far away. The elevator is sensor-controlled, and the front desk lady was very friendly. There might be ants in the room, so if you're allergic to ants, you should check.

While it's clear the hotel has been around for a while and the decor is more classic and traditional, the overall cleanliness was spotless, and maintenance was excellent. The hotel's pool and gym were also very clean, perfect for relaxing after a busy day.

Everyone was friendly..Staff were helpful and polite..They greeted you everytime they see you..Some even offered to assist you even though if you didn’t ask.Service was simply perfect,no complains! Gym and pool were under maintenance.Construction was going on at the main hotel.Wasn’t aware of the maintenance till you checked in (Maintenance Notice placed on room table).Maybe updates should be reflected on third party apps or via whatsapp to avoid disappointment. Wifi was poor.For a well rated hotel,this was a huge letdown.Management & maintenance should look into this.Was staying at room 806.Not sure if other floors or rooms are encountering this problem.Ended up using data roaming through my 3 days there.

Nice Stay with Great Location and Local Vibes I stayed at Surya Boutique Hotel Semarang and overall had a pretty good experience. The location is great — super close to both Poncol and Tawang train stations, so it's really convenient if you're catching a train. There's also an Indomaret and Alfamart nearby, plus tons of street food at night. The nasi goreng and bakmi Jawa around the area were seriously good! Not far from the hotel, there's an old mosque built in 1802 is really beautiful and full of history. It’s a reminder that Semarang used to be an important port city, visited by Arab and Chinese traders. Worth a quick visit if you're into cultural spots. The only downside was the receptionist during check-in , she didn’t smile and wasn’t very welcoming, which was a bit disappointing. But later in the day and the next morning, a different receptionist was on duty and she was really lovely and friendly, which made up for it. Breakfast was okay for a 2-star hotel , simple but enough. Just a heads-up: there’s no hot water kettle in the room, so if you need hot water, you might need to ask the front desk. All in all, it’s a good place if you’re looking for a convenient and affordable stay in Semarang with some nice local flavor. Hope they keep improving!

The hotel is quite old and very big, but everything is still well-maintained and in good condition. It offered good value for money for three people plus a friend. We enjoyed beautiful views of Mount Ungaran every morning. The breakfast was delicious, with a different menu offered daily – absolutely fantastic! One thing that made us quite reluctant to move was the incredibly long walk from the reception to the elevators. The restaurant is also quite a trek from the elevators, which is understandable given how massive this hotel is. If you're staying alone, I wouldn't recommend this hotel; you might get the creeps walking around by yourself, haha! However, if you're with a big group and kids, it's fine and not spooky. But precisely because the hotel is so huge, the distances to the elevators and restaurant are considerable, and it can feel incredibly deserted! 😭😭😱😱
