Hotels with Parking in Newbury

Ideal location for visiting local motorhome show. Room was separate to the Inn which meant we were not affected by the music being played. Room was a lovely size with a comfortable double bed, side tables and wardrobe.  A desk with a couple of drawers with tea/coffee making items and two bottles of water was also in the room. The shower was large with good water pressure and lovely temperature control. Toiletries were provided in the form of small bottles of shampoo, shower gel etc. electrical heaters were provided but were not needed during our stay.  Ate food in the Inn. The first night service was slow as table booked for seven but wasn’t asked what we wanted until quarter past eight!  It wasn’t that busy that night but that was the only negative. The food was delicious and the breakfasts were exceptional. All the staff were very friendly and we would definitely stay again if we were in that area again. I like this hotel very much, very special, the restaurant breakfast is a la carte, but the bread blueberry yogurt is free. The room also gives two bottles of glass bottled water for free every day, but it is not mineral water, and it is also the drinking water of the locals. The hotel is in the small town of Newbury, the surrounding environment is beautiful, there are many English country villas 🏡, I saw a good heart 💗. I just want to enjoy the rural scenery different from the city 😄

Was a lovely stay, room is an old converted cottage, big and comfortable beds and wonderfully clean bathroom. The staff were friendly, chatty and helpful in every way. 10/10 will recommend anyone to stay here and hopefully will beck again one day.

The lodge is a great location if you are going to the racecourse. We arrived at around 1:30 as the first race was at 2:30 and was told that if we wanted to check in early we would have to pay a fee of £20. When the races often start at around 2-2:30 this seemed unreasonable. I had to come out of he racecourse between races to check In. I’ve stayed at the Lingfield racecourse hotel and they checked us in 12:30 as our room was ready. Went for breakfast at around 7:50 and there was no menus out, the staff seemed totally disorganised. There was no instructions on how to order food. The continental “help yourself” was ok but had very little fruit options. They did have alpro soya and oat milk as milk alternatives. The room was clean and tidy but very basic. It did have a free standing fan which was good in the warm weather. The bad was big and comfortable. The shower was nice and had shower gel. The customer service let it down a little.

Overall pretty good. I wasn't expecting much but the room is nice and spacious, especially the bathroom. The secret garden is a pretty lovely place to hang out, and the staff was really friendly.
