Lower Thorton farm a set in idyllic farm location. It’s beautiful surroundings and scenery makes anyone ignore the travel time to the south West. The accommodatio at the property is well attended For and catered by Alison who keeps it meticulously clean . Location is very quiet and peaceful and would entice anyone looking for a good couple of days of getaways into the quiet nature.

Great weekend stay with my son I spent the weekend at the Holiday Inn Express Exeter East and we had a really enjoyable stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was really nice, and all the staff we came across were polite, friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a great experience and couldn’t really fault the hotel. I’ll definitely be staying here again and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Exeter.

The Hotel Rougemont is a truly beautiful and elegant property. I was immediately impressed by the interior design. It has a classic, sophisticated feel that makes the stay feel special. The room was exceptionally clean and provided a very comfortable environment to relax in. In terms of amenities, it had everything I could possibly need. It was great to find a hairdryer, an iron, and a full bathtub already in the room, which made the stay very convenient and hassle-free. The only downside to my stay was a frustrating experience regarding the checkout time. When I booked, my confirmation stated a checkout time of before 2:00 PM. However, at 12:00 PM, I received a phone call stating it was time to vacate the room. When I explained my booking details, I was told that the late checkout was ”subject to availability.” This was never mentioned during the booking process, nor was it brought up when I collected my keys at the front desk. Being told at the last minute that your confirmed time isn't guaranteed was a disappointing end to an otherwise lovely stay. Was not a fan of that mid-day surprise.

The room is well lit, clean and simply beautiful. The staff, especially Sahas (sorry, if I spelt your name wrongly), are friendly, helpful, resourceful, and patient. As a first time traveller to the UK, I found the hospitality so genuine and reassuring that my stay at the hotel was gonna be smooth and safe, considering the location of the hotel being slightly distant from the city. The only thing I was a bit disappointed in was the fact that I didn't get to experience British pub and dining at the hotel itself because the hotel pub and restaurant are temporarily closed, I suppose. Anyway, the hotel makes a great effort to introduce several local restaurants nearby, so thank you for that. I will definitely be thinking of coming back to the Gissons the next time I look for an affordable, friendly, and comfortable hotel to stay in Exeter.

As usual with my frequent visit to this area I find Woodbury Park hotel has been my preferred place to stay. Staff are lovely kind and helpful. It’s a beautiful hotel satin a very picturesque location surrounded by pleasant scenery. Hotels and rooms are very clean and well attended to. Restaurant services are clean and impeccable. Credit goes to the chefs and the team who managed the service. I have had a pleasant breakfast service during my stay at Woodbury. I hope the staff and the team at Woodbury keep up the good work and encourage us to use them during my future trips to the area.

The hotel is in a lovely location, surrounded by beautiful Devon countryside, I wish I'd had more time as there is some lovely walks from the hotel. My room and bathroom were spacious and clean, just a few cobwebs here and there which can easily happen at this time of year. My car was full of my son's university stuff, but because of the location I wasn't worried about leaving it in the hotel car park - I wouldn't have been able to do that in a city centre hotel. This is the second time I've stayed in this hotel for a Exeter Uni drop off and would recommend it, a comfortable, countryside stay at a good price around 20 minutes from the city. The lanes can be narrow in places but that is the case in most of Devon.

The room was very clean and comfortable, and the scenery outside the window was very good. Some facilities such as a kettle have more scale, but it is also an understandable place. It will be very quiet at night overall, but it depends on whether the person living next door speaks loudly, otherwise you will clearly hear the noise of the human voice and have difficulty sleeping. This is also the only unsatisfactory point for me is the poor sound insulation. The restaurant in this hotel is very good, the breakfast is quite rich and the toast is very delicious. I believe this is one of the reasons I will choose to stay here. I hope to continue to maintain the advantages and try to improve the sound insulation problem, thank you.

An ok hotel very near the train station. They were very short staffed just 2 staff running reception and the restaurant, also very strangely the staff told us not to have their baby cot as poor quality. Appreciate the honesty but would recommend this is sorted

Great location, only 5 minutes walk from Exeter St David's train station. I've only stayed for one night due to business travelling. The breakfast variety and service experience was great, a good variety of refreshments. The building itself shows its age, and my floor was very squeaky, I hope there were no tenants below me! I've opted on with the shared bathroom option and the bathroom was sparkling clean. Overall great place!
