Very well placed for the Sandy Park Exeter Chiefs rugby club. The hotel is clean, staff helpful & friendly & maintained to a high standard. Food is a bit expensive but nice. Breakfast is buffet style & has many choices. We use this hotel regularly & recommend it

Value for money indeed. Never expect such a spacious and well-refurbished room at such an amazing price. Would recommend it to anyone who visit Exeter since it’s located exactly at the city centre and within 10 or 15 minutes walk from both railway stations.

Anonymous UserStayed here for one night in August. Was really impressed with the Telstar. Staff were lovely and very welcoming. Room was cosy (I had a single room) and had everything I needed. Breakfast was great and fab location in town for Exeter St David’s or Exeter Central station. Will definitely stay again when passing through!

The service is not good, the staff is very impatient.
The lobby and other public areas are closed at 11 o'clock, and friends are not allowed to use them even if they need to make a conference call, so the telephones in the corridor and the room will affect other guests.
The heating is not turned on at night, and it is not turned on after complaints.
The English breakfast set is OK. The restaurant also closes on time at 9:30.

We stayed for just one night. A much better experience than we had expected, given some of the recent reviews.
The room was large and clean. The bathroom was also very clean and had a lovely,spacious walk-in shower.
The bed was comfortable and we slept well.
Our only negative was that the car park was absolutely full when we arrived at 3:30pm … and the staff checking us in couldn’t have cared less!
