TTrevor McMullanWe stayed 3 nights. Pretty much everything was straightforward. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, though a little dated in parts (swimming pool area). Parking was expensive but easy, and the location close to the City Centre was just a dream. All of the main Roman and city attractions are within easy walking distance. Â All in all a really good stay. The only niggle I have, is that on the first night we ordered room service after a long trip. It took 3 attempts for the order to be correct. This was disappointing but at the end of the day, it was no massive issue.

GGuest UserFirst visit to Chester and took a chance on deciding where to stay. We loved this hotel and the location is ideal at the side of the canal with a short walk to 2 nearby lovely pubs. The rooms were very nice and relaxing with the bathroom on the small side but perfectly functional. The staff are amazing and every one of them was very friendly and welcoming. We did eat in the hotel on the first night and the food was fine. Would certainly recommend this hotel and hope to visit again next year.

GGuest UserWe had a lovely greeting and a pleasant suprise our room was ready early so we were able to go straight to the room.
The room was spacious, quiet and clean. Lovely toiletries in bathroom.
The staff throughout were always friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was good although a few items were not replenished for quite a while.
We have stayed previously as location is excellent and we are always happy with the service and standard.

DDrVicThe location of this hotel is great, very close to Chester and all the attractions around.
In terms of the room, our room was very spacious and the bed was very big. However it was two singles joined together, so a gap between the two.
This is probably where the good bits end. The size of the room and bathroom really was a positive though, especially travelling with a baby.
We had to pay ÂŁ5 to hire a travel cot and in the end we didnât use it. The cot mattress appears to have never been replace and was very thin and lumpy, making it redundant. The wooden slates at the bottom of the crib could be felt very dominantly through what was left of the mattress, meaning our baby was waking up uncomfortable and we had to transfer him to the bed.
In terms of things that could do with improvement:
Cleanliness
The room floor was very dirty and could have benefited from an additional vacuum. Initially I put this down to arriving on New Yearâs Day and then having a lot of people check out that day, but the whole hotel appeared a little bit grubby on closer inspection.
The spa pool was exceptionally dirty. The floor coming out of the changing room covered in hair and general dirt. The showers looked like they hadnât had a good scrub in months, with yellow build up all over the floor and walls. Not what you expect from a spa! To top it off after swimming I have contracted the Norovirus.
Service
Our first encounter with the reception staff was great the lady very welcoming and friendly. We met the cleaner as well who was also lovely. The rest of the staff we encountered were not so great. Either rude or disinterested, I get that it might not be your dream job but service with a smile goes a long way.
Facilities
The hot water takes a while to come through at busier times, this is signposted in the room. However, the water does not get very water at all. It does come through at a pleasant temperature, but not great if you like a bath or shower on the warmer side.
There are three times a day when you can go swimming with children. It would be great if these times were restricted to children/families only, as there were quite a few adults sitting around the poolside and in the hot tub.
Breakfast was ok, but a lot of the time left uncovered.
Overall not a great stay and would be unlikely to stay again.

GGuest UserService, cleanliness and location of this hotel made it a lovely spot for a quiet getaway. Service at breakfast was particularly brilliant and check out at 12pm was a lovely bonus. Just wish there was some access to the pool included at ÂŁ20 for 2hrs each person felt particularly steep.

JJema MayburyStayed here last night, everything was perfect. Our room was lovely and clean and had everything we needed for one night. The hotel is close to the city so just an uber ride away. The staff were friendly and welcoming and we opted for the breakfast the next day which was delicious. Would definitely stay here again.

GGuest UserWhen I used the pool it was virtually empty. I love that it was open until 9pm as it meant I could swim after a long day out.
The room was big and spacious. Only downside is the shower wasn't great, there wasn't much power and the water was too hot. Could have done with having air con or even a fan as it got quite hot in the night.
Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay

GGuest UserAs a big fan of Premier Inns I felt this one wasn't up to their usual standard. Beds always very comfortable but the bedding wasnt adequate, slightly ill-fitting. Also the room was cold and the air con set to high did not work. The TV also did not work in our room, aerial connection was cited aa the reason on-screen.
On a lesser and more personal note, i like the scrambled eggs option in the morning but only fried eggs were offered at breakfast.
