Spacious room, sufficient for two colleagues. Thoughtful amenities, provided additional pillow options, as well as turndown service. Good strong coffee with Nespresso machine. WiFi wa rather intermittent, kept getting disconnected during zoom online meeting but otherwise able to do emails. Short walk to conference venue (Lille Grand Palais). Limited food options nearby, often walked to Lille Flandres side or Town Centre for meals. Service was very responsive, some housekeeping staff were able to speak English. Nice touch at the end with door chocolates upon checkout. Overall a good experience.

Quiet and cozy, this charming old house has been refurbished into a beautiful hotel! Room was petit but bathroom was a good size. Bed and bedding were very comfortable and we enjoyed a solid sleep. Floors are bit creeky but that adds to the old house experience! Staff are outstanding and it was spotless. Another big bonus is the ten minute walk to the train station!

Relatively disappointed by our experience in this Mama Shelter. Better than others, in particular Bordeaux. A room more than average cleanliness, joints that start to moisture, a water leak that is not cleanly repaired, a end of the window's circumference broken and not repaired what can be quite dangerous, a air conditioning that works in Alternance and I'm going through. Hele ruime kamer en dichtbij allemaal winkels. Prima badkamer met lekkere douche. Om 11:30 uur kwam ik terug van een wandeling en werkte de cijfercode van de kamer niet meer terwijl ik tot 12 uur in mijn kamer mocht blijven. Bij de receptie aangegeven en toen liep er iemand mee die de deur open deed. Eenmaal op mijn kamer bezig kwam er weer iemand van housekeeping binnen. Gelukkig was ik mij niet aan het omkleden. Ik snap niet waarom ze de kamer in gaan als je tot 12 uur mag blijven en ik nog niet had uitgecheckt. Ik zal de volgende keer het kaartje aan de deur hangen met niet storen. Verder waren ze wel erg vriendelijk en raad ik dit hotel aan iedereen aan.

The hotel is located across from the train station Lille Flandres. The receptionist is located in the bar. Pressing the bell on the side door is useless. The room number does not include the floor number, so be sure to ask the receptionist. I could not find the flush button for the toilet at the beginning. It is located on the side of the toilet. There are many electrical cords under the toilet, which is weird. Overall it was what I paid for: a cheap hotel to catch my train in the morning.

We were assigned an accessible junior suite though we didn't request an accessible room.. The bathroom was half finished and the wiring was not completed with the switches for the separate toilet and bath located in the doorway. There were signs pasted on the door to the toilet and the door to the shower stating that the hotel offered its apologies for the inconvenience! There was a workman's support pole found under the sinks which had to be removed by the technician when we complained. There was not a single hook, clothes stand, towel rack or rail anywhere in the bathroom, toilet or room. The hotel staff explained that they would send a technician a second time to drill hooks in the bathroom, we didn't bother since we were staying only 2 nights and didn't want the dust. The shower glass in the shower stall could not contain water within the stall and the floor became wet after we showered. Location wise the hotel is perfect and the staff were polite. Breakfast was a mix of hot cooked food and the usual cold cuts, cheeses, breads, yoghurt, fruits and juices. The breakfast room changes to a bar at night which serves affordable and nice cocktails.

Hotel rooms are small, show is tiny and sound insulation is terrible. Take Ear Buds if you want to get any sleep in these rooms, you can hear conversations so clearly through the walls of neighbours on the side and above. Staff are friendly, breakfast for EUR 6 is not worth it, there is a much better buffet breakfast for double that price across the parking if you are hungry in the mornings. Overall, would not return due to the lack of ability sleep with all the noise. If you are looking for a cheap option with secure parking, this is potentially a decent option. More than 2 nights is difficult to justify.
