GGuest UserI booked Fanqi B&B after reading online reviews. On the morning of the day I submitted the order, I received a call from the store telling me about the nearby parking lot. I arrived at the B&B that night and found that the small front door was a different world from the inside. The four-entry courtyard has a history of a hundred years. The store owner was very enthusiastic and upgraded our room and introduced the historical story of the courtyard. He also provided us with scenic spots and food guides for visiting Jianshui. The room and bathroom were also very clean, the hot water temperature was very high, the breakfast was very rich and provided according to our requirements. The B&B also provided free Hanfu for us to take photos and barbecue around the stove. Traveling off-peak, there are not many tourists. We found the feeling of home in Fanqi, which made us start a pleasant journey

YYigexiaomoI'm a lazy person who rarely writes reviews, but this time I was deeply moved by the owner and his family. Even the cleaning lady was so friendly and lovely. It truly revitalized my solo trip to Jianshui. The hotel is perfectly located, away from the hustle and bustle, yet very close to the train station and the ancient city—just over a hundred meters away. There are many traditional rice noodle shops just outside the door, so you can leisurely fill your stomach before heading out to explore.
When I was going to and from the station, the owner drove a tricycle to the intersection to pick me up, worried about the inconvenience of lugging my luggage, even though it was only a few steps away. In the morning, when they saw me in the room, they asked if I wanted breakfast (my reservation didn't include it). I had already eaten, but the owner insisted on giving me an egg for protein and a box of brown sugar before I left. The ladies said they'd come back next year, and I replied, ”I'll be back in two months!” ❤️
I'm from the north, and this family is so gentle and polite. The entire inn is elegant and grand. The two-story courtyard is surrounded by bougainvillea, where you can swing on the swings, watch the moon, drink tea, and chat—it's so relaxing. The interior is on par with a four-star hotel in the city, with separate wet and dry areas, disposable towels, and brand-new hard and soft furnishings. The air is also very airy. I don't like old, dingy hotels, so this truly felt like home!
Thank you again to the owner for his thoughtful hospitality. He booked me a train ticket in the middle of the night, provided me with food, drinks, and hairbands, and offered travel advice along the way. Please keep driving! I'll be back with friends.

This stay was a complete surprise! The hotel completely changed my perception of traditional hotels. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I felt the immense care put into every detail.
In terms of hardware facilities, the modern design of the public areas made me feel very comfortable and sophisticated, with no hint of being outdated. The in-room facilities were very complete and comfortable, especially the mattress – it was just the right firmness with excellent support, allowing me to lie down and relax completely, ensuring a super comfortable night's sleep. The whole environment was decorated very warmly, giving a 'welcome home' feeling as soon as you entered.
The service experience was an even bigger bonus. Every staff member had a kind smile, and their service was incredibly warm and attentive. From check-in to check-out, every step made me feel respected and valued.
Overall, this is a hotel with a beautiful environment and excellent service. I highly recommend it to all travelers seeking quality!

GGuest UserWe actually came back to this hotel for a second stay after visiting the terraces, which says a lot about the overall experience.
The location is fantastic, very close to the old town and right by a lovely lake, making it really special. The girls at reception are also incredibly kind and helpful, even if they don’t speak English, they do their best using a translator.
Cleanliness was decent but could be improved a bit. We would recommend choosing a higher-category room, as the basic ones feel a bit outdated and less comfortable.
Overall, a great stay mainly thanks to the amazing location and the kindness of the staff.

The owner of the inn is very enthusiastic and provides a lot of useful suggestions and help. We are very satisfied with the environment and facilities of the inn. The location of the inn is very convenient, very close to surrounding attractions and business districts, which is very suitable for tourism or business trips and frequent visits to Youyou. GGuest UserIt's a hostel with a very homely environment. The manager will invite you to drink tea with him, the courtyard is a very chill area to hang out in and even spend all day to the sound of flowing water and surrounded by plants. There is a kitchen available too, and the manager brings water from the well daily for the use of the guests. The dorm was comfortable and the lower beds have curtains but the upper ones don't.
The manager sometimes organises events for the guests, such as the time when we went picking mushrooms and visited a local market from where we bought more mushrooms which were cooked for dinner, all at a very good price.
The location is excellent, just 1 minute walking to the south gate of the ancient city.
I will not hesitate to stay here again when I come back to Jianshui.

1) First of the location is great, inside the old city of Jian Shui, close to the western gate.
2) the room was specious with all the equipment needed (toilet, hot shower, super comfy bed, AC, TV etc…).
3) the room was clean and the hotel decoration is very beautiful, which gives very good relaxation feeling.
4) the owner is super kind!
He helped me with in formation (about recommended food areas, and about a day trip to YuanYang), and i got bitten by a dog i played with and he gave me first aid- everything with a smile and a kind attitude!
Highly recommended, one day when i will be back in Jian Shui, i will definitely stay here.
