While we were still asleep, real ostriches came to 'tap' on our window, waking us up! My little one made eye contact with them through the glass, and that kind of wondrous encounter with animals is just indescribable. Of course, the hotel's thoughtfulness went far beyond that. The snacks and drinks provided in the room were all my child's favorites – such a precise and thoughtful 'feeding' strategy. What's more, the hotel staff were all incredibly enthusiastic. The design of the house is very distinctive. Although it is in the village, it is only a minute or two away from the ancient city. This is my fourth time staying in Dapeng Hotel. Each time i come there are new surprises. Even though i did not reserve my room with breakfast, they offered me free breakfast for two persons for four nights booking. Furthermore, i aslo asked for laundry service. When i was checking out this morning, i was expecting a bill. But tye staff politely said i don't have to pay anything. It's free! My room was big with twin beds with a table and three chairs which was good for conversation! Also they cleaned the room and everything was in order. So I would highly recommend Dapeng Hotel if you thinking of staying in Huian.

Thoughtful service, the front desk staff (both ladies and gentlemen) were very polite. 4. Delicious breakfast with a good variety. Couldn't find any faults, it met the usual Howard Johnson standard. Will definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm passing through. Highly recommended!

Although this hotel has been open for a few years, it is very well maintained in all aspects. The facilities and equipment are clean and hygienic, and the rooms are also well-maintained, looking like they have been recently renovated. The hotel service is very good; everyone greets you warmly and proactively. What impressed me most was that the hotel allows you to stay for 24 hours and provides lunch, which is really great for a frequent business traveler like me. This is truly amazing!

We stayed in a 'tree cave' garden balcony room. The good thing is that our little one slept soundly in the 'tree cave' bed, so we didn't have to worry about them rolling off. The downside is that if an adult sleeps in there with a baby, there's not enough room to fully stretch out your legs. However, if your child can sleep independently, adults don't need to sleep in there anyway, so it's a non-issue. Plus, the balcony of the garden 'tree cave' room faces the castle, which is quite nice. It would be even better if there were a fireworks show during the holidays.

We came specifically for the ocean view room, and it completely exceeded our expectations—the beach is right downstairs, and you can see the azure sea and the magnificent sunset right from your bed—it's incredibly therapeutic! We even took the kids to go beachcombing after the tide went out at midday! The owner was incredibly welcoming, providing buckets and shovels for free. We dug up small crabs, clams, and even sea cucumbers, but some died before we could bring them back. We returned from beachcombing just in time for sunset. Watching the sun, like a salted egg yolk, slowly sink below the horizon, turning the entire sky golden red, sitting on the rooftop, enjoying the sea breeze and drinking coconut juice, I instantly felt that life was worthwhile!

Overall, the room facilities were quite good, but the washing machine was broken and unusable when not being repaired. Contacting the front desk to have a cleaning lady come and check it out, but she then had to contact the manager, which was quite inconvenient. Breakfast could be more varied.
