In the evenings, you can go stargazing, with options for an indoor lecture and actual observation from the rooftop. The instructor mentioned that summer is the best season for stargazing, and if you want to spot your own zodiac constellation, it's best to visit around two months before or after its designated month. They even gave us wishing bottles for our own zodiac signs, which we filled with sand from Mingsha Mountain the next day to take home! Breakfast is different every day, with a thoughtful and nutritious selection. There's also an adorable cat who loves to 'accompany' you during meals, often sitting on a chair. This is hands down the best hotel I've ever stayed at in this price range, bar none. First, I booked two king rooms, and the hotel upgraded our room type. Second, after parking, a young man proactively greeted us, helped with our luggage, and brought it to our room. What's even more impressive is that when we drove again in the evening, we noticed our car's windshield had been covered with a sunshade – and so had all the other cars in the parking lot. When we returned from Mingsha Mountain and Crescent Lake after a late-night supper, it was already past midnight, and the hotel parking lot was full. The young lady on duty helped move an electric scooter and kept apologizing. Third, after checking out the next day, I went to Mogao Grottoes. The front desk called me to inform me that I had left my headphones behind and reminded me to pick them up. Later, after returning to Lanzhou, I realized I had forgotten a face mask I bought online that had been delivered to the front desk. After contacting the front desk, they proactively added me on WeChat, shared their contact information, and then sent it to my home via JD Express.

I loved the Courtyard B&B. The rural but very chic style. My room was generous, furnishing in the same traditional style. Clean throughout The reception area very attractive and provides nice secluded spaces for relaxing- working in my case) under Bamboo trees and mandala decorated glasses of the ceiling. Very peaceful. I very much appreciated the presence of a kittens with mum and a little doggie which I perceived like mascotte of the place. They were very well maintained and cared of. The stuff is very nice and helpful and we were able to understand each others in some way. I highly recommend this accomodation both for holiday and work.

I highly recommend this hotel to those who drive to Dunhuang with their kids. It has a bathtub, which the kids love very much. The room facilities are very complete, the environment is very good, and it is not far from the attractions. Every service staff is very enthusiastic, especially the lobby manager. Yogurt is given when you check in, and plush toys are given when you check out. The kids like it very much and said they will stay here again next time. Highly recommended. Very cost-effective.
