"The butler service was excellent and very responsive. We stayed in both the RV and the tent. My family in the tent said the wind was so strong at night they felt like they were going to be blown away, haha, but the tent was beautiful and still worth experiencing. The breakfast buffet was very good. It's truly impressive to have so many fresh vegetables available in the desert. When we visited, there was a bonfire party and folk music performance, though the butler mentioned it's not held every night. I came here last year and thought this hotel, deep in the desert, was amazing. Unlike other tent hotels that put up a bunch of haphazard things just to attract guests, this one was just a large expanse of clean, simple desert. The environment was elegant and refined, and the experience far exceeded my expectations. I raved about it to my family when I got back. To be honest, this year was a bit disappointing because I noticed they seemed to be setting up amusement rides like carousels. The grounds looked messy and it wasn't as serene as last year. And a carousel in the middle of the desert really feels superfluous... The kids were all busy digging, sandboarding, and socializing. I really hope it doesn't turn into a messy tent hotel. However, the butlers were all very dedicated and provided excellent service, which is something I can't fault."

"I stayed at the Dunhuang Hotel for three days in Dunhuang, and now I'd like to share my objective thoughts. The hotel is an iconic castle-style building with decor characteristic of the Northwest desert, and its location is unbeatable. From the room window, you can see the Mingsha Mountain, offering a wide and magnificent view, perfect for photos. Breakfast is served at the Zhaixing Pavilion, with an outdoor dining area directly facing the desert. The staff proactively helped set up sun umbrellas, and enjoying breakfast while looking at Mingsha Mountain was indeed pleasant. However, the food quality was rather mediocre. The highly recommended noodles by netizens, perhaps due to over-expectation, tasted quite bland. The yogurt was commendable, but the rest of the dishes were unremarkable. Especially the cut apples and bananas, which were visibly oxidized, looked very unappetizing. The room size was rather small, and the wooden bed was very unstable, creaking loudly when turning over. The indoor table was tiny, yet fragile ceramic cups were placed on it, posing a safety hazard for families with children. Upon check-in, we received a small gift, and fresh toiletries were replenished daily, indicating decent basic service. However, on the first day of our stay, our child, excited to see the view outside the window, broke a cup while pulling the curtains. We called housekeeping for assistance, and ten minutes later, the front desk called to request 88 RMB for compensation. Throughout the call, there was no inquiry about whether anyone was injured. However, as it was indeed our fault and we wanted our child to learn a lesson, we agreed to the compensation. Upon check-out, we requested to see the purchase invoice to verify the price. The front desk seemed hesitant and called the manager, who replied that the cups were purchased ten years ago and the receipt couldn't be found immediately, and then said we didn't need to compensate. The complimentary coffee and biscuits from the hotel, coupled with the Mingsha Mountain scenery, made for excellent photos. We were out early and back late, finally getting to enjoy them on the day of our departure. The airport transfer service was also hassle-free; we booked it with the front desk a day in advance, and the hotel arranged the departure time according to our flight schedule. We waited in the lobby ten minutes before departure and arrived at the airport in about twenty minutes. This hotel excels in its unique architectural style and unparalleled desert landscape, making it suitable for travelers seeking a certain ambiance. However, if you prioritize convenience, comfort, and value for money, it might be worth comparing with a few other options."

"Traveling through the Hexi Corridor, I flew directly to Dunhuang and stayed for four nights. This was by far the best hotel of the trip. The front desk upgraded our room to a family suite (with three beds) which was absolutely fantastic! 👍👍👍 The facilities are newly renovated and very modern, and the service was excellent with prompt responses. They also have self-service washing machines and dryers, which is incredibly important for long trips! Even the taxi drivers said this hotel was great. The location is convenient; Shazhou Night Market is less than a 10-minute walk away, and getting a taxi or the airport bus is very easy. I would definitely recommend it to friends~"

"The front desk staff were incredibly warm and helpful. They even walked me to the door and patiently explained the local routes. Anything I needed, they promptly brought to my room. I'm planning to stay here again in the winter! It's very close to the night market, but the hotel's design is so well-thought-out that there's no noise at night. They even thoughtfully offered apricot tea! Dining and transportation in the area are very convenient. It's also close to the Dunhuang Museum and several lamb restaurants that locals love, highly recommended! Getting to the Mogao Grottoes, the airport, and the train station is also very easy. The hotel offers affordable shuttle services, which is especially great for those who need it, particularly if you're arriving late at night!"

"This hotel/guesthouse is absolutely fantastic! It's very close to Mingsha Mountain, and the Mogao Grottoes are just a 15-minute drive away. The lovely guesthouse owners prepared welcome apricot tea, and they do an excellent job maintaining the place. Our room was spacious and clean, and the triple room had a balcony, though we didn't use it much. The common areas, both on the rooftop and the ground floor, are perfect for relaxing and enjoying the breeze in the evening – very comfortable."

"On this trip to Dunhuang, I stayed at the Sheraton Hotel. The customer service manager, Anna, was incredibly helpful and attentive. During peak season, hotel rooms were scarce, and I had only booked one night. Anna assisted me in extending my stay at the discounted platform rate. She also helped me book tickets for 'See Dunhuang Again' and even gave me a 30 RMB fruit voucher. I really appreciate Anna's thoughtful and meticulous service. Although the hotel room wasn't huge, it was very cozy and comfortable. You could even see distant views of Mingsha Mountain from the window. My child was particularly pleased as well."

"This hotel is quite unique, it's pet-friendly, has a rich breakfast, and also offers dinner. There's a simple dinner available in the second-floor restaurant before 11 PM. The parking lot in the backyard is also quite large. Although there's a cat room next to the elevator on the first floor, there's no pet odor, probably thanks to good cat litter. The room is spacious, with a foot bath tub and a treadmill."

"The big bed room ordered through Trip.com travel is good and cheap. The style of the hotel is very eye-catching, there is a ”Nine-color Deer” at the door, Xiao Liu at the front desk is warm and polite, the room is clean and tidy and comfortable, and the stay experience is good! "I stayed at Dunhuang Yuntian International Hotel for two nights from August 23rd to 25th, and I absolutely have to give it a rave review! I took the train from Lanzhou to Dunhuang. I had informed the hotel of my train number in advance, and to my surprise, they arranged a complimentary pick-up service. As soon as I exited the station, I saw the driver holding a sign waiting for me, and he even helped carry my luggage to the car. This start alone earned them major bonus points. The hotel's location is truly unbeatable, right next to Shazhou Night Market, just a few minutes' walk away. In the evenings, after exploring the night market, enjoying some BBQ, drinking apricot peel water, and buying souvenirs, I could just stroll back to the hotel. No need to worry about finding a taxi or walking too far. The bus to Mingsha Mountain stops right at the entrance, and a taxi to Mogao Grottoes only takes about ten minutes, making it super convenient for sightseeing. I chose a room with a humidifier. Dunhuang is naturally dry in August, and with the humidifier on, sleeping was so much more comfortable; I didn't wake up in the middle of the night with a dry throat. The mattress was a zero-pressure type; you just sink into it, and I slept incredibly well. The hot water came on quickly, and the vanity thoughtfully provided disposable facial towels, which is a nice touch for women. The front desk staff were also very friendly and check-in was fast. Breakfast starts at 7 AM and includes freshly ground coffee, yogurt, fruits, and local snacks. It's great not to have to go out hungry early in the morning looking for food, especially useful for those heading to Mogao Grottoes early. Overall, for this price, to stay in the city center with pick-up service, a rich breakfast, and a clean, comfortable room, the value for money is truly high. I genuinely recommend this place for solo travelers or those bringing family to Dunhuang. I'll definitely stay here again next time!"

"Booked this place after reading reviews. The exterior isn't much to look at, but the interior is newly renovated, and the service is excellent. They have triple rooms, which are great for families. When guests upstairs were noisy on the first night, they immediately helped us switch rooms the next day. It's also very convenient for getting to several attractions. Taxis are easy to catch in the city."
